Honestly, very happy with the new zones for The War Within (especially Hallowfall), still conflicted on them announcing The War Within along with its following expansions.
That light thing in Hallowfall is NOT Sargeras' Sword. Devs already confirmed this btw. It's a crystal giving light and it can go dark! So it's not that crazy that it might be a Naaru.
I'm pretty sure they said that was a crystal lighting the underground zone. I could be misremembering. Can't wait either way. This game deserves to live on.
You're not misremembering. Developer Tina Wang recently said in a Wowhead interview: "Something that I've seen online is that some people think the crystal and the crystalline ceiling is the sword - and it's not. I just want to clarify that." That being said, I too hope that WoW will have a long and healthy future. 🤘
The funniest thing about it being the sword is that the real sword is in silithus while the crystal and new zone are in the middle of the ocean way underground lol very different locations
They say it's not the sword, because it's supposed to be a plot twist at the end of expansion. Of course it's the sword. Why do you thing those underground dwellers, that have been there for thousands of years, started troubling Azeroth only now? And, assuming that Azeroth is a round planet, who knows, that entrance in the middle of the ocean can be the opposite point of Silithus
It's actually the Light Crystal adventurers use to destroy The Box in season of discovery during the Void Armamanets quest chain, also Xalatah shows ups and teach us how to craft gear with the shard of the void
I think its awesome we're picking up the story *exactly* where Chris Metzen left off. Now I think people will go from saying "What sword" to "What expansions?" #Metzenverse
Metzen had nothing to do with this. He started working at Blizzard in September and stuff this big gets decided more than a year out. It probably won't be until late into next expansion or until 12.0 when any changes that Metzen makes start to show.
@@jacobshaw9820 Honestly, i wouldnt be surprised if they didnt have that much of this next expac done before metzen came in and changed course. You could kind of see how they were kind of wandering around storywise in dragonflight, not really commiting to anything big. This might be why WW is in another new area while the next 2 are in already explored ones, because they were going to do what they normally did and hope for the best until they actually got direction.
@@TimeyWimey. Blizzard doesn't randomly decide their next 8-10 years of content within a 2 month period just because Chris Metzen got re-hired. They are a billion dollar company. I would bet any amount of money that 11.0 was already in it's infancy before Dragonflight even launched.
@@jacobshaw9820 not saying it wasn't, just that the story and overall theme were likely still very early in development because of a lack in direction. The basic mechanics and zone type/ layout were probably near completion as they weren't story reliant. You also have to consider that shadowlands likely caused an upheaval in future expansions due to how major a failure it was. It wouldn't surprise me if the expac after dragonflight was initially supposed to be completely different from WW.
Anduin's reaction was probably perfect depiction of every single player that had to go through that damn expansion. And I bet with you that Chris Metzen knew that and wanted this to be a reminder how bad that actually was for all of us lol.
I liked Shadowlands a lot. Ya the first patch lasted for centuries due to COVID, but it was fun. Some stuff they did was definitely not casual friendly, but none of that was a roadblock at all for people pushing higher level content.
@@metzli5797 I liked the idea of Shadowlands, but I didn't like how lorewise nothing made any sense. And Torgast was fucking horrible in the beginning, wasting 40 minutes with a group to only wipe and lose all progress. I think I hated Torgast because of that with a pure passion, and I still do.
I started playing WOW in BFA and love playing retail. I love classic too. It helps that I don’t have 15 years plus of burnout that others probably have and I play pretty casually. I just can’t wait to explore and quest more. I just love being in the world haha.
Bfa is where I came back to wow only thing I hated was the loot roulette going into dragonflight with more deterministic gearing like of old that's my favourte thing they did I hated all the titanforging poop
Actually yes, when you didn't play to the same game for 15 years straight you will be more excited about new features and expansions. I mean, i started playing in cataclysm and then left because a i had no money, but since shadowlands i returned and played casually after work and i really love this game. And i played some classic too, but just lvling.
The crystal thing in Hollowfall is not the tip of Sargeras' sword. It's implied the people in that zone had been there for centuries, if not millenia. And that crystal was the thing that guided them there in visions or something. So it can't be Sargeras' sword because that would only have been there about...7 years.
Its not the sword but players are stupid and things like entire ecosystems evolving under its light doesnt stop them thinking its the sword because they dont understand that would be too big of a leap of logic.
