Yes but the amount of felony kidnapping he would have both of Peach and the toads most royal families would have executed Bowser for the loss of loyal subjects and the princess for I lost count on how many times Bowser kidnapped in main series, spin off series, and 3D/HD series but it is enough to get a restraining order on him, locked in a military prison, and most likely death by fire flower firing squad
A few things forgotten: 1. Grand Larceny charges in Mario Odyssey for stealing the valuables of each of the kingdoms 2. Regular 3D world was not counted, the goop only applied to Bowser’s Fury
that would give Bowser 14 counts of kidnapping (each fairy 2 times) plus an extra maximum of 204 years. He also uses his army to kill Mario so he should have another life sentence plus 3x arson and reckless driving sentence.
Not to mention that he should have gotten two kidnapping charges instead of just one in Mario Odyssey, since he also kidnapped Cappy's sister to be the wedding tiara for Peach.
Three big things I noticed that were missed. - In the first game, Bowser turns most of the toads into bricks, which could range from mass mutilation, to genocide if they died from the transformation. - As stated in Super Mario World, the Yoshis found throughout the levels where put there forcefully by Bowser after being stuffed into eggs. Mass kidnapping. - We’ve seen from Paper Mario and the Mario Movie that Bob-ombs are sentient beings with intelligence and emotions. We can also see from various cannons, dispensers, and pipes spread across the Mario universe that Bob-ombs are most likely manufactured by Bowser. This means that Bowser deliberately manufactures and deploys an entire race of sentient beings with the intent that they die in an attempt to blow up Mario. Don’t know what charge that would be, but I’m guessing a death sentence. This also applies to any game where Bullet Bills detonate after a short time.
He also forgot the Cloud Kingdom fight in Odyssey. Also, even though the Broodals did also all the robbery and battles against Mario, these could still be levelled at Bowser as HE hired them for those services.
Probably only mutilation for the Toads. The spell is undone after he's beaten, and, in spite of the claims, none of them die. According to the manual, Mario punching blocks frees the Toads, hence why he gets coins from them as rewards. Don't ask why blocks still give coins afterwards, its never explained. He also should have multiple charges for attempting to usurp the throne, since that was the primary motivation for kidnapping Peach in most of the games. He later does it because he seems to have become attracted to his hostage.
I love how compared to the movie villains you covered, Bowser got the simplest charges to research, but the hardest punishment... Literally 500 years and multiple death sentences.
Technically since Bowser is the leader of a militaristic kingdom, assuming there is a formal declaration of war, most of these "crimes" are allowed wartime activities. As for the war crimes... it really depends. In Super Mario Galaxy, many toads were shown carrying weapons so it could be argued to be a valid military target if brought to a court of international law. It might be a stretch but people have got away with far greater acts of destruction on non-military targets. The new galaxy thing is a bit weirder, and I don't think we have any applicable laws.
The fact that several things were still missed, like in Super Mario Bros., how he turned the Toads into bricks, yet he still has that large of a sentence is awesome.
@@Sean-qg3gg I wouldn't trust game manuals that much lol, the fucking sonic CD manual mentioned princess sally but she's nowhere to be seen in game lol
A few things that I think should be brought up: - The instruction manual for Super Mario Bros 1 states that Bowser used black magic to turn the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom into stone, bricks, and horsehair plants, so that'll probably be Mass Mutilation. - The first seven Bowsers in Super Mario Bros 1 & the first two Bowsers in Super Mario 3D Land are just regular enemies disguised as Bowser, so I think Bowser would only get charged for the final encounters against him in both games. - You missed all of 3D World and just did Bowser's Fury instead. (Kidnapping x7, Reckless Driving x2, Aggravated Assault x3, First Degree Murder) - Also I feel like the Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario games should count in a way.
@@luciehaberzettlova7240 Yeah, because if he wasn't counting just the main games Bowser would have incalcuable amount of crimes and blood on his hands. At an infinite rate in Mario party 5 the fucker was destroying the entire dream depot, which one of the dreams is an entire universe. So all of them are, by vice versa. Imagine the charges for killing that many dream people that're real in the mario universe. In M&L Dream Team, he was more then willing to use the entire dreamy multiverse as his sandbox, the amount of dream universes generated would be in the quadrillions, would you image calculating that much damage.
