The animal in the riot room was a hedgehog! They are common all over Great Britain apart from inner cities. One bit of trivia: the old man who was in the NWA complaining about the living statue and who shot Ed at the end, was British actor Edward Woodward, who was the original 'Equalizer' in the 1980s tv series, about a vigilante ex-secret agent who helped people out when they couldn't get enough help from law enforcement. Denzel Washington's 'Equalizer' is based on the same character, even keeping the same name of Robert McCall.
The ketchup in the eye reaction had me laughing but what made me really laugh was when the Swan attacked the sergeant and you said "what's wrong with him"😂😂😂
Also, look into Paddy Considine's work (that's the Andy with the mustache he knows he has lol). Dead Man's Shoes is one of his best performances and Tyrannosaur is his feature directorial debut, and they're both masterpieces.

Interesting... haha I loved this movie. Easily my favorite Simon Pegg movie. I could probably watch it over and over again. Yarp!
Nah it wasn’t that I was against him forcing any laws I was speaking more of his determination to force even the tiniest of laws when everyone else telling him it’s not that serious.
The play was based on the 1996 Leonardo Dicaprio movie Romeo and Juliet, which was an updated version set in today time. But they kept the Shakespearean speech 😅.
Another fun fact: The guy with all the surveillance cameras is no other than Edward Woodward, who starred in The Wicker Man, which this movie parodies.
This movie will still be funny 60 years from now. It's just so well put together. There's so many little moments that just kill me. And I love that it's a play on action films, hence all the references throughout. Longtime fans of Wright's will notice some of the original SPACED cast peppered in. Something he does often in his films. He likes to use lots of the same actors in his films. That shows he's most likely a good friend because he takes care of his people, in front of and behind the camera. The man is a class act. I wish Pegg and Frost teamed up more often. They're chemistry is unmistakable. They're a modern day Laurel and Hardy. I could go on and on about this film. It's awesome, team EOM is awesome. Keep it going guys!

Awesome reaction J Man 🙌! Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are like the British version of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly (but with a little more seriousness in the diet). Both of them are classic duos.
This is one of those movies that you need to watch a couple of times to pick up all the nuances and extra details. Like the short cut was in the Shaun of the dead movie as well. Thank you for viewing another great film , you and the co-pilots are why I keep coming back for more. Thank you!!!!!
That creature in the riot room - that is a hedgehog. As you may notice, they aren't blue, nor do they move at lightning speed. They DO however explode into gold rings when they get run over. They come into gardens at night and snuffle around munching on slugs and worms. They aren't particularly scared of humans and will come up to you and sniff around you. When scared, they curl into a ball and use their spikes for defence. They can be uncomfortable to pick up or hold but are otherwise harmless and a joy to see snuffling around saving cabbages from being eaten by slugs.
I second that! You must be familiar with various sci-fi movies to get some of the jokes and scenes, but it is worth it. (Hey JL have you seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? You should watch it if you haven't. It is classic Spielberg!)
Honestly that "What year? Every year" joke is underappreciated 😂 7:52 that my friend is a Hedgehog, a cool wee spiny mammal that rolls into a ball when threatened. Unfortunately, unlike rats they are becomming more uncommon to see outside being squashed in the road.

"They did not have guns in Romeo and Juliet!" Alright, JL's gotta watch the adaptation with Leo. And Maybe Coriolanus too. Lets dip his toe in some thespian water.
Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the movie versions of that play that is most honest to the actual script. Almost nothing cut out, nothing altered; it takes place in the 90s. The weapons they use are the sword series Taurus line, it's so cool, 10/10. Sorry, the part with the play came on and when you said "They didn't have-!" my brain just automatically "AKSHUALLY".

