“Heart is the most important element.” That’s why we watch you big man. You have a heart of gold.
Biiiiiig facts ❤
Truth❤
I agree completely.
100%
It is! Captain Planet goes mental without it!
"Why ain't it ever like 'Here come the puppies.'" 😂
Always an awesome reaction!
😂 glad that someone else thought that was funny. Made me giggle and it got my sub.
I almost fell out of my chair. Beautiful
Ian Holm is the actor who played the priest. He was also Bilbo Baggins in the Lord Of The Rings, among his many other roles.
He also plays Ash. A character in the first Alien movie. One of the first reacted to on this channel!
"I bet their ice-cream machine still broke." 😂
Murderwhistle is too funny at times 😅
I about died at 29:53, it looked like you were rubbing Bruce Willis back when he woke up 🤣 🤣
OH MAN!!!! he is going to love this movie and I am going to love his reaction!!!
Agreed... How has he not seen this yet?
Milla Jovovich was in the resident evil movies.
Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier designed all the costumes for the movie and all the women in the blue outfits and the bald girl were supermodels in the 90's and some of his favourite models.
this is one of my favorite movies ever... i COULD WATCH IT A 100 times and wont get bored.
They are rebuilding a physically perfect being, and cast Milla Jovivich to play that role.
There has never and will never be a more flawless casting choice in history.
She do be pretty
14:24 “They got a *#!%+ McDonald’s in the future; I bet the ice cream machine is still broke.”
The master reactor at work.
This was directed by Luc Besson who also did The Professional with Gary Oldman before this. Besson is the most successful French director of modern times and he came up with this sci-fi story of The Fifth Element when he was a teenager. You should check out other movies of his: La Femme Nikita (which was later adapted into a tv series), Lucy (with Scarlett Johansson), and Valerian (an expensive adaptation of a classic French sci-fi comic book).
You have the most infectious, pure-hearted laughter I've ever encountered. I love watching your reviews. Keep being you, because you're awesome.
One of my favorite movies from the 90s. Never get tired of it.
Me (whenever I get burnt working the fryer):
"Cuz it's hotter than _hot;_ it's _Hot-HOT- _*_HOT!!!"_*
The credits song was "Little Light of Love" (end credits version) by Eric Serra.
Oh I can't wait. One of my all time fav reactors watching one of my all time fav movies!
I know lots of people who hate on it, but I agree, this is just a fun movie. Colorful, energetic, funny, breezy, well-paced, with memorable characters. Don't think about it too hard, just enjoy the ride.
LOL! I never considered The Fifth Element to be a jump-scare movie until today. Thank you for that!
Chris Tucker makes this movie! Fabulous!
@11:41, "The 4th kind" 😂
Star Trek is about the only hopeful future we have these days, and even then, sometimes not. Glad you liked this! I don't think I've seen you laugh so hard before, but Chris Tucker is so freaking funny in this.
Such a great movie. Chris Tucker stole the show.
14:25 "I bet the ice cream machine still broke" lol
32:46 "I ain't told you, but I got taste" lol
It's good to know Jay won't be in charge of the button that kills life's only hope. Lol
Chris Tucker is amazing in this role. So freakin funny. Love this movie.
Interesting note. The voice of Korbens mom is the same actress who played Marla in 'Gremlins 2'.
11:35 She was in a movie called Run Lola Run. It's an awesome underrated/ less known movie!!
Captain Planet😂😂
My man didn't realize the priest was Ian Holm, MF'n Bilbo Baggins!
Ruby Rod is one of the greatest characters ever. Such a great movie.
This is one of my favorite movies. You made it more enjoyable!
"I wanna know how long it is....
Im talking about her hair."
😂
Hate I missed this premiere. Going to be fun : )
Yep, already: I don't know why they don't find puppy summoning in ancient tombs either.
Interesting fact. Gary Oldman and Bruce Willis are only in the same scene for less than a second. Korban Dallas even uses Zorg's ship to escape.
🤎💛🧡💙❤One of my all-time favorite movies!!!
Tucker’s lips doing an LL Cool J impression.
This one holds a special place in my heart. It's silly as hell, but it's a great movie. Thanx for doing this one man! MULTI-PASS!!
J, I love it when you said there should be something good when people find stuff and it should say, "Here come the puppies." And Blank, duuuuuude, I love that you put J's photo on the swear word multipass cover-up and that it says Murder Whistle!!! Epic!