I think the hero talents are intentionally tame and mostly visual from what i see because they dont want to hand players legion/bfa/sl tier abilities and then have to remove them in 12.0 for balance purposes. Id rather a talent that makes my bladestorm have a fire visual and burn enemies overtime that i keep for 5 expansions over something like bfa corruptions or neck essences or covenant powers that i get for 1 xpac.
I played Shadowlands, and the powerups I was getting in Torghast were not nearly as interesting or powerful (or even numerous) as rogue likes normally are. Reason why I bring it up is because Torghast was a padded room built specifically for class power to go crazy in and they still didn't. I have absolutely no expectation that we will ever see Legion-level powers again. Under any circumstances. I also continue to be surprised that they don't even allow environmental abilities. Occasionally a world quest will give you some kind of crazy weapon, but not since WoD have you just been allowed to have things like zone abilities and ridiculously powerful items out in the open world. Abilities, zone abilites, items, there's really no reason to hold back since the open world content is so easy already...
Yeah, I'm not jumping on the hype. Train of how good the expansion looks when no one has even played the same song-and-dance. On previous expansions that turned out terrible
Perfect summary - nailed it on Hero Talents. For that real subclass fantasy, hope they also add something like “ability skins” depending on chosen subclass (like what glyphs do but on a wider scale) eg. If you choose to be a San’layn, let’s give those players blood red eyes and reskin their abilities to be blood fx/colors.
Honestly the concern of Delves harming raids has already been a thing with Mythic+ and the system to turn gear into Tier gear overtime without ever touching raiding content. This is just another avenue to gear up. Hell most people raid in wow not for gear anymore but for AOTC/CE or a trinket that is super OP that isn't from Mythic +
I think it's great that the cinematic was so tame. It's represents the very beginning of a new story, which is where all the ass-kicking will - and should - take place. The audience knows this, that's the hook that gets them, or at least me, invested.
Agreed. It felt like a lot of people were upset and wanting the trailer to have more action. I feel like the following two cinematics will get progressively more epic and action packed as the story gets more and more to its climax
I can agree with that. I think it would have been better if it wasn't just anduin and green jesus standing and talking. If they were talking with the screen panning to things going on in azeroth and then at the end them walking to the sword it would have been much better. Was just pointing out I think in 8 years when you watch all 3 cinematics back to back to back they will flow from boring to balls out action packed with a natural flow as the story gets more crazy@@aliceberethart
*an expension is announced* UA-camrs : "The expension that will SAVE WoW" *expension is released* UA-camrs : "How Blizzard failed us and WoW is DOOMED"
12:00 Actually it is not the sword. They specifically called it a giant crystal that acts as a light source (which is now going crazy and sometimes goes out, unleashing all kids of chaos). You have to remember that this zone is supposed to be something that has been there for a long time, not just for a few years since Sargeras stuck the sword into Azeroth.
i'd be slapping you were around if were in person, just for making that comparison. also you're a whack job for treating a game like a wife, touch grass,
The moment I saw how warbands were going to work It was like switch went off in my brain. Suddenly now I'm thinking how every character I have would interact with the others like in DnD. Witch surprised me because I should've thought of this before but seeing with my eyes now has the story side of my brain buzzing and with all the quality of life it's going to bring I just can't wait.
I am the most excited for the Warbands. I'm hoping that now that your characters have a shared bank that will mean players won't need their own guilds just for the bank space and actual guilds can make a comeback. The Heroic abilites are going to be tricky. On one hand it's a neat aspect that will allow a bit more creativity for players but it will probably end up being yet another thing that people will gatekeep for meta purposes.
I'm hoping that warbands has a ui for all professions that you've levelled being able to be used by any of your chars. Say you log in on your rogue and he doesn't have enchanting or alchemy. I want him to be able to open shared professions and enchant all his gear and make himself a bunch of potions .
Anytime I hear someone complain about a CGI cinematic; I always think back to when they released the WotLK cinematic (I think it was gamescom?) online and everyone was losing it over how the cinematic was crap because it was the first time it wasn't just a montage of fight scenes. Said it was too slow, boring, not enough action etc... Now WotLK is one of the greatest cinematics they ever made and cherished by millions and billions lol But I thought TWW announcement cinematic was really good. I'm a man who's been through some shit and it made me tear up the couple times I've watched it. Metzen even prefaced it by saying the epic moments are often begun with the kinds of moments in the cinematic. It's not the actual expansion one. Hell, they made two different ones for dragonflight. I'd wager there's going to be more of those than we have previously seen. They really wanna finish the last 20 years with a bang. Looking forward to it.
