    Hey Kirby, I'm very very pleased to announce that today my dad and I are going to get fitted for our first Bespoke garments! Meeting Joe himself with My Tailor at the Hilton in Concord CA. I want to take a moment to say thank you for this channel and all the products on your website. They have single handedly changed my entire quality of wardrobe and I always feel incredible when I put on my suits and shoes!! Today is special too because I get to share this bespoke dress shirt experience with my dad which i was inspired to invite him along and join in from your channel. Again thank you for opening up this world to me, cheers!

      @@MauricXe i had a shirt made. It was a great experience. Looking back i wish I would have picked some more premium fabric but even still the shirt fits great. Joe was awesome to work with. I intend to have a suit made at some point as well.

    Thankyou Kirby, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see this finished shirt. I have not seen collars like that for many many years, since I lived and worked in London in the 70`s and 80`s. So nice to see the younger generation carry forward and indeed enhance true Gentlemens style and panach. I am even more enthralled to see that it is an Englishman who you are spotlighting here, brilliant. Thankyou.

      It is impossible! At 110°F and 90+% humidity--- impossible. I love linen but you look like a shalumpadinka by midday. Both shirt and pants in linen, woven vamp shoes, it's still hot as hell out there. Just sipping iced tea makes one break out in a sweat! No thanks! Prefer the non-humid climes, only!

    Also, while it can be a signal of quality, it's risky to focus too much on the stitch density. I had a long chat with Wil about this last year. When the stitches are too dense, the fabric can be weakened too much. After all, stitches are formed of little holes in the fabric of the shirt. How much density can safely be achieved depends greatly on the type of fabric the shirt is made of.

In my opinion, if you like to achieve your goal to the highest level, you must include the prices and costs of the items, you show in your videos. I also appreciate that the prices and costs can be not very important for some men, but In my opinion, it is extremely important for all the wise men. Thank you.

  • @ianmedium
    @ianmedium 5 років тому

    The cuff finishing with the ruffles is a work of Art! Reminds me of the English late 18th Century early 19th century styles that the likes of my ancestor the poet Robert Browning would have worn. Likewise the collar The shirt fits you perfectly, it has enough room for a casual shirt but not so much to make it shapeless and that blue! It’s gorgeous Kirby. This in the fall would look stunning with a cognac coloured corduroy jacket and those stunning shoes and to make it even more casual a really well made dark rinse pair of jeans

    Is the buttonhole 2 thread corded or no cording? I like the snipped band of the collar wonderful shaping. What kind of cuff "placket" did the shirt have? I think I would have put a reverse hidden third button in the placket area to prevent gapping. I could not tell if there was one or not. Please show us the placket.

      As a person who’s worn linen (not from wil but that doesn’t matter) you’ll still be hot. It’s no miracle worker and you’ll be cold. But they’re no hotter than t shirts I find. Nothing noticeable. Also if you haven’t. Go buy fresco trousers. Cooler than a thick pair of shorts.

    It came as a surprise that you decided to go with a fused button down collar, as the classic button down collar is actually supposed to be unfused and unlined for that casual wrinkled asymmetric look that's missing on the majority of ready to wear button downs with fused lined collars. But to each his own.

    the collar looks fantastic, with that beautiful roll. but i do not think the shirt fits all that great. there is a lot of room in the body of the shirt. i don't mean to say that you should wear skinny-fitting clothes but i am sure the shirt can be much slimmer, especially around the waist area!

  • @cyberstud0074

    The arm cut is really nice. I bought a Gucci shirt black in color. It's slim and superb fit but the the only problem was with the arm area that didn't have a room and my shirt torn in 6 months. I went to Oxford street Selfridges Gucci and they said to goto Gucci store. I went to the Gucci store and they say call customer care. It's so time consuming the I got it fixed myself and again the shirt torn..
    Gucci really 👌. I had a work on it and only wear on some occasions.
    I would say Dolce Gabbana Slim /Gold fit has been nicer and lasted till date. The Gucci canvas belt also has some faults. The Gucci leather sneakers are good and lasted 3-4 years ( I wear them 10-15 times in a year).