It come back at 29:55 And looked like you were rubbing bruce's back.
34:00 clip that! 🤣🤣🤣
My girl crush Milla Jovovich is in this!! I love all her movies..
Because this movie made JL reveal that he's a hopeless romantic, I hope one day he watches one of my favorite movies ever, the Robert Zemeckis film: Romancing the Stone 😍
Def on the list.
"Bram Stoker's Dracula" next Jloween? That's some great Gary Oldman work since J is a fan. Also a unique and crazy film.
I think we’re gonna set a record for STFU’s
Need to add "WTH is that"😂😂😂
You DO make me laugh. Thanks.
Here comes the puppys.....lol....
Straight up bad assery and just fun!
OMG!-OMG!-OMG!-OMG!-OMG!
4:35 I always thought that they were some sort of aliens in suits.
This is sort of a sci-fi/action type. Im still rolling at your comment about the ladys hair.LMAO. Hey I got one to Suggest . A War movie ""PATTON 1970"" Historically accurate about most famous General WW2
The priest was Luke Perry
No. neither priest was Luke Perry. Luke Perry was Billy the intern drawing the glyphs.
Dude I spent all night in a power outage laughing my nuts off at your reactions, appreciate it, keep the reactions coming
Wish I could give this 20 thumbs up.. great reaction!
prince WAS considered for Ruby Rhod... Diva Plavalaguna, Maïwenn, was Luc Besson's partner and he left her for Milla Jovocich... Maïwenn was also I Leon and is one of the most beautiful woman to ever live
It's funny you saying Ruby Rhod (Chris tucker) is the "Prince" of the future, because Prince was actually offered the part, but he turned it down.
Chris Tucker, the original streamer 😂
They got a McDonalds in the future. I bet their ice cream machine is still broke.😂😂😂😂😂😂
I heard Vin Diesel is the voice of Finger, Corbin's taxi boss.
So.... you recognize the Priest because he was Bilbo Baggins :)
It's nice that Chris Tucker got to play a role that's so completely different from how he is normally.
Lol he does look like Ron Harper. Lol
Every instance of "what's wrong with him" or "what's he/she/they wearing" can be explained with the author-director being French 😅
for a split second it looked like you were rubbing bruce willis' back right before he woke up! lmao!!!
Had to pause it, J! "They got a McDonald's in the future. I bet they ice cream machine still broke." Dying laughing, bro!
Hell is REAL. Repent of your sins and turn to God. He loves you. Believe in his Son Jesus and be saved. UA-cam: 30 Days Touring HELL
Chris Tucker's role makes sense when you realize that it was written for Prince. Prince told Chris about it and said he turned it down because he didn't like the wardrobe.. Chris responded by making fun of how Prince had his ass cheeks hanging out his pants.. LOL
I love how people complain about the character for being a bucket of stereotypes, but Prince was just critical of the wardrobe
@@samwallaceart288 Pretty on brand for the artist formally known as the artist formally known as Prince
It was a bit of good karma for Tucker, though - he played that character to a tee.
It was NOT meant for Prince, after all.
It was all Tucker, lol.
Tucker killed it, I'm glad he took it and Prince didn't
@joekane622 yo i heard that from who's line lol
Leeloo's fight sequence in sync w/ the diva's aria... def' one of my favorite/rewatchable movie scenes of all time 👍🔥♥️
31:49 dude, I was laughing my butt off right here. Your timing of petting the dog, it looked like you were rubbing Bruce’s back and woke him up. That was so awesome!
i just came to the comments to see if anyone else saw that! lol
I thought that too
Shit, I didn't see someone else had already pointed that out, lmfao 🤣🤣🤣
I saw the same thing!
i saw that lmao
How does this man not have 100K followers yet?
We're hopefully working on it. LoL
His live vids get well over 1000 people watching.. Which is great
This is forever ingrained in my mind as one of the best sci fi movies ever made. It's funny and action packed, has the right balance of thought provoking mythology and dumb fun, not one of the actors half asses it for a minute and the music could not be better. Fun fact, this was the first movie my father took me to see after he and my mom divorced.
I agree. This movie is severely underrated and has surely stood the test of time.
Great production!
It is VERY unique.
I don't think anything like it will ever be made again.
Agreed! It is an amazing film.
