Hell yeah man, u just build my dream camera setup! I'll definitely need few years to grow up for that level (i'm just a beginner right now), but great to have visualization like this, thank you!)
Loving the rig 🔥🔥🔥. Check out the Nisi C5 matte box system. Has integrated VND and multiple options for additional filters Reason I mention is because VND’s can cast different tones and Nisi generates amazing neutral colors and has the ability of using the VND with the matte box seamlessly.
Great recommendation! I have a friend who has the Nisi system, and it’s near the top of my list for a matte box. I’m going to wait for the release on the Tilta Mirage Pro and then make my decision!
sick build man. how much weight is that thing though. it ain't for the weak that's for sure LOL. been looking to grab the Komodo X with that price drop
Very cool setup!! Did you have any issues with the matte box flag interfering with the LiDAR? It looks like it might be in the bottom part of the Lidar’s field of view…
Good question! The Lidar system is just high enough where the top flag can be raised to about 60 degrees with no interference. Although, when shooting indoors, I usually always remove the top flag from the matte box anyways.
I don’t normally use an onboard microphone. But if I need one, I can attach a shotgun microphone on top of the DJI Focus Pro Handle as it has mounting threads on top of it. Plug the mic into the camera via the Mid49 breakout box XLR inputs.

This was an absolute treat to watch. Great video and clean build!
Great video , THAT DZO LENS
The Arles lenses are amazing!
Great build! +1 for the Mid49 accessories. I did not know about the Kondor TC-1 caddy. Ordering that right away! Liked 👍 and subscribed ✅
Really appreciate it! Glad the video helped. Yes, Mid49 is SO good.
aye, that sale is tempting!
This is your sign to get one 😉
@@zeeshandhanani to be honest, more interested in that godox 1200bi sale
Great video! Love the music and the set design.
Hey man, nice build! Does that monitor control the Red like the Red monitor?
Yes it does! But, you do have to buy the license to control it separately.
@ How much is the license? Do I get it on Red’s site?
It’s $500 USD. You can buy it on SmallHD website or a retailer like B&H.
@@zeeshandhanani Thank you! Do you know by chance if does the 7” Cine Small HD work as well you just need the software? There’s a sale on B&H now.
Yes I believe it does. Just make sure you buy the correct license as SmallHD has different ones for each camera. Good luck!
Is this rig compatible with Godox lights?
No, it only works with Broncolor and Profoto lights.
Nope, only GVM.
What is better Pyxis or KX?
Great Video! How is your Smallhd ultra 7 in comparison with the Red monitor? Would it work with their RMI cable or you use sdi?
Thank you! I haven’t used the Red monitor so I can’t comment. I don’t believe the Ultra 7 works with the RMI cable. I’m using mine via SDI.
nice breakdown
Amazing Rig! Goaaalssss!!! Where I can find the “small rig riser plate” ? I serched everywhere and i can’t find it! Any other option?
Try searching Smallrig Baseplate 1674!
And how heavy is it all together that would interest me. Nice video!
It’s about 16 lbs total!
What's the process for offloading footage from memory card to PC like for Komodo/X, does the reader come with the camera itself?
RED sells a starter pack which includes memory cards, batteries and a reader. The body only package doesn’t include either.
This video cured my anxiety.
🤣
Nice build. Not planning to buy RED camera, but this looks slick.
Maybe I would steal these plates with feet for my FX6 build :D
FX6 is also such a great cam! Yeah, definitely go for it. I’m loving those wide Kessler plates!
sick build man. how much weight is that thing though. it ain't for the weak that's for sure LOL. been looking to grab the Komodo X with that price drop
Thank you 🙏🏽 I had a lot of fun building it! It’s about 17lbs!

Great thanks for letting me know! I think I’m going to try mounting it underneath but know this is an option to try as well…
You use a microphone too? How do you get the sound?
I don’t normally use an onboard microphone. But if I need one, I can attach a shotgun microphone on top of the DJI Focus Pro Handle as it has mounting threads on top of it. Plug the mic into the camera via the Mid49 breakout box XLR inputs.
Lost me at double Kessler. I had a similar Kessler plate but switched out to SmallRig wide baseplate w/Manfrotto mount with the same function.
Sounds like a great alternative. I’m glad you found something that works for you!
nice price now
if you put this lens on an fx3 you get the same image out of box
No you don’t I own both cameras haha not even close 😂
@@Donotcareabyouropinion yes you do. I own 3 6 9. We don’t believe you.
@@WalterTheBalter are you saying you don’t believe I own both cameras?
@@WalterTheBalter I can send you pics of my setups if you’d like on instagram haha idk why I’d lie about having them
