Great video. Been a Komodo OG user a couple of years and love it so much for the same reasons you mentioned. My next camera will definitely be a Red either KX or I'm thinking VRaptor for the super high frame rates. But hard to justify because the Komodo is amazing as is. That look that colour.
Is this finally a RED that is suited to run and gun documentary production? I use the Panasonic S5 with zoom lenses to shoot in all kinds of lighting situations from very bright to very dark, and generally I shoot handheld except for interviews.
Yeah so the ProRes can be a little confusing. ProRes in Red’s can only shoot 4K max. But if you set your sensor to 6k 17:9, you’ll use the entire size of your sensor. So “technically” it says 6k, but it’s only 4k. If you set your sensor to 4K, it’ll just crop in.
Crazy you got me watching your entire video. Also, I don’t want this camera but now you have me wanting this camera lol. You always have the speed booster option that’ll work great with the Contax and nowadays with the Nisi ND, we have clean VND. Keep getting after it, great work, and have fun!
haha amazing yeah dude it's a soooolid one! I saw you had the raptor for a bit, I could see this being a nice middle ground compared to the raptor for the stuff you do So true! Loooots of options thankfully, thanks man! Hope you've been well
Its worth noting CFexpress like Cfast (SATA 2/3) is just its using the new NVMe 1x/4x interface, so with most camaras you can just use adapters and run 4-8TB NVMe SSDs at the same cost of these native cards, some brands are just outright using M.2 SSDs on caddy sleds witch makes far more sence easy to get, easy to replace, easy to conformal coat etc.
That’s an option too! I hate running external media- did that on the p6k. But if you’re doing event / studio / stuff that doesn’t mind a fragile setup then that’s forsure a great move
@@thomas.kovacik I've never had an issue with it because it's very easy to rig and protect media cabling lines, massive amount of upfront savings when you consider how much has to be invested into LTO tape for maintaining a local archive per project, you just dump a drive into an ingestion and just pop a new one in and off to go.
That's my goal. Work with the Blackmagic I have and then upgrade to either the RED ecosystem or the Sony Burano. Also thank you for detailing your upgrade path/growth journey. That's something that people need to understand and build out for themselves as they advance on their journeys.
The form factor is great on the Red KX. Seems like you enjoy shooting more on the X than the C70. I own the R5C, and I'm thinking of upgrading to a BlackMagic Pyxsix 6K FF or the C400.
Yep! Potentially, I guess time will tell The acquisition makes me hesitant to invest any more money (raptor) until we see how things play out But for now the KX is perfect for me
Thanks man! Should have some more on the way soon for the fujinon video haha Thank you! I was actually doubting my grade bc I’ve been trying different techniques so I’m stoked to hear that
Hey man. I watch a ton of your videos for advice with gear. Actually got the nisi ND filters for my fx3 cuz of you. I'm in the hunt for a new camera. I have been waiting for the Sony A1 ii to drop to pick up a used A1 but after watching this, you're making me start to think differently lol. I have seen that the new firmware on the Komodo has autofocus with Canon RF lenses, have you tried it? If so, how does it compare to the fx3? I would probably be all in on this camera but I NEED the autofocus, being a youtuber and everything is run and gun. Thanks for all your videos and all you do bro!
Hey! So rad to hear all of that Yeah the KX is a vastly different camera- I believe the AF is better than the OG Komodo, but it’s def not even close to the c70/c80/fx6/fx3. I know some guys that rely on the AF but it’s pretty primitive If you need auto focus and are run n gun- id def send you to the c80/fx6. Maybe c400 if you really need the extra specs / features But for UA-cam, it’s tough to beat the fx3
A Komodo X only needs a battery, lens and an mobile phone (as monitor via wifi). This is minimal and cheap. Unless you use a $20,000 Canon 31.5 to 95 T1.7 and second $20,000 14 to 35 T1.7. But these are 2 great lenses which covers everything, especially in low light and shallow depth of field shots.
Well put together video Thomas! I'm taking a more serious look at the KX. Question, what is your ND workflow or workaround when shooting outdoors with the KX?
Thank you! I have 3, 6 and 8 stop IRNDs I keep them close by in a bag or pouch. If I’m having to swap often I’ll throw one in a pocket to make swapping really fast So far it’s been smooth!
