The application used is car scanner which is free.

If you’ve got android the Torque app has good reviews
The Recommended app was Called Auto Doctor, it was very poor and requires subscription to even turn off the warning light, this was deleted !
I bought the dongle today as I was having an abs sensor problem but did not know which one, this identified the passenger side rear, changed the sensor out and bingo. Great vid, very helpful.

Your post really helped me I wouldn’t usually buy the cheapest one but it was the best one. It found the fault straight away and at least your not going to break down knowing it’s a minor fault

For Android buy a Bluetooth one and use Torque (or the paid for version Torque Pro). Also great for cars like the base Aygo that don't have rev counter, engine temp ect.
This is the application that is recommended for android, and it looks great, unfortunately iOS doesn’t offer the app so car scanner was very similar, thanks for the great information gavjlewis 🛠🛠👍🏻

I know this is a little random. My missus has a 107xs which won't start but tries to. Replaced spark plugs but still no joy; changed and replaced battery. Rev counter when key is on ignition "dances about" which is odd...ordered new coils to see if that fixes it but clueless at this point. Electrical fault? Ps thanks for your replies too, your vids are very helpful :)

Which scanner are you using for abs. BMW 3 series abs light on. Put washers under sensors now airbag light coming on. Any ideas?

Thanks for the info! Since using a vgate Pro obd plug in I've been able to see abs codes using car scanner and also some basic coding too.

Have you tested anymore code readers as I'm looking to buy one but I don't know if to get one of them dongles. I have a aldi code reader which looks like the streetwize but it doesn't read pending codes. I also have the D900 2016 but that don't read pending codes but it looks like it has more functions than the D900 2017.

I’ve got a dongle but not sure if you can use any app with it. I have an issue with the traction light coming up on my bmw 3 series E90 and I’m interested in the live data as u said your one u reviewed had the 4 wheel speed live data, what app was it you downloaded, would be very handy if it worked on my dongle.

You say the disc is useless but I has some free apps especially that's what I got from ebay I downloaded the apps from the disc which otherwise would cost nearly £5

I went and bought this dongle and it doesn't work. I paid for the torque app for android and straight away that's set up for a bluetooth device so you have change it to wifi. Then when you scan for the dongle you see it ! but it won't connect Absolutely rubbish.