I agree about the point on hero talents or whatever it is.. if you watch the 2005 blizzcon class panel, one of their focuses is having "concentrated coolness". This idea is what makes each class so unique in classic wow. Only hunters can feign death. Only rogues can pick pocket, lock pick, vanish, etc. Only mages can make portals around the world. I'd say instead of a bunch of small treants. Summoning a giant treat is even cooler. Like those big ass ones. Maybe not that big but you know. Or if you became one 💀
They need to have better written story lines and quests. Like in the Emerald Dream. While they have to protect the new world tree we're putting silly hats on sleeping druids, or having them bake cupcakes.
I think Delves are the best thing they could've possibly added. I understand people are worried in how it may compete with dungeons or raids, but I think people forget the easiest (and most probable way) that they are likely going to balance that, though time investment. If you're a Mythic+ grinder you probably will have a better time, fill out your vault faster, and have more fun doing Mythic+ and still get all the rewards you could expect. The way I'd balance Delves is simply by making them a significant time investment the same way raiding or mythic+ is, so if you want to dedicate your evening to multiple M+ runs or a raid, you can do that and be rewarded for it, and you won't have to "compete" with people doing Delves because they're spending their evenings doing that instead. I basically don't see it any different to how M+ and PvPers can gear up parallel to one another and no one complains there. I'm super stoked we have a more chill, immersive kind of world content to finally have real character progression in, and for people who don't wanna partake in it I'm hoping they won't be forced to. As for Raiding I don't think it will die, raids are still honestly some of the most fun, unique and high quality experiences in WoW and no other MMO compares to it IMO. As someone who dabbles in all kinds of content, ease of access to gear definitely won't stop me raiding, simply for the fact that raiding with your guild, seeing the content, pushing progression, it's fun! And I'm glad I can do solo content that awards gear to improve between raids because honestly, I hate M+ and I'm excited to maybe not feel obliged to do it anymore.
I completely agree with this. Great points. Maybe it's hard getting people together to raid or maybe you just want a day to relax by yourself but still make meaningful progress. The wife and I are super excited to have these coming. 🎉
Nah, it won't hurt the social element. If everybody can finally play the game however they want, we won't have incredibly toxic guilds anymore that try to pigeonhole you into being a hardcore player, while having no idea how that actually looks.
The community killed the social aspect of the game, not the developers IMO. Tired of seeing player asking for a unreasonable gearscore, link ahead of the curve, inspect armory. On classic, some guild require you to have an optimal profession (which often is engineering). The last time i enjoyed raiding was in legion. After that, the alternate power system you have to keep up with by login daily felt like a second job. I hope they do away with that.
@@saradelany395 No worry :) The feature Looking for Group (LFG) which teleport you into the dungeons in the last patch of Warth of The Lich King (Wotlk/TLK)
Yes you are, it was hype enough and Metzen CLEARLY said that it was a small heartfelt moment that will grow into an epic adventure, not like he warned us. And it's a crystal, probably naaru since it can turn into void, definetly not Sargeras's sword. Confirmed by Blizzard.
Having played WOW since beta and then stopping at the end of Pandaworld, it's been interesting watching the progress of the game, the expansions, comments, fanboi tears of misery and so on. Nothing has really made me want to come back to the game, but in all honesty this expansion looks pretty buff. What I *would* like to see is Classic WOW (with TBC and WOTLK) made free to play - that would be a huge marketing coup for Blizard, pulling in tons of new players who then go on to retail subscriptions. And if that happened, I would definitely get back into the game. Maybe there's a marketing exec at Blizz who isn't a money-grabbing wotsit and who can see the potential in that, who knows. Anyway, good video, thanks Nixx.
Delves definitely reminds me of the warlords expansion to some degree. I doubt if any gear you get from these will be anywhere near as powerful as you can get from raids or even 5 man dungeons....at least the heroic versions of 5 mans. Like you said the main pull of the game for a lot of us who have played forever is the social part of the game.