Thanks! The KX is wonderful I haven’t but that filter is awful for image quality haha. I’d go breakthrough x4 or kippertie revolva I’ve been doing screw on NDs but plan to get a matte box kit soon
@Every_Joint_Supplies they’re big but the trade off is so worth it! On the c70 I shot aboit 200-500gb per project, now I’m 500-1000gb. I shoot elq for most, lq for more serious things, MQ for the big stuff
@@thomas.kovacikOk, good to know. I love the C70 but I also bought a LUMIX S5ii and the image is great, I started noticing how it compares to the c70 and makes me think twice about the image of the c70 now lol. So I’m really trying to get a better image and your video is convincing me.
It’s amazing the color codecs are insane I owned one for a bit but too much work around for my needs even tho u CAN def one man band that camera it’s just difficult . The fx3 is where it’s at for me .
Wow this video is already pumping pretty well! I would have waited about 2 days to hear what Cannon's next camera is. Although, while I say that I just bought the C70 and I already had the Canon R5C, So I didn't take my own advice.
Haha yeah, when I bought it on 12/31/23 there was no guarantee of an announcement from canon, so they were out of the equation haha I don’t like waiting on promises
Nope! Thoughts still stand between the c70/c80 and kx I could see myself getting something like the c70/c80/fx6 for events and more run n gun stuff. But for the majority of my work the kx is perfect I’m gonna wait and think but may just wait for a Sony fx6 mkii
I think from a modularity, name recognition and simplicity stand point, I completely under the switch. Wonder how you’re ND workflow has been with the X. I’m sure you’re doing fine with screw-on/4x5.65 filters but are there new discoveries you’ve made?
it's been solid! it's identical to the fx3 in a way so it's been a seamless move. of course internal nd is fastest but it hasn't been bad or overbearing. If anything, the IQ bump is worth the loss of internal nd haha I'm using the tokina irnd 3, 6, and 8 stop so far and they've been great! I'm considering adding a kippertie revolva or breakthrough x4 for my ef lenses, but we'll see
Thanks for the video, very informative and honest. I think that for your type of work the just released Canon C400 would be the ideal camera. The Komodo X would still produce better images (more filmic) than the c400 (more video look), but the functionality of the C400 seems unbeatable for run & gun, corporate, comercial, broadcasting. Personally, and in terms of image quality, I would have invested on the coming Blackmagic Ursa Cine 12K ($15K) with its new FF sensor and impresive capabilities, but I understand that this brand is not requested enough in your local area and network, and maybe it's not suited for the type of work you do. However, I think this is going to change in the next couple of years. Blackmagic is taking the high-end cinema camera market very seriously and their camera hardware and color science is getting better and better.
that's the hope! I heard there's 1-2 new rf cinema cameras. I wonder what they'll add to it and if I would've picked those over the KX if they were out 6 months ago. Prob not but I'm hoping they're solid for all the canon homies haha
I have been debating the Red system for so long but the internal ND's is too so useful for my purposes (constantly switching lenses for shooting sports). Hopefully the new Canon cinema that's getting announced tomorrow is like... somewhat close to this camera. Side note - thanks for creating those CLog2-to-Rec709 luts, use them every single time.
Yeah I can get that! Hopefully it’s close to the KX- I feel the KX offers such a solid value for a solid majority of filmmakers. It’s in a sweet spot forsure and it would be rad to see canon / Sony offer something similar Appreciate it! Glad you’re enjoying them
Are you gonna switch now canon is gonna announce the new full frame Cinema camera.. Gonna be nice to get a Full frame cinema camera with build in ND filters and RF mount to use with the new RF 24-105 F2.8 video lens.. Just hope its gonna have SDI + full HDMI... an upgrade to the C500 mark 2 meets C70.. gonna be great.
no plans to make any moves with the KX, if sony comes out with a fx3 mkii I'll prob make a move with my fx3 but I'm verrrry happy with the KX Hopefully those specs are true! 6k FF is a must. Canon is overdue for some new rf cinema cameras haha
You never go wrong with a RED Komodo X.. its basicly a mini Raptor 🔥✌️fantastic camera. I got the R5C, an R3 and two C70 cameras.. but it hurts my brain that Canon releases the RF 24-105 F2.8 but doesent have any full frame RF cameras with build in NDs 😅
@@thomas.kovacik Ursa G2 + P6K Pro the last few years but picked up the 6K full frame and absolutely love it. Just has a look that’s hard to explain. But it’s for sure working for me.