I can't believe how wrong so many got this film when it was released. Both Chris Tucker and Milla Jovovich were nominated for Golden Raspberry (or Razzie) awards as worst new star and worst supporting actress respectively. The Fifth Element was also nominated for "Stinkers Bad Movie Awards" for worst director, worst picture, worst supporting actress (Jovovich) and worst supporting actor (Tucker).
What movie were they watching? Instant classic!
Strangely, it actually won six awards including two different best director awards. Weird that opinions in the critique world were so different. I guess some people just didn't get it.
"Chris Tucker being Chris Tucker"
Honestly that's probably the most accurate description you can make for Chris Tucker 😄
This is one of those movies that if I find it while flipping channels, I have to stop and watch it. And I still say "chicken good" at the grocery store. Excellent script and perfectly cast, and I especially liked your recap at the end 🔥🌍🌪💧❤
Anywhere for me... Especially putting it in the microwave, at home or at work. It’s just natural. 😂
"Hey man! He got a snuffleufagus!"
They way he said that without hesitation made me spit take my drink 😂😂
[20:17]
I've said it before, Gary Oldman can literally play any character.
Prayers To Bruce Willis Due To His Illness
Prayers don't do shit!
This movie would never been this good without Tucker. That character was everything.
It must *POP POP POP*
The man is a human exclamation point.
Super Green 👌
@@NearEastMugwump Oh my God, that’s a perfect way to describe him.
Originally it was meant to be prince, and while I know prince was an amazing person I can't imagine anyone other than tucker as ruby.
"They got a f***ing McDonald's in the future... I bet that ice cream machine still broke."
Dayum. That cut deep
One of my favorite Ruby Rhod moments -What's wrong with you? What you screamin' for? Every 5 minutes there's somethin', a bomb or somethin'. I'm leavin'. bzzzz.
"Are you classified as human?"
"Negative, I am a meat popsicle."
Fun Fact: The wonder on Bruce Willis' face when the Diva (Maïwenn) sings is real. That was the first time he'd heard it and seen the actress in full make-up.
Big Bada Boom Fact: The explosion in the Fhloston main hall was the largest indoor explosion ever filmed. The resulting fire almost went beyond control. It took twenty-five minutes to put out.
Lost In Translation Fact: The "Divine Language" spoken by Leeloo, was invented by co-writer and director Luc Besson and further refined by Milla Jovovich, who had little trouble learning and developing it, as she was already fluent in four languages. The language had only four hundred words. He and Milla Jovovich held conversations, and wrote letters to each other in the language as practice. By the end of filming, they were able to have full conversations in this language.
Bad Timing Fact: The hero, Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis), and the villain, Jean Baptiste Emanuel Zorg (Gray Oldman), never meet, nor do they communicate with each other in any way. They are aware of each other (Korben used to work for Zorg's company and Zorg knows that Korben won the contest) but they are unaware of the other's involvement in the main plot (getting the stones). The only time they appear in the same scene together is at the end when Korben flees towards Fhloston's hotel's hangar while Zorg is just returning from it. They pass but just miss one another putting them in the same shot together for just a few frames.
Music Enthusiast Fact: Diva Plavalaguna (Maïwenn) sings the "Il dolce suono" aria from the opera, Lucia de Lammermoor. It is one of the most difficult arias because of its length, its soaring arpeggios, and the high F above high C. When composer Éric Serra showed soprano Inva Mula (who dubs the voice of the Diva) the sheet music for the Diva Dance, she reportedly smiled and relayed to him that some of the notes written were not humanly possible to achieve, because the human voice cannot change notes that fast. Hence, she performed the notes in isolation, one by one, as opposed to consecutively singing them all together, and they digitized the notes to fit the music. There are a few moments when you can hear the differences in the vocal tones of the Diva's voice.
So happy someone else knows this movie like I do this movie is so good man definitely a underrated cult classic.
@Gradyolson YUP IMDb IS great. SO is being MULTILINGUAL THAT'S actually the proper terminology for someone who speaks four languages NOT "already fluent in" ok? There's TRILINGUAL which is 3 as my parents and both grandparents were AND actually one of my SIL's also is. Then there's MULTILINGUAL, which is strictly for us four people. After that comes the Polyglots which are 5 or more languages, and they're like maybe 3 or 4% of the population is fluent. I was semi fluent in four AS A KID, then when I went to school I had to default back mostly to English. That was actually the LAST language I was introduced to but it was ALWAYS English first here for some reason. Which NEVER then OR to this day has ever made sense to me. #Taino #Mohawk #NYGXBIKERLady
@@christinegelabert1651 umm... Are you okay? What did I say in my comment to op that triggered this rant?
