If you can answer question, do you have meatloaf letterman performances 1993 1994. Afraid they will disappear. I Start day with M.L. Love him forever. FYI these videos help me find meaning to M. L. Songs after years of blasting them in car not always catching words. I despise criticism of him. I have long term marriage to one just like him (not musical, but otherwise) wouldn’t trade him for a billionaire. And we “ain’t” young, so older videos really takes me back. Every video interview you can find, pls. Thanks again,
One of the only people who could ever do opera, theatre, and rock n roll while telling you a story you couldn’t stop listening to. A truly legendary performer! RIP big meat!
@@johnhand8879 Fine, then; one of VERY FERW people who could do all of that. Satisfied now, nitpicker? I swear, you are even worse than I am. Give it a rest already. You don't like him or his art, you should go elsewhere. Now is not the time to be such a dick.
People that are saying that, he wasn't a handsome man, need to look past their surface comments. He was a beautiful man, talented beyond belief and will never be forgotten. 💜
Those people are crazy. I have listened to dozens of his interviews and he is one of the most honest decent people I have ever watched. I keep all he said.in my mind when I watch his incredible videos and performances. I adore him because he’s the real deal inside and out. The interviews I have watched over and over have made me laugh and cry
People get too hung up on looks, just shows how sad their lives are. I don't know too much about Meatloaf, but there is no doubt as a rockstar he was one of the most down to earth person - which is crazy given his level of fame - a legend!
So, I’m going to attempt to find the original file for the full concert where this is from on my cloud storage and hard drives and if I find it I’ll upload it all.
@@jakeandhenryvideos actually this live version is being played in C major if you listen/see carefully. The original recording is 2 semitones higher in D major in case you don't know. Therefore that argument is not valid since Guns used the same key on the live and recording versions. (Axl's piano was always tuned a semitone down).
There are many powerful songs, many emotional songs, many romantic songs and many passionate songs. But there is only one “I’d do anything for love”. This song is something special, and to me, it will forever be the greatest song of all time.
WHAT did I just WATCH?! That. was. gorgeous! THAT is passion! Not a song, just intense feeling. Meatloaf said he never played a character singing a song, he BECAME the song. Yes indeed! They told a story, all of them - did you SEE the musician on his right using his entire body to play, his movements?! Unforgettable, I hope he gets to relive this moment in Heaven. God bless, Meatloaf. 💙
If watching this 29-year-old video alone on a Saturday night (2 days post this legend’s passing) is wrong, I don’t want to be right. This was a major part of the soundtrack of my youth. What a performer he was! RIP to the Loaf and thanks for the memories. 🙏💔
I was expecting a concert performance but ended up feeling like I just watched a full Broadway musical. Sheesh! I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to find out who sings this song. Bravo!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 🌹 🥀 💐🌸
My children fell in love with his music and loved to imitate him and the laughter and love in the air in our house at the time was priceless 💕 I hope you get to sing for God in Heaven❣
This is back in the days when people could actually sing. Meat Loaf is so unusual, there can't be many rock artists who have an operatic voice. He could easily be a Tenor.
What immediately grabbed Jim Steinman's attention, besides this great presence walking into the room to audition for his musical, was that Meat was a Heldentenor. Jim grew up with Wagner so discovering a singer like this was an amazing moment for him.
My teenage years were full of his music, from working at a summer camp (first real girlfriend) to every break up to the next new love. The day I got my license and drove my Trans Am until the sun came up! .98 cents a gallon gas and $1.25 Marlborough lights blasting his earlier albums out of my pioneer tape deck with the T tops off!! Now I am 51 and the music brings me back to those days. The day I left for boot camp to my 1st deployment to the Gulf in 1991 to the day I got out of the Army in 2006. Thanks Meat for all those soundtracks to my life and sharing this with my 15 year old daughter who loves his music too.
Such an amazing song. The final accusation that’d he’d eventually cheat, and Meat’s reaction... I almost forget it’s an act in a play. She sounds and looks convinced of this “truth”. He sings his rebuttal with such authenticity, passion, and conviction. A masterpiece
One of the best rock songs ever written. Meatloaf and Jim Steinman were utter geniuses. My mum loves their music and passed this onto me in my childhood. ❤
Not just the musicality, but the stage presence and performance factors! It’s one thing to play music, it’s a whole another to act it out. Meatloaf is a master at stage presence, no doubt!
Look, this cat was never my bag… that being said, I am sorry this performer is gone. He gave it all. It’s all we can ever ask of entertainers, and THAT he did. Whatever the other THAT was, Rest In Peace, good Sir. Miss your presence.
When i am listening to this song, or other song which come from this greatest era ( 80'90's) I feel like melted, cry and angry at the same time. I am old now but the memories will life forever.
What a loss for the world....RIP Meatloaf. Everything I hear him and Patti sing together, it over powers your emotions, and brings you to a place of love, power, soul, sex, and Rock N Roll. There'll never be another rock duo like Meat and Patti singing I'd do anything for love......

"I know the territory, I've been around. It'll all turn to dust and we'll all fall down." breaks my heart every...single... time. It reminds me of Annie Lennox's Walking on Broken Glass where the lyrics are devastating but the melodies and delivery are so beautiful and infectious.