For the new super mario bros kidnapping charge, there's a small note: It's Bowser Jr. Who does it, not the koopa king himself. At worst, he'd get a conspiracy charge, as it is implied he got Jr to commit the kidnapping, but Jr. would get sentenced to a juvenile detention centre for the crime, and Bowser would likely get a visit from CPS about how he's treating his kids
personally I think most of the assaults you've mentioned is more like self defense since Mario is the one that trespassed and invaded his private property. but maybe it worked differently because Mario is trying to stop the kidnapping
@@chaosenforcerdhm969If you're talking about the original Super Mario Bros than that's just incorrect. In the fights against bowser in that game, the reason its a goomba (or koopa) falling out when beating him with the fire flower, it was simply a programming error, the American manual simply misinterpreted it
@mr.stuffdoer8483 He conquered the kingdom and has her as his hostage. I believe this actually happened in the past (having the monarch as a "guest") and was preferable to have the new monarch kill the previous one (unless they were part of the family).
@@mr.stuffdoer8483 mario is the assassin's here. Invades the castle tries to kill the king and steal his god-given wife. In a foreign kingdom. You are pretty much a bargain chip. I rest my case and request the suspect to be charged for treason! Death by whoomps!
This guy has managed to make a content that nobody asked but that all didn’t knew we needed it. You have no idea how entertaining it is to see you’re videos. Making law feel entertaining and fun at the same time is not an easy task, and you succeed in it.
Funnily enough, due to the nature of Mario's universe (extra lives, and the abundance of solid gold coins everywhere), bowser is probably one of the few villains out there who could serve out all of his charges shown hete.
We actually see him get resurrected from dry bones to fully fleshed. It’s even in a clip here. I’m just wondering where they’d imprison him for centuries.
And to think that throughout ALL these games Bowser never actually attempted to kill Peach but merely kidnap her, and only officially tried to deliberately kill Mario once. Despite how terrible he is throughout the games, gotta respect the specific line he won't cross. Also, kudos to Mousait for the dedication and time put into crafting this video with the need to play 15+ Mario games! Dedication to the highest degree!
@@yoshihell4160 and ofc I think Bowser just wanted his love and willing to attempt war crimes just to have a family with her and in Mario Odyssey we see Bowser and peach marrying each other and before they marry Mario just barges in and saying "no you're not gonna marry her, im gonna marry her" is just the biggest simp move
That man was supposed to be in the Nuremberg trials of 1946, however he managed to escape with fellow officers to the mushroom kingdom. He is still wanted for violation of the Geneva convention, crimes against humanity and sexual charges. If you see this individual please just run and report him to the nearest local authorities.
Specifically brick blocks. So a kidnapping and mutilation charge for each brick I the game which is... A lot. Probably easier to give a few death sentences and call it a day
I would add to this list of never ending Bowser crimes theft - throughout the series he tends to forcefully take power stars or other powerful items against the owners will potential child labour - now, this might sounds confusing at first but if you think about it, Bowser does have a few kids or seemingly very young people fighting alongside him getting into dangerous situations, such as Bowser Jr. or the Koopalings
Regicide - in some games Bowser is the main antagonist and Peach is playable (such as Super Mario 3D World), Bowser tries to kill her. Even though we never see the king and the queen of the Mushroom kingdom, the former being only mentioned in Super Mario Bros’ manual, we’ll pretend Peach is a monarch. Sometimes, Bowser can successfully kill Peach, so yeah. Bowser’s 100% toasted now.
Some of the stuff that was missed aside, I do like the idea of us finally talking about video game villains. And if we're doing that, then we desperately need to see "If Ace Attorney Villains Were Charged For Their Crimes". Awkward title because they actually were, but it would be great to see.
I'm surprised Bowser didn't get "Child Endangerment/Neglect/Abuse" charge, as he constantly sends the Koopalings (and Bowser Jr.) to fight Mario, expecting them to do what he can not.
Lmao that is the exact opposite of how bowser works, 1. The Koopalings are high millitary officers, the only like actual child is Larry and Larry is a pre-teen. But a pre-teen that can legally work at that. Second. 2: Jr is a tyrant prince, thats over 200 by technicality as he's present in both galaxy games. And even when he wasn't he was commiting crimes to warrant mario's self defense. 3: He legit sends the koopalings to guard certain things, they fight the second mario enters.
Just off the top of my head. Animal cruelty Attempted murder Mutilation (he turned Sonic into a werehog) Terrorism Grand larceny Kidnapping War crimes Usurpation Torture (I think that might have been a translation error though) 3 accounts of murder (only in the IDW comics) Edit: I think one of the game developers confirmed that he didn't torture Sonic.
I would love to see one of these for Ganondorf/Ganon just to see how long the sentence would be. And now would be a great time as the new Zelda game just came out.
Guy summons gods, blew up half the moon, enslaves animals, commits war crimes (especially in forces) and obviously tries to kill sonic or at least endanger his life, all that must total up to a pretty steep sentence
@@thevalkyriemercenary9463 And, if we include þe cartoons, we can add regicide (SatAM), usurping þe þrown (SatAM and Underground), more war crimes (SatAM, X, and Prime), first degree attempted murder (Underground, X, and Prime), reckless endangerment (Boom and Prime), and more.