To be fair, the cinematic was more hype than Dragonflight's announcement cinematic. But it is disappointing to have two expansions back to back that dont have a real hype moment.
It does fit retail, though. All the main villains are gone, their plan is to set one up over the course of 3 expansions (I think?) for a better payoff, but given how sterile and bland the narrative has been since Mists I wouldn't expect much.
I haver a feeling personally, with seeing how alot of the main chars react to the opposing faction, So many want peace and are tired of fighting or that the story has led to so many times the two sides have had to pull together. It might eventually come to the player being able to pick their own faction to go to. Some thing of the sort
At this point in the development of every expansion, they say what they think players need to hear and hype stuff that, on release, will be very different from how it is currently being presented.
Blows my mind it still baits people and people like this channel are encouraging people to take that bait. I mean I guess it’s his job so there’s something in it for him
It's hard not to be skeptical about anything Blizzard says. All of these features seems cool, but it wouldn't be the first time Blizzard under delivered. Wait for the game to come out and keep your hype in check.
Yea I remember all this same shit said about dragonflight and look where we’re at now, one of the lamest stories ever told with some of the most unfun things to do (like seriously planting flower as a end game activity? Jesus…)
Yes, wow youtubers just want their viewership back. Even if the expansion only added a turd on a stick they would delude themselves thinking its gonna make everybody come back.
I remember the days before SL where everybody praised "Torghast" to be the holy grail...then before DF all praised Dragon riding the Same....and now i hear "delves" and cant Stop laughing 😂 . They, togehter with warbands will finally break the Last pillar on Wow MMO basement.
About delves, that's what i call evolution... You have to have meaningful activities to be done solo. Delves won't hurt guilds as long as they are like a personal extra-thing to do solo, no matter what gear they throw. For the casual that gives him the means to stay in game and do things in his own pace... while for hardcores it's just extra gear that may help you progress in the end... In general solo content works like this... It's not like Arena fanatics dropped team content for solo , even if practically you take the same gear. It's different content. Similarly, the point of a raid is to beat the boss in your prefer difficulty... challenge yourself and your team against it. Building the character - gear , is the mean to that progress (at least till you are fully equipped and even then you got personal records etc...). Also , there are many people that as they age they don't have the same time... and the game losses a bunch of them because they can't follow - keep up with the whole gearing process ... Now these people will have something to do and maybe since they won't miss a whole bunch of gear progression they may raid when they have some spare time... TLDR, no i don't think that Delves will hurt "team based content" , in the end they will help it grow because there will be less disparity in things like gear.
As someone who loves Dwarves but doesn't really like the Alliance, the Earthen are something I'm really happy about. Also, people are complaining saying "ugh more Dwarves", when there are 4 Elf races to choose from -_-.. Sure I get the people that want COMPLETEY NEW races, but having a new allied race of Dwarves that can be either Alliance or Horde is awesome!
Think Hero talent while should enhance your class in some way, should really be a more cosmetic thing more then anything. As a class skin, aligned to Warlocks green fire quest. Imagine giving Demo locks an undead skin and you have your necrommancer
I'm not buying it until I hear if it's actually good or not. Saved me a bunch of money in BFA and SL. DF is meh, but a step in the right direction and I did eventually get it when it was on sale.
Here's the good thing about the Hero Talents. Blizzard can tweak and edit the last 10 talents to make them fit into the current expansion - rather than completely transforming an entire talent tree / breaking a character and having to spend dev time to f**k up a class again. The bad thing is the ones we saw suggested were fairly boring - though they said these are just place-holders.
13:50 I agree. I stopped playing about 3 years ago. I watched "The War Within" teaser and thought it was a cutscene until I started diving deeper to find out the news of the saga.
I feel like the reason Warbands FINALLY got the OK, is that the other continent will be a 3rd "Faction" of sorts. Probably not a playable faction, but a long term faction that actually puts the might of 2 United Nation (essentially) working together, a challenge. I would absolutely take a 3rd faction with suddenly a ton of playable races though. But I think that'd be near impossible to justify to the players. And it'd make PVP BGs really weird
The Hero Talents is where they can stretch the trees in the future. For at least 20-30 levels possibly? Without changing the Core Class, you unlock these "Hero" classes (reminiscent to WC3) after you hit 71? That's good up to level 100 or 110 before they have to squish and reformat again from level 50 being cap.