I want to see your thoughts on c400! I was debating on KX or c400 but I like the feeling of having a back up recording. If I shoot a wedding I would die if something happened to that card… maybe I shouldn’t be so paranoid.. but love the image out of the KX… but I think c400 first then KX. I shoot currently on A7SIII

@@thomas.kovacik yes!! Super excited for this! Maybe you can do a sensor image comparison between KX and c400? I know it’s not a fair a comparison but would be interesting to see! Current plan: c400 for a year or two then add the RED KX for other bigger projects. Again thanks for your videos!
@@BrogenDavis33 of course! I’d love to get my hands on one. I’d take a long term loaner from canon haha, I could easily put it to work If that happens I’ll do an image comparison!

can you share the footage of the shot with the sunset shooting directly into the sun at 11:19 please? I have been recently breaking my BRAW in exactly the same scenario - would love to see if it performs better 🙏 also when it comes to supporting lenses and if you want to know if you need to support it or not I have asked multiple manufacturers and they have all came back with the same line: "if your lens exceeds the weight of the camera body - it should be supported or the lens needs to sit on the tripod and the camera can just be mounted "hanging" on the lens" (so the mount is usually rated to handle the weight of the camera body and not much more. Only because you lock it with a different adapter still dont change the original mount strength in terms of how much stress it can handle, hope that makes sense
@thomas.kovacik what's the bubble level on the top handle there? I was looking into placing some bubble levels on my rig (mostly horizontal ones to see easily when I skew my rig on EasyRig setup), but that one tiny on top of the top handle really caught my eye
How do you feel now that Red is Nikon and everyone is fire selling their full sized Red's? I'm not asking this to be a dick, I'm actually looking at this camera as it's dropped in price wondering if I can live with whatever is coming up next from this company being all in on this brand going forward.
gonna be making a video on this! the future is... gray haha I have zero regrets on my investment! If I bought a raptor... I may be a bit worried, but if I bought one- it would be out on set / being rented often which definitely helps offset worries Now with nikon / red, we may see them shift into Z mount, but im not sure for the price of 7k for the kx now, it's an absolute steal. If you have the means, I would forsure get one. IF a red doesn't make sense, I would look at the c400 bc of workflow benefits I'm about 15-18k all in on the KX, if I was any more invested (30k+) I'd be a little worried just bc red is known for losing value quickly haha, but you only lose that value if you sell hahah RED is still RED in a way, these cameras are still great, some are still using DSMC2 often There's lots of boggled thoughts, but time will tell! I try not to lose sleep over it and just focus on my work haha
@@thomas.kovacik I think you are right. It might even be a collectors item, the last of the best type of thing, time will tell. Nikon’s cameras don’t impress me at all, at least not yet. Great stills cameras, but the video side is lacking in dynamic range and frame rates, plus lens choices for me personally. I’m in the canon glass world. I’m thinking I will still get the camera anyway, we’ll see. I’m holding off a little longer
I have the regular Komodo and work on bigger sets and it's been a struggle tbh , no evf, no internal ND, only one SDI.. and having to rig it out completely is so much work. The file size is also massive which makes it an expensive workflow on the C-Fast cards. Still trying to figure out how to rig out the best set up for myself but for people that work with a bigger team its not the best camera.. Beautiful image quality though
yeah the KX adds some nice upgrades with the dsmc3 monitor allowing for the sdi to be open for TX. Built in vlock plate means no more adapter from BP to vmount. It can get by, but yeah it's def not the most convenient for larger sets. I think I'd pick a raptor 10/10 times for those bigger jobs, or better yet - an Alexa haha The KX is really versatile for solo operators who find themselves on small teams / solo. I think the raptor would be too overkill for most of my things right now haha Yeah the image is just gorgeous! Also wish we could run EVF / DSMC3 monitor, would be epic
Really cool video! Always enjoy to listen to you haha. Now I doubt buying the c70 or the fx3...maybe save some money and buy the komodo x haha. Let´s see...
I’ll be the first to say this 👀 what do you think of the new C400 as an upgrade to the C70? Especially compared to the Komodo X with similar body style and 6K quality. Would love to see you pick one up and compare them
@@thomas.kovacik would be great if Canon could loan you one before they ship to the general public in September. Maybe I’ll buy a C400 instead of a C70
Is the top monitor good enough to pull focus on? I have the Raptor myself and I would LOVE to be able to use smaller native screen than the 7 inch one from RED
It some scenarios! Yeah having it on top def makes it more versatile / useful It’s reaaaally small but for quick stuff it’s actually fine! It’s fun running it with the wing grip + lens for a really compact setup
Where did you find the requested productions or how did you or where did you expose yourself to be seen by those looking for Sony or Red based cameras?