If you're multilingual, you are "fluent in". Same difference
@@Gradyolson I think they replied to you instead of the OP. It's still a strange thing to focus on. haha
Love Gary Oldman. He can be ANYONE!
Notice that the Priest is Bilbo Baggins? 🙂
I recognized the priest first as the evil milk-sweating robot in "Alien"
@@TheNeonRabbit
Chariots of Fire Coach?
Two words that entered my vocabulary when I saw this movie: "multipass", and "bigbaddaboom". She is so cute in this movie :) Popcorn on standby!
So funny Jay used the multipass as his censor thingy 😄
@@RocketJr. Blank is picking some amazing items for the censor :)
This movie is wacky and wild in all the best ways possible.
Agreed but ower boys ears are going to melt once Chris Tucker shows up.
Chris Tucker is the best part of this already awesome movie. He kills me every time 😂
‘They got a McDonald’s in the future. I bet their ice cream machine is still broke!’
"Oh, he's a Harvey. Hello, Mr. Weinstein." 🤣🤣🤣
When the first four elephants can't get the job done, that's when they call... The Fifth Elephant!
True 🐘🐘🐘🐘 🐘
that would b a good parody kids movie in animation imo
Wait, does the EOM heart reaction mean our guy is familiar with Discworld?
Dude your energy is contagious. Glad you reacted to this wonderful film! The Fifth Element was heavily inspired by the French comic series "Valérian and Laureline". He made a movie based upon those comics several years ago: "Valerian and the City of a Thousand Plants". While not nearly as charming as this one, Valerian is still far better than most Hollywood films.
The only movie ever that I have seen more than once in the theater. It's quirky, silly, funny, action packed, and it has the gorgeous Milla in it.
One thing that really works about this movie is how _every_ character represents a distinct role in society. It doesn't fall into the trap of having every character be a general "gun-slinging agents" type, but instead every character has a distinct input and POV coming into it, helping it feel like a complete satisfying slice out of this world even though it's not a particularly long or complex movie.
_Star Trek's_ great, but to me there's something really cool about how "An unemployed veteran, a priest, a celebrity podcaster, and a prestige opera singer walk into a bar" is what it takes to kill Satan
Actually, it literally just occurred to me Corbyn (pilot), Plava Laguna (siren), Ruby (raucous entertainer), and Cornelius (keeper of tombs) correlate to the 4 elements and (with the exception of the priest) are dressed in the same colors as their corresponding elemental-beam
McDonalds in the future?? I bet the ice cream machine is still broken.. 😂😂😂
They DID zap her haha. That’s why she was freaking out in the tube. She got resuscitated.
"They've got McDonald's in the future. Bet their ice cream machines are still broken."
That made me laugh so hard.
Chris Tucker plays an amazing part in this
Loved the Mcds ice cream machine comment lol
Probably one of the most paused films in our childhood 😂😂
A "here comes the puppies" tomb would be epic. Lol
I'm glad you watched this, it's among one of my favorite movies. It's quite unique in concept and style as far as I know and the twist on so many existing objects is amazing. Very cool that you thought of Prince when you saw Chris' character since that's basically the person they had in mind for it so I guess they did good!
“They shot the diva!”
“And she fell, just like a diva”
My favorite line from you during this reaction. I love watching you. You have gotten me through some pretty tough times. Thank you! ❤
You were telling them to zap her! Why? She was gasping for air and scared shitless... Gasping, because her lungs were new and never been used. And scared, because the last thing she remembered was her ship being blown up and dieing.
"Are you German?" God I love this movie, superb casting, amazing sets and costumes, plenty of action, hysterical comedy, a satisfying villain, and a simple story that you didn't need a computer to track.
1000 likes for that Captain Planet reference!
"I ain't cultured but I got taste". JL in a nutshell. 💯
Jean Paul Gaultier the French runway model (strange) fashion designer did all the costumes...
so that's why everything worn looked like that, especially Ruby Rhod.
also one of my favorite lines in this is Ruby: "Why I gotta get the broke one" .... (I say this all the time)
If there was say only 10-15 movies i had to choose to watch over and over again. This would be on my list. I love this film.
