0:55 Loafers
Tassel loafer in a suede olive green is quite casual. It is wonderful to wear and combine with seersucker or cotton chinos. You can also get a tan loafer, something in brown, it is a little more classic. You could also go for penny loafers which are very versatile especially during the summer. It can also look great to have spectators in two tone colors or different materials such as suede and box calf.
1:48 Chukka Boots
Invest in is a pair of chukka boots that is unlined which is typical for spring. It is soft. It is slightly above your ankle but it's just a very cool look.
2:15 Shoelaces
It's a very small investment, but nothing changes the look of a pair of shoes as dramatically as just different color shoelaces.
3:00 Polo Shirt
Chance are you already have a white, a navy and a gray polo shirt in your wardrobe. And while those are versatile, if you want to spice it up a little bit, go with something that is vibrant.

Invest in a spring sport coat that can also be worn during summer time.

A wardrobe staple for men because it can be worn to the office or dressed down and worn casually with a pair of boat shoes and a polo shirt.

Use colorful socks. Colorful two-toned socks can easily be paired because of the two different colors. But they are not over the top and too strong that you just stand out

All woven belt with Richard yarns either all leather or mixed with cotton yarns is very elegant yet casual. The other casual belts to look into are fabric belts.
5:58 Neck Ties or Bow Ties
Because it is spring, you want something that's more vibrant that is louder and has a cool contrast with the rest of your outfit.

I really love it for spring time because it is open and airy. It has a crisp touch and air allows the air to flow through so you don't over heat.

It's perfect for colder climates. It's also great for travel especially in darker colors such as black or navy, otherwise go with a traditional khaki color.

If you don't want to wear a trench coat, go for Harrington jacket because it is also light weight and sometimes they come in reversible options.

You see the nice beautiful flowers outside, sometimes you can just grab one and put it in your lapel and it looks awesome. The problem is, you rarely find those flowers, you don't want to steal them from someone. Often they wilt and sometimes the pollen even stains your clothes.

No matter what kind of watch you have, adding a fabric strap, just like a NATO watch will instantly transform it into a more casual looking spring-summer watch

I would like to suggest the option of an unlined suede derby shoe instead of suede chukka boots. That's what I went for and get more use of them because they are an alternative to boat shoes, that i personally dislike, and unlike the chukka boots, can be worn with shorts and no show socks.

One of my favourite summer outfits: Black shoes (slightly casual) khaki pants, a black belt, a white guayabera, a wristwatch with a black leather strap and for the other arm a bracelet with a slightly ethnic touch. I'm hoping to acquite a Panama hat to go with it. This outfit always makes me feel like a plantation owner or a cattle baron somewhere in Latin-America.

I just came across this great channel and subscribed the soon as I watched your tweed video. I had finally decided that since I'm now coming up for 19 years old, and having always been wearing casual sports clothes (Even though I'm far from a sports guy), that I should maybe do myself up a wee bit. Since I'm Scottish, I decided that harris tweed shall be my go to type of fabric for a suit (Now I just need to buy one and find exuses to somehow wear it). I have one suggestion for a video. How about a video on the best type of braces? I'm assuming that you're not a brace guy from your videos, but a lot of men prefer wearing them compared to belts, plus they look good.

Oh but he is a fan of braces. I'm sure you have watched his videos on White Tie and Black Tie by now, where braces are the only acceptable option. But Raphael also favours braces with most of his suit emsembles also; especially three piece suits because waist coats look terrible with a belt, creating a gap at waistline. Whereas a pair of braces (combined with high-waisted trousers) creates a smooth transition between the end of the waistcoat and the trouser front. He does tend to wear belts with spring or summer casual outfits, because they suit the more relaxed, and casual theme of summer

You can be smart with lower price
you dont need to be rich. Keep wearing what you have for now. Save some money and buy what you need. Create a gardobe but dont forget, never waste your money.

My spring is trench coat, chelsea boots and umbrella.
What kind of suede would you recommend for summer shoes? The "fluffier" full grain type, or "tighter" split suede, like repello suede? Both in terms of looks and thermal comfort.

I never thought of buying a suede shoes. I know they are more sensitive but do they last long if you I got a good quality shoes?
Yes, the last decent suede I bought to wear on my feet at work and walking lasted me more than 5 years and stayed comfortable the whole time. Make sure the leather itself is thick enough to give shape and take wear while resisting scuffs and tears.

I've actually read that article, and several other articles on your blog that mention or touch on Spectators such as www.gentlemansgazette.com/brogues-shoe-guide-men/, www.gentlemansgazette.com/harry-s-truman-shoe-collection/, www.gentlemansgazette.com/loafer-guide-penny-gucci-tassels-weejuns/ (which kinda contradicts the article you linked to as spectator loafers are not full-brogues and www.gentlemansgazette.com/duke-of-windsor-clothes-how-to/.
I would really appreciate it if you turned your guide into a video, because I retain information I hear a lot easier than the information I read, though the subject matter isn't exactly that complicated. I have yet to find a thorough video on Spectators any of the UA-cam style channels I follow, and given how many videos you mention them in, and that you already made the guide that the Gentleman's Gazette would be the best candidate to put out a video on the subject.

Um... so... I work in a grocery store... And we have to wear sneakers and our company polos (which are bright red). And we can wear jeans or black slacks... So I'm a bit limited in what I can do, but uh, any ideas on how to apply all these tips to my situation? Or is this the wrong channel for someone like me?
Some quality black slacks probably chinos are always acceptable at work like you described and are very comfortable outside of work while looking great in the winter and in the colder northern locations. I am guessing you also need black shoes so investing in a long lasting comfortable pair will have your back thanking you as well as looking great with the pants.

👎🏻 for DW. Fashion watches are a big DON'T. Anyways a good alternative to the bulky nato strap is awesome perlon straps. They can be open weaved too, are re-sizable and are more stylish, not like its militar brother the nato.

@3:20 "Skip floppy collars" in polo shirts; that advice tip cannot be stressed enough. Other youtube channels have recommended polo shirts from H&M, those are inexpensive, and have no logo to be seen, true, but I purchased a couple of those and very quickly realized their collars are awful, not only floppy but they get deformed all around, terrible ones. Would not recommend them