Would love to know how you handle focus on shoots when you don't have a person involved, especially coming from a C70 where the autofocus was something you could potentially lean on?
Definitely! I’ve been primarily manual focusing for the last 4-6 years, so I’ve had lots of practice haha I definitely want to make a video about how to get better / more confident with it Medium sized focus throws make it nice as a solo operator (80ish-200degrees)
@@thomas.kovacik the Same bro! I rented it a lot past years until past week a good offer came to me, less than 10ke for a full kit, pristine condition, so I jumped. What’s your fav go-to lense do you use for the Kx?
It’s been mellow! I shot with the c70 without IBIS, and sometimes only with lens IS on RF lenses IBIS sometimes makes the image get funky so I don’t mind not having it
Mostly size + being locked into EF glass If canon had an RF version I prob would’ve ended up with one but the KX fits my style really well- plus it fits in a backpack easily haha

@@thomas.kovacik Thanks man. Cvp have shown some pretty great rear rotary nd systems. Was changing to R3D a huge difference in image quality. I like the c70 but it has its frustrations. Seems like a worthy upgrade
Nice content. My opinion is we still need smaller bodies from cinema cameras. Technology already allows that. One thing annoys me the most is super heavy and big equipments.
Thanks! Yeah there’s def a time and place for the various sizes. I love the size of the KX / fx3 as a solo operator who does run n gun Some cameras are a bit too big for my style but work great for others

It really is! I’m loving it
Nice! That c400 looks killer. Seems like a great upgrade from the c70
Didn't Nikon buy RED? I wonder if down the road that will change clients minds or the popularity concept.
Yep! Potentially, I guess time will tell
The acquisition makes me hesitant to invest any more money (raptor) until we see how things play out
But for now the KX is perfect for me
So nice dude. Really cool to see footage of the work you’ve done with it. Also a side note… loving the grade in this video.
Thanks man! Should have some more on the way soon for the fujinon video haha
Thank you! I was actually doubting my grade bc I’ve been trying different techniques so I’m stoked to hear that
I want one! Waiting for a Nikon Z mount version! I'm invested into that glass😁
I’m sure we’ll see it soon!
very refreshing video. enjoyed hearing you articulate from start to finish.
appreciate it!
Hey! So rad to hear all of that
Yeah the KX is a vastly different camera- I believe the AF is better than the OG Komodo, but it’s def not even close to the c70/c80/fx6/fx3. I know some guys that rely on the AF but it’s pretty primitive
If you need auto focus and are run n gun- id def send you to the c80/fx6. Maybe c400 if you really need the extra specs / features
But for UA-cam, it’s tough to beat the fx3
A Komodo X only needs a battery, lens and an mobile phone (as monitor via wifi). This is minimal and cheap. Unless you use a $20,000 Canon 31.5 to 95 T1.7 and second $20,000 14 to 35 T1.7. But these are 2 great lenses which covers everything, especially in low light and shallow depth of field shots.
Well put together video Thomas! I'm taking a more serious look at the KX. Question, what is your ND workflow or workaround when shooting outdoors with the KX?
Thank you! I have 3, 6 and 8 stop IRNDs
I keep them close by in a bag or pouch. If I’m having to swap often I’ll throw one in a pocket to make swapping really fast
So far it’s been smooth!
Love the video, I’m considering selling my c70 to get an X. Have you tried the canon drop in nd filters on the Komodo X?
Thanks! The KX is wonderful
I haven’t but that filter is awful for image quality haha. I’d go breakthrough x4 or kippertie revolva
I’ve been doing screw on NDs but plan to get a matte box kit soon
@@thomas.kovacik How are you doing with file sizes? I heard compared to the c70, the X file sizes are massive!
Live this very intuitive and full of info! Keep it up brother

It’s amazing the color codecs are insane I owned one for a bit but too much work around for my needs even tho u CAN def one man band that camera it’s just difficult . The fx3 is where it’s at for me .
yeah the image is just soooo solid. Yup takes a bit more, I don't mind it though!
The FX3 is stellar, I love mine too
Great video thanks. Did you end up uploading any KX footage?
