I don’t think it has to do with that. The tactical lever-gun has exploded, the is free real-estate.
I think people just got bored with modern guns. Nearly nothing has changed in 15 years. Plus there's an entire "new old" culture happening. Barn homes, Ford broncos, tactical lever guns etc
It's just another cycle, the last big one was PCCs being the hottest thing for almost a decade. Leverguns have been slowly coming back for the past few years, just this years' SHOT was where they really exploded.
Red Dead Redemption coming out a few years ago blew up interest in lever guns. Now everyone that bought one wants a tacticool version.

I got my set today. The butt stock is an easy swap but I'm not sure how the forend works and there are no instructions.

I’ve asked them that every year at shot show for probably 7 years straight. Finally talked to someone this last January who actually knew about the project. They basically are keeping that project in their back pocket. I’ve desperately needed one of those since they announced it. They won’t sell their patent or give me blueprints so I can make my own.
@@seanterry5411 IMO it would be the best gun. I think SBR 5.56 bullpups are the ultimate gun type, and this one is the best looking one I've seen..

Not made for Henry rifles, buttstock ammo carrier not available for 357 and 44mag, Magpul really dropped the ball on this one.