THAT IS NOT A SWORD. Confirmed by all devs who was asked about it. It's crystal which changes color from light to void. So yes, there COULD be Naaru in it
Wow has been going in the right direction since 9.1.5 when they had a major philosophy switch. Since then the game has just gotten better and better. Dragon Flight is great and now we are heading into even more good times.
Talking about delves in terms of gearing, using raiding as a baseline it seems it will go delves cap at lower ilvl heroic level, mythic+ at high ilvl heroic, and pvp caps at low ilvl mythic
Completely agree with you on the Hero Talents take. They should go crazy with it! Give a capstone talent that is a 5 min crazy cooldown you pop once in the fight and feel like a frigging god! Keeper of the Give them the ability you mentioned. A Diablist Warlock? Make him use the frigging Rain of Chaos ability Archimonde did in Warcraft 3 summoning a horde of Infernals and Doomguards to completely demolish people. A Dark Ranger? Give them a cooldown that is a dark arrow infusing all your shots to shoot additional projectiles you can SEE made out of shadow and applying random debuffs or whatever. They should go completely balls to the wall with these.
I have to agree with Nixxiom that the cinematic, while beautiful, didnt hype me up for the expansion like previous cinematics like Battle for Azeroth for example. I want some HELL YEAH, LETS DO THIS! thing. But it still got me playing again and will totally be playing the expansion.
I really liked the trailer. Sure it wasn't at the same pacing of previous installments, but it was nice to see that. A more grim, somber and grounded tone. Left a lot of questions too which elicits intrigue.
I hope they take notes from all the feedback about class fantasy from the various classic server stuff. Unlock quests or small story lines related to each Hero talent would do a lot to sell the system even if the talents end up smaller changes.
I really hoped hero talents would be moreso class "skins" than just some damage improvements. We've seen borrowed power and new talents added for decades already, it's not much new or exciting, the part about it that IS exciting to me is actually being able to customize your class fantasy a bit. I think if they just leaned on it being the equivalent of "green fire" options but for all classes it'd be super popular even without power attached to it.
100% agree with this! Is it posible that after ten years, the tauren pala (a blasphemy in my head canon) shares the same spell skins of the human pala?
Brother, how TF did you not get chills with how much Anduin is reminiscent of Arthas.... I'm terrified that Anduin is going down a dark path. I just hope the players get to interact and save Anduin from Arthas's folly
Delves sound like Thorgast in a way, but actually single player is the main component- and it's absolutely marvelous for me. You see, I'm this type of player who LOVES soloing stuff and I'm in wow for the challenge aspect - currently mount farming for last 3 years, because most of my guild left and I'm all alone. And I'm really loving it and find nothing wrong with it
12:05 I actually thought this, but it was confirmed in a dev interview that the crystal sticking out of the Hallowfall zone celing is not the Sword of Sargeras
I hope WoW learned the lesson that MMO raiding is not very appealing to MMO players anymore. But then again, having experienced the islands... I'm not sure Delves can ever be anything major to do... Sounds really cool though! And.. the warband... I'm already expecting to see my old but kind of abandoned characters O.O
Thank you! everyone has been saying the trailer is great, the cinematic is great but it's not a cinematic trailer for the expansion. Look at bfa, they had the saurfang story cinematics ( this was more like this) but the bfa cinematic was different and got you hyped or the WoD trailer.. my god
Hear you on the cinematic not being an epic gung ho deal… but I think that was kind of the point. Metzen is back and they are leaning into the story more, which is nothing but good news.
They confirmed that wasn’t the sword lol. The teaser site has a brief description of the zones and it says it’s a crystal of Light that’s been there for centuries.
i dont get how so many people mistake the sword for the crystal when the sword isnt glowing in any way. people really not using their noggins these days.
It is weird that I have been playing this game for nearly half my life, it is part of me now, I buy the expacs whether I am planning on playing them or not (I know stupid) But even at 51 gaming is still my main hobby and warcraft represents my enduring love for gaming. Completly agree with your take on hero talents, they do seem a little tepid, but maybe that gives them room to grow over the expac or even trilogy of expacs, if they give us everything all at once where do they go with it from there?