Need to see more footage of that Fuji lens with kx sensor
That’s gonna be the next video most likely!
Wow this video is already pumping pretty well! I would have waited about 2 days to hear what Cannon's next camera is. Although, while I say that I just bought the C70 and I already had the Canon R5C, So I didn't take my own advice.
Haha yeah, when I bought it on 12/31/23 there was no guarantee of an announcement from canon, so they were out of the equation haha
I don’t like waiting on promises
@@thomas.kovacik I totally feel you and unlike you I don't have any paid work. Mostly doing passion projects and working full-time.
Hey you going back to Canon for then C80
Nope! Thoughts still stand between the c70/c80 and kx
I could see myself getting something like the c70/c80/fx6 for events and more run n gun stuff. But for the majority of my work the kx is perfect
I’m gonna wait and think but may just wait for a Sony fx6 mkii
With The Kx price drop, Im heading for the Kx
@RonaldSimpson-jk8ff great opportunity!!
If anything, the IQ bump is worth the loss of internal nd haha
I'm using the tokina irnd 3, 6, and 8 stop so far and they've been great! I'm considering adding a kippertie revolva or breakthrough x4 for my ef lenses, but we'll see
@@thomas.kovacik That's great! What ND's do you use if you don't mind me asking?
Yeah! Check out the description at the top- I have links to all 3! IRND 0.9, 1.8 and 2.4
Tokina pro IRND 82mm
Thanks! Yeah the c400 seems to fix a lot of issues with the c70
The Blackmagic is rad! But wayyyy to big for me haha, but not opposed to them overall
Let’s see if canon can step up their game this June 5
that's the hope! I heard there's 1-2 new rf cinema cameras. I wonder what they'll add to it and if I would've picked those over the KX if they were out 6 months ago. Prob not but I'm hoping they're solid for all the canon homies haha
If the C80 was out would you have stayed with the Canon system?
That’s a video i plan on making soon!
Short answer- no, I still would’ve gone with KX!
It’s in a sweet spot forsure and it would be rad to see canon / Sony offer something similar
Appreciate it! Glad you’re enjoying them
do you still feel the same now that the c80 has launched ?
Yep! Gonna make a video on this
@@thomas.kovacik Would love to see that video. I'm torn between the C80 and Komodo right now
Are you gonna switch now canon is gonna announce the new full frame Cinema camera..
Gonna be nice to get a Full frame cinema camera with build in ND filters and RF mount to use with the new RF 24-105 F2.8 video lens..
Just hope its gonna have SDI + full HDMI... an upgrade to the C500 mark 2 meets C70.. gonna be great.
no plans to make any moves with the KX, if sony comes out with a fx3 mkii I'll prob make a move with my fx3 but I'm verrrry happy with the KX
Hopefully those specs are true!
Is the memory, monitors, etc, off the shelf and no longer RED proprietry ?
Yep! You of course can get red proprietary things but it’s not necessary
Blackmagic user but watched this whole video and loved it. Good stuff man.
rad! appreciate it
What camera(s) are you primarily working with?
@@thomas.kovacik Ursa G2 + P6K Pro the last few years but picked up the 6K full frame and absolutely love it. Just has a look that’s hard to explain. But it’s for sure working for me.
@@AdamSzarmack that 6K full frame image is incredible, it has a 3D-pop quality to it (also Komodo X has it)
I want to see your thoughts on c400! I was debating on KX or c400 but I like the feeling of having a back up recording. If I shoot a wedding I would die if something happened to that card… maybe I shouldn’t be so paranoid.. but love the image out of the KX… but I think c400 first then KX. I shoot currently on A7SIII
yeah it def depends on what you need! I miss the dual card slots forsure
I could see myself having a c400 if I was doing more and more weddings / corporate / event. I adore my KX and it's prefect for most of my jobs
I'm gonna make a video talking about the c400!
I’d take a long term loaner from canon haha, I could easily put it to work
If that happens I’ll do an image comparison!
Get me turned on… can ProRes raw on FX3 compare to red raw in KX?
I’m sure it gets closer but I’d say no
Having to record externally sounds annoying + all of the nerdy raw patents / jargon that I haven’t spent too much time worrying about haha
R3D is incredible
@@thomas.kovacikthank you, I’m on the fence now
can you share the footage of the shot with the sunset shooting directly into the sun at 11:19 please?