Denzel Washington's 'Equalizer' is based on the same character, even keeping the same name of Robert McCall.
😂😂 ❤ The fence scene is a direct "shaun of the dead" reference except he nailed it in hot fuzz i laughed ssssoooooo hard when scene happened
The lady who he brake up with was played by Cate Blanchett. :) :)
J putting 2 and 2 together with the mom and sister comment killed me
what i love about this movie the more you watch it the more you pick up on some things you miss and the movie is just amazing to rewatch
Ooh. I'll have to check those out. I love Paddy Considine. He's so cute.
THIS REACTION ... was absolutely everything!
I would NOT have stopped for the swan and the police chief would've gotten away, lol. There ARE birds I'd have stopped for, even if I didn't put them in the car, but ... swans ain't a single one of them. Mean as hell and vicious. Think about it: A SWAN STOPPED AN EXPERIENCED SERIAL-KILLER COP.
'Nuff said.
I kinda want to see a "Hot Fuzz 2: Twenty Years Later" and I DEFINITELY want to see your reaction to it. I also want a sea-mine. For reasons 😁
He deserve all the points for guessing some of the killers. Hilarious watching you react to this movie. The best of the trilogy, IMO.
Most rational folks know it's the best haha ✌️
I love how you seemed to be against him enforcing any laws like underage drinking, drinking and driving, or speeding but when it comes to an unarmed person throwing him around a bit you tell him to just shoot him to death. Interesting... haha
I loved this movie. Easily my favorite Simon Pegg movie. I could probably watch it over and over again. Yarp!
Nah it wasn’t that I was against him forcing any laws I was speaking more of his determination to force even the tiniest of laws when everyone else telling him it’s not that serious.
Fun fact skinner is actually played BY Timothy Dalton Aka james bond from 1987-1989 for two movies! ❤
Best line is the preacher screaming Jesus Christ after getting shot. Great stuff guys! Reaction and Editing.
That scene makes me chuckle everytime I see it 😂
The play was based on the 1996 Leonardo Dicaprio movie Romeo and Juliet, which was an updated version set in today time. But they kept the Shakespearean speech 😅.
If you've seen House Of The Dragon, the actor playing Andy Wainwright, the one with the thick moustache, also plays King Viserys.
Another fun fact: The guy with all the surveillance cameras is no other than Edward Woodward, who starred in The Wicker Man, which this movie parodies.
He also played the original Equalizer on CBS back in the 1980’s
Oh God no! Are his last words in both films.
😂 great reaction. I live around 30 miles from Wells, where it was filmed 😊 would love to see your reaction to The full monty !!! 😂🙏
19:47 "SHUDDUPP" 🤣best one yet
The big guy was the Hound in Game of Thrones btw.
THE QUACK ATTACK IS BACK JACK!
lol 😆
love tha shirt!!
J, that was a finely timed Hadouken. I’m glad you got the chance to see this movie, it’s a classic. Excellent reaction and editing. It was excellent seeing J become more dumbfounded as the movie went on, just like my first time seeing this in the theatre. God bless you guys with excellence.
We didn't even get an "EUUUUUUGH!" at the head-splatter scene, just sheer shock and dissociation lol
You're going to need a big box of tissues for this one - to wipe away the tears of laughter. You do not want to miss a single moment :D
This is your first reaction video I've seen - and I had an absolute blast watching this with you, I laughed uproariously several times - I'm so glad you enjoyed this film, it's a gem.
Looking forward to checking out your backlist of reactions!
Welcome to the family!
I started watching your videos about a week ago and now I can't stop. Very entertaining. I would love if you react to The Sixth Sense starring Bruce Willlis
The fork in the eye reaction had me crying laughing. 😂
"Did they arrest George Washington?" LMAO 🤣
One of THE GREATEST comedies AND action films of the 21st century. No question.
This feels a little like "wicker man" i think they were inspired (a little) its pretty awesome
It's my favourite of the Cornetto trilogy. The death of Tim Messenger still disturbs me so i was waiting for your reaction to it😂
You should checkout the movie Paul, with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg. It is HILARIOUS!
I think I liked Paul better than this is the end
I second that! You must be familiar with various sci-fi movies to get some of the jokes and scenes, but it is worth it. (Hey JL have you seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind"? You should watch it if you haven't. It is classic Spielberg!)
Yes it was Professor Slughorn.
Your reactions just gets better and better. This has become one of my favorite UA-cam channels
Honestly that "What year? Every year" joke is underappreciated 😂
7:52 that my friend is a Hedgehog, a cool wee spiny mammal that rolls into a ball when threatened. Unfortunately, unlike rats they are becomming more uncommon to see outside being squashed in the road.
Bro I'm so hype you're watching this, this movie is firmly in my top 5 films.
I love you nodded along with their comment about the annoying laugh, like "shit, I get that one at least." Lmao
I live near the town where this was filmed. The strong local accent that has to be translated is pretty accurate. It took me almost 3 months to understand what my neighbour was talking about, as i had to tune into the accent when i moved into the area😂.
18:29 British bake beans are different from what we have in the States. I haven't had them but I know beans on toast is a staple of every college kids diet.
"Imma fck old people up" -Jay 2023
You would love the movie paul. It has Simon pegg and nick frost in it. With Seth Rogan as the voice as paul. So funny 😆
That creature is a hedgehog, that's what Sonic looks like in real life ;) The movie has some interesting cameos, the stabbing santa is Peter Jackson, the director of Lord of the Rings-movies, the girlfriend that breaks up is Cate Blanchett and the guy she was seeing is this movie's director Edgar Wright.
You should definitely watch Point Break (the original, not the crappy remake that nobody remembers about)
Google a photo of a "Full English Breakfast".......they also eat "Beans on Toast"
Just don't Google a photo of spotted dick
@@oaf-77 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
In America we had shit on a shingle, kind of similar. Some Americans grew up with it cause of WW2.
I definitely clocked your Mighty Ducks shirt lol. Love it.
"They did not have guns in Romeo and Juliet!"
Alright, JL's gotta watch the adaptation with Leo. And Maybe Coriolanus too. Lets dip his toe in some thespian water.
"Thespian? That's illegal in 11 states." #Rango
You should watch the World’s End! It’s the end of the cornetto trilogy and it’s amazing too!
Your reaction to the priest getting shot was gold 😂 keep up the good work 👍
@7:52 wait....America doesn't have hedgehogs? Mind blown.
Yarp…..
still one of my favorite performances by the hound lol
I think standard police cars in the UK can go up to 155mph, but they have some that can go even faster if needed.