I like the implication that Xal'atath might win and take over Azeroth. We all secretly wanted N'zoth to win so we'd get a dark shadow-corrupted world to explore, right? Midnight might be very similar to that idea. Personally the one I'm looking forward to most out of the three.
If they do it like: She win in first expan, in second you bring all together and in third you go and kill her, then you got rid of the void with fully wake Azeroth, that would be cool
Did you notice that the last titans logo is wrapped in the same prison that the iridikron and siblings were in same runes on the metal and everything. The sword was trying to break the prison
Dude, seeing this years BlizzCon and knowing that in "Midnight" we might get Quel'Thalas (I hope they don't mess this one up), really makes me wanna go next year :)) and I live in Hungary :)) so it's a pretty long journey... but most probably worth it xD
I don't think there's anything to worry about in regards to delves harming the social experience. For one thing, WoW has been becoming more and more singleplayer-friendly for years now (older dungeons becoming solo-able, easier re-speccing to switch off to DPS when your party isn't around to do it for you, activity finders that plunk you into content automatically instead of asking you to interact with other human beings, etc) and it's still a very intensely social game. The faction cities are still stuffed to the gills with people chatting, laughing, RPing, forming guilds, etc. All delves will do to that experience is give more players more options more of the time. And since they aren't instanced (at least AFAIK), it's not like it'll be a truly singleplayer experience anyway!
Speaking as a old school fan of the game I am already in my 30s and I have a full time job and a kid. I no longer the have time to socialize in WoW, join a guild and alter my schedule as per the guild needs so we can do raiding all night. Yes raiding is important part of this game but I believe Blizzard finally understood that their core fanbase is no longer kids and teenagers, we are grown ups with limited time to play the game but we still deserve a way to progress our chars on our own phase. I am so excited that we are finally getting such a feature. I was waiting for another horrific vision-like system since the end of BFA.
I would love to have another option to get raid level gear without having to raid. I'm unable to do raids because of the times & the amount of time needed to do it. Arena pvp is also an issue. So an alternative to both is very welcomed by me. P.s I now have a massive crush on Anduin.
As a very casual player over the years I'd like more solo content. I think the people that prefer going with others will prefer this over the solo content anyway. So to see they give us more options is very welcome.
I like the expansion on existing abilities with the new expansion hero talents, people already complain about too many buttons. Resto druids are already summoning alot of treants though you should see it in arena 😅
Biggest thing for Hero Talents is to REPLACE, abilities. Not just add to. Monk already has a problem with having way too many abilities that keybinds are bloated. So lets ensure they dont just add a bunch of abilities that are going to make the rotation ridiculous.
Tbh it felt like the cutscene they showed is something like the old warrior cutscenes for saurfang back in bfa so maybe we might get the bombastic trailers we usually get for trailers
As someone who has dealt with PTSD and depression, the cinematic really made me connect with Anduin on a level very few characters in World of Warcraft have so far. That’s probably just a unique for me thing, but I know that in video games stuff like this isn’t talked about as much as certain other genres, but I can actually say, for the first time since the character was introduced, that I can actually stand behind and support Anduin. Especially as an alliance player.

@2:30 when u were talking about predictability, then showed the ending 8.3 cinematic, it reminded me that we killed an old god in a single patch AND we knew it was gonna happen... OOF
I bet Delves will turn out to be boring. They are hyped up because they are somewhat new in WoW, but they can become as boring as Scenarios. For one, I don't want a stupid companion. I don't want to equip it, I don't want it to speak, I don't want to it to be mandatory as it was/is with these stupid moles in Dragonflight. I was tired of these chores. Delves do have a lot of potential to be good - but hey, how about we try it out before we declare it a "good" feature?
i think blizzard should add ultimate spells, which can only cast by consuming all your resource bar or some big condition. Would make for some interesting play and somewhat balanced
The most exciting thing is the hero talents which it gave me fear for what it means which keeper of the grove showed, somuch passives that don’t really change the gameplay, unnecessary numbers, if it was able to turn an warlock into an healing spec or an shaman into an tank spec that would’ve been awesome like the discovery of classic does (sofar I’ve seen atm) but if it’s just being oh you get small buffs then it would’ve been an huge meh for me. Also that they went from max lvl 80 now gives me the idea I used to that scaling will becoming another problem in the long term, is also the reason why I’m not touching the game is just the endless farming & then my gameplay being irrelevant when they add an new max cap or expansion, I just want my characters to get to this power that I can enjoy it without being overpowered or underpowered, I’ve farmed 3 characters in DF to 420 but then the lvl became 450 I just stopped playing wow.