I was looking into placing some bubble levels on my rig (mostly horizontal ones to see easily when I skew my rig on EasyRig setup), but that one tiny on top of the top handle really caught my eye
it's from wooden camera! I have one in 3/8 and one in 1/4 20
Has it been rock solid or have you had any hardware issues?
It’s been dead perfect! Zero issues
So much so.. I now could see a use for a raptor haha
@@thomas.kovacik Dang. Everyone I know has had issues of one kind or another which puts me off. So, it's interesting to hear the counterpoint
@photographyRI strange! What kind of issues have you heard?
Internal ND is by far the main thing missing from RED's offerings.
I’d agree
But the IQ / workflow benefits outweigh that for me haha
How do you feel now that Red is Nikon and everyone is fire selling their full sized Red's? I'm not asking this to be a dick, I'm actually looking at this camera as it's dropped in price wondering if I can live with whatever is coming up next from this company being all in on this brand going forward.
gonna be making a video on this! the future is... gray haha
I have zero regrets on my investment! If I bought a raptor... I may be a bit worried, but if I bought one- it would be out on set / being rented often which definitely helps offset worries
Now with nikon / red, we may see them shift into Z mount, but im not sure
for the price of 7k for the kx now, it's an absolute steal. If you have the means, I would forsure get one. IF a red doesn't make sense, I would look at the c400 bc of workflow benefits
I'm about 15-18k all in on the KX, if I was any more invested (30k+) I'd be a little worried just bc red is known for losing value quickly haha, but you only lose that value if you sell hahah
RED is still RED in a way, these cameras are still great, some are still using DSMC2 often
There's lots of boggled thoughts, but time will tell!
I think I'd pick a raptor 10/10 times for those bigger jobs, or better yet - an Alexa haha
The KX is really versatile for solo operators who find themselves on small teams / solo. I think the raptor would be too overkill for most of my things right now haha
Yeah the image is just gorgeous!
Also wish we could run EVF / DSMC3 monitor, would be epic
Great video man!!! Side tangent looking at this videos post the Sigma lenses stuff lol I hope Red comes out with a firmware fix soon
Really cool video! Always enjoy to listen to you haha. Now I doubt buying the c70 or the fx3...maybe save some money and buy the komodo x haha. Let´s see...

So jelous about the 'less cables' haha..
great vid bro
haha thanks man, that dsmc3 monitor is the key ingredient here haha
sony footage looks really good how did you grade that footage?
I’ll be the first to say this 👀 what do you think of the new C400 as an upgrade to the C70? Especially compared to the Komodo X with similar body style and 6K quality. Would love to see you pick one up and compare them
Definitely making a video on this! Would love to get my hands on the c400 at some point
Yeah having it on top def makes it more versatile / useful
It’s reaaaally small but for quick stuff it’s actually fine! It’s fun running it with the wing grip + lens for a really compact setup
Where did you find the requested productions or how did you or where did you expose yourself to be seen by those looking for Sony or Red based cameras?
Just a byproduct of the network I’ve made. Lots of friends shoot Sony and when they are looking to fill roles it makes sense to match
Would love to know how you handle focus on shoots when you don't have a person involved, especially coming from a C70 where the autofocus was something you could potentially lean on?
Definitely! I’ve been primarily manual focusing for the last 4-6 years, so I’ve had lots of practice haha
I definitely want to make a video about how to get better / more confident with it
Medium sized focus throws make it nice as a solo operator (80ish-200degrees)

What’s your fav go-to lense do you use for the Kx?
Cableless setup? What about the Ronin 4D?
Seems nice! Too niche for my A cam haha, I see this as a specialty camera
I need a KX, raptor, c400, burano, mini lf- something along those lines
How has no image stabilization been when shooting handheld?
It’s been mellow! I shot with the c70 without IBIS, and sometimes only with lens IS on RF lenses
IBIS sometimes makes the image get funky so I don’t mind not having it
you hit all the points man! very good video
Thank you!
why not the c300mkiii you can keep the c70 as a b cam on a gimbal but rigging the c300 a little for handheld
Mostly size + being locked into EF glass
If canon had an RF version I prob would’ve ended up with one but the KX fits my style really well- plus it fits in a backpack easily haha
damn i came in just to hear it was a little better than the C70, but I'm going to buy one now
both are solid! make sure you understand the workflow of the red before jumping in. the c70 is definitely easier to operate
