Boon Hock, if you happen to read this. I just want you to know that as a fellow Singaporean, I am cheering you on. I hope the best for your family and you are a good son. I too was bullied in secondary school and my father aswell lost his income due to kidney failure. He passed away a few years ago. Although times may be very tough, somehow we still get though it. Your parent's love for each other is beautiful. Keep strong.

They raised one very sweet, caring hard working young man. More family's should have that bond, to stick together and help each other out. His mom is so sweet and has a heart of gold.
I love the family. The son, he survived by his ambition of education. Mom and dad are very firendly and never be fear the fortune.
I hope the guy with a kind hearted neightbor who's helping and supporting the family will still continue to guide Boon and inspire people

Are u singaporean? Because u dont seem to be aware of the various assistance schemes available for the poor? Esp if u live in rental flats and is of low income, I heard they do get quite a decent sum of assistance off their rentals and daily expenses like free healthcare!

It's good Friday today. My tears roll down as I happen to see this on UA-cam. May God'love reach this family. They deserve divine intervention and be helped by God. Already the kind neighbour 's mother is a blessing to the family and so is the son. The male character is still positive inspite of his challenges in life. He deserves recognition for his tenacity and positive spirit!
My God...why there are a lot of kids that are so cruel to other kids whenerver they feel they are diif. I really want all parents to wake uo, take time to educate our children to become a good person, be humble, love others...then the earth will become a better world to stay for us together. I really want to do something that can rise awareness for this situation in the world...

I think the stressful pace of academics have rly got to the kids sometimes and without knowing/finding a proper coping mechanism, they resort to bullying to vent out their frustrations. Coupled with the fact that nowadays almost all families have both working parents so lack of parental supervision.... *Just my two cents worth of opinion from a 20+ yr old*

What a beautiful family. They have faced so many challenges and obstacles and learned to overcome them. Their neighbour Leslie and his Mom is so caring as well. Always making sure they are okay and helped with their finances. How beautiful is that! One day when their son Boon Hock will be alone when his parents are gone, you can tell the neighbour Leslie will be there for him always.