Woah, woah, woah, now. Lets hold those horses and wait and see what happens first. You have NO IDEA if this is going to be the "savior" of WoW until it releases. I mean, I hear this EVERY expansion. "This is so good! It's a WoW Savior". Then the game is dead within a month to everybody but hardcore raiding guilds. It's a vicious cycle. Why do we have to jump to conclusions before we even see game play? I mean, we have a title to the next 3 expansions, and ideas of what they're going to do. Remember Path of the Titans, and Flying Combat? I remember those too. You do NOT know what's coming until you play the Beta, and the Alpha hasn't even been announced yet. Lets just wait and see, for the love of god! PLEASE, listen, pay attention to what actually happens, see how the game plays, THEN form your opinion. Anyone who automatically says sentences like this is a fool. Every expansion has been hyped as the "greatest thing ever" and then we were hit with garbage like WoD and BfA. I think youre misunderstanding what Delves are. Delves are sort of like mythic dungeons for casual players. The gear rewards that you obtain from doing them will not compete with raiding or mythic plus dungeons.
I’m personally excited for this new approach for wow, maybe it doesn’t “save” it to your expectations. But i know i will enjoy it for at least a portion of time and as long as people enjoy it that’s what matters. WOW isn’t meant to be perfect not complete your life, merely a hobby

Thats cool, they are breaking things down into sagas. Raiding and Rated battlegrounds take a lot of coordination. From my experience, only a small few see mythic and high-rated BG's. Only a few good men are chosen for that top-tier gameplay, unfortunately. I am not returning anytime soon.
So I'm thinking the Delves will be more like ESO's Delves just wondering if it will be phased out to just me & my party or be fully opened to the world waiting to see :) also would be nice if this works out if we can get Delves in older zones maybe for transmogs or something or he'll be super Kool to see them in starter zones just for fun.
I think people are overreacting to the early day access. It's the same price tag as the previous expansions that had epic editions and Baldurs gate III also had an early access period.
They definitely said that many times I don't know why people keep saying it's the sword
You're not misremembering. Developer Tina Wang recently said in a Wowhead interview: "Something that I've seen online is that some people think the crystal and the crystalline ceiling is the sword - and it's not. I just want to clarify that."
That being said, I too hope that WoW will have a long and healthy future. 🤘
It's a naaru crystal. Kinda hard for it to be Sargeras's sword when it's been there for hundreds of years.
Every streamer is getting it wrong somehow haha.

Now I think people will go from saying "What sword" to "What expansions?"
#Metzenverse
It really is amazing how noticeable the difference is between the War Within trailer/story and the last two we've gotten.

I started playing WOW in BFA and love playing retail. I love classic too. It helps that I don’t have 15 years plus of burnout that others probably have and I play pretty casually. I just can’t wait to explore and quest more. I just love being in the world haha.
BFA was my first expansion too! As someone who hasn't been in the game since 2004, I like seeing old players get excited again.
Bfa is where I came back to wow only thing I hated was the loot roulette going into dragonflight with more deterministic gearing like of old that's my favourte thing they did I hated all the titanforging poop
Shadowlands was my first expansion and I thought it was okay. Been enjoying Dragonflight a lot more.
Bfa was great, not the best but still good. As a player I apologize that you most likely played shadowlands after cause omg was that terrible T_T
Not just implied, confirmed that not sargeras sword
I'm not sure I'd use the word tame, but rather, measured and purposeful. I mostly agree with you.

A different menu screen? Thats somehow important?
Now WotLK is one of the greatest cinematics they ever made and cherished by millions and billions lol
But I thought TWW announcement cinematic was really good.
Hero Talents should be like "Destiny's Super Abilities" type of thing.
Haven’t played since Legion and am definitely coming back for this.
Same 👍
I think Delves are the best thing they could've possibly added.
I hope they do away with that.
thank you ! Finally someone said that... the community killed the social aspect of the game... perfectly said.
No need to hope, they already did away with that. You dont have any mandatory alternative power to grind in dragonflight. Its great!

Nixx still thinks a social element still exists in retail WoW..... oh thats so adorable...
I mean I guess it’s his job so there’s something in it for him
Actually, It's not Sargera's Sword It's a crystal that switches from Light to Void (KIND OF A NAARU).
Congrats on the PR!
For the record, you ripped that 405 deadlift. 455 in the bag

Agree with opinion on hero talents. The titles were hype but the mechanics need to bring the sauce to actually be impressive
Menu options and a new spell or two is not good enough.
Seeing Nixxom deadlift his PR was my fav part of the video good shit dude!!
I felt exactly the same way about the talents... I thought... melee balance druid.. now THAT would be badass!

I hope WoW learned the lesson that MMO raiding is not very appealing to MMO players anymore. But then again, having experienced the islands... I'm not sure Delves can ever be anything major to do... Sounds really cool though!

Every time I hear someone say "another dwarf?!" I think...and how many elves do we have now?

delves i will not be excited for until we see launch we all learned that with garrisons and torghast
P.s I now have a massive crush on Anduin.
tbh i only do raids to see what the story is fight is like
the gear was always just something i hated grinding the raids for
As a very casual player over the years I'd like more solo content. I think the people that prefer going with others will prefer this over the solo content anyway. So to see they give us more options is very welcome.
Play a single player game then
@@grilledleeks6514 Smartass.
Why playing a mmorpg then? xD
Nixxiom casually dropping a 4 plate deadlift pr. in the intro, didn't know you lifted like that, nice bro :D
Might be time to get back into WoW!
I bet you wear a face mask in your own home.

Delves definitely taken from open world events in Guild Wars 2 and I am HERE for it 😍
i think blizzard should add ultimate spells, which can only cast by consuming all your resource bar or some big condition. Would make for some interesting play and somewhat balanced
Hopefully, alongside introducing Delves, they make Raids a bit more accessible for players who aren't already a part of a raiding community.
Im Hyped for Midnight because i really Like the Voidelfes and i Hope that they will be in the Expansion
12:28, no, that's not his sword - They literally confirmed while talking about the area that it's a light crystal.
Chris Metzen presentation is why I subbed. I havent played legion and only played that 6 months. Im optimistic enough to give them some money
100% agree on hero talents. Cool idea but needs to be more heroic!
Those were "saviors" too, remember? Who knows, you might be hyping up absolute hot garbage. Or you could be completely right! However, I'd like to see it before I make such statements.
We don't have to wait, WOW is doing better than it ever has been. This is why everyone loves retail WOW
Wouldnt say everyone but it definitely does better than Shadowlands&BFA
Let's be real, clickbait is the way to go in this shitty youtube atmosphere.
@@everettjohnson9374better than ever? It has a fraction of the players that use to play. I use to know about 12 people in my friends circle that played. I’m the only one that plays anymore. 😂. What it use to be 16 million active subscribers now what is it half a million?
I get the delve, op gear concern you have. It makes sense. But as a new player who's only just about to hit max level on my first character, raiding isn't an option. Especially since I don't have good gear. Ii think delves will make it better for players like me to get into raids
I don't think bliz should be saving anything. Can't people just enjoy the changes instead if they are good and criticize them if they're bad and not scream "WoW is dead, never playing this game again!"?
@@ScarletL1onif only, most people are too empty, lazy and bored to do anything with their time but hate online because it’s easier than actually improving their lives, fkn plagues on society that only want to bring everyone and everything down to their pessimistic view
When you become a World of Warcraft Quest Giver in real life.... !
Im glad im not the only one who was "meh..." about the cinematic trailer. The Saurfang cinematics were longer and had more action... and those werent even Expansion Trailers!
I don't know.. all I heard was 1 Expansion for the price of 3.
I heard faster expansions, which means less downtime, thank god.
I think people are overreacting to the early day access. It's the same price tag as the previous expansions that had epic editions and Baldurs gate III also had an early access period. And early access is only controversial for about the first three days.
Why would you want to play a "Massively multiplayer" online game without the multiplayer?
@@justinanderson2631 i dont even care about 3 days. Its gonna be nearly unplayable anyways as usual when an Xpac launches. Only problem i see is with the crafting and auctionhouse bcs people can build quite easy monopolies
@@semiramisubw4864 I bet you it will be the same as Diablo 4.. Nothingburger content and just 1/4 of the story per "full game price".