The fact it takes until Odyssey and 22 previous kidnappings to get a restraining order from the forced marriage attempt cracks me up. Plus, did I miss it, or did we not cover Super Princess Peach when Bowser kidnapped Mario and Luigi just to spice things up?
There's been some things I could argue, primarily about the extras. Most of the extras are the potential for him to kill the same person (Mario) and you can't really kill someone more than once (And if Mario losing a life counts as killing him, you'd have to calculate the max amount of lives Mario could die to Bowser with, which is essentially infinite.) On top of that, you can play some of these games co-op and Bowser can potentially kill everyone else that joins in co-op too. A lot more of the Bowser fights could also be considered -kidnapping- false imprisonment and/or attempted murder, as during a good portion of them he's seemingly waiting for/approaches Mario and then proceeds to trap him in the room with him before attacking him. Mario, Luigi and other characters could also be potentially considered law enforcement, since they're at around the same level of authority as any of the toad guards you see in the series and seemingly face no punishment for breaking into any of Bowser's castles or other property, which means extra punishment for doing things to them and adds in things like obstruction of justice. - And lastly, there's still other things to cover, like some of the Mario RPG's and the Mario Movie
If Mario walks into the room, with violent intent mind you, then closing the door behind him is hardly kidnapping. And Mario is more of a soldier than law enforcement given he goes across national borders.
When you think about it, Bowser has come back from the dead multiple times throughout the series, so if Jr brings him back after he's been executed, they'll have to catch him again, and execute him...three more times, assuming the Koopa family has access to the body each time.
Crimes forgotten: You forgot the crimes relating to Bowser kidnapping Yoshi and his friends in Super Mario World. This would be mass hostages and he can get some child abuse charges because at the end of the game, we see that the Baby Yoshis were trapped in each of the eggs and once Bowser was defeated, the seal was broken. And while it was offscreen, in SMB1, Bowser transformed the mushroom retainers into bricks, which has to be some sort of crime. He also traps the Toads behind walls in Super Mario 64. In SM64DS, he kidnaps Mario, Luigi, and Wario, so those are three kidnappings. In 3D World, he kidnapped the Sprixies which are living beings that can think for themselves. Not sure if Yoshi's Island should be in this video since it's not part of the Super Mario series. EDIT: He also told his children to transform the kings into various creatures which would be multilation and probably usurping the throne. I'm a bit iffy of the fake Bowsers should carry the same crime but I guess you can argue Bowser conspired with his minions to help him. Also, I'm sure Bowser would've gotten the death penalty already for kidnapping a monarch. I'm also betting that Bowser would be risking some crimes regarding child endangerment with Bowser Jr. Not sure if you could count the Koopalings, since they are retconned to be his minions and there is only detail of them being his children in two game manuals and some game guides.
@@TheShinyFeraligatr No, it's Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. Beyond that, many official Nintendo sources don't list this game as a Super Mario game. As I said, it's a bit subjective.
Actually, the first 7 Bowser fights in the original Super Mario Bros were just his minions in disguise. So Bowser would only get 1 count of aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for that game. The same applies with the first 2 Bowser fights of Super Mario 3D Land, which would mean that Bowser would only get 2 charges of aggravated assault and arson for that game, because there are 2 fights with the real Bowser. Also, in the main game of 3D World, he's guilty of several charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault, and possible murder.
@@antonyc.7173 eh, a billion is a bit of an overstatement. A million seconds ago was 11 and a half days ago whilst a billion seconds ago was 31 years ago
One thing I would like to say about the first Super Mario Bros game, the first seven Bowser fights are actually standard enemies pretending to be Bowser, and you don’t actually fight him until the very end of the game. For that reason he should only get one aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charge, but all eight kidnapping charges since it was still him that locked all the Toads and Peach up
One thing: A lot of the charges you gave to Bowser came when Mario broke into his castle to fight him. Even though Bowser did kidnap Princess Peach, Mario breaking into Bowser's castle to retrieve her could be considered breaking and entering, making Bowser attacking him be classified as self defense. A lot of Bowser's potential life sentences would also be removed if that is the case since Bowser would be killing Mario in self defense. When you break into a criminal's house with the intent to kill them, I think it's fair to say that the criminal fighting back against you isn't them assaulting you. Any thoughts?
@@alvaro4996 True, but if that were the case he would still need a warrant to go into Bowser's castle, which you never see him obtain. It would also be strange for him to go alone if that were the case. You'd expect there to be multiple officers since it's a kidnapping situation.
@@ultimatememe3586 It's a war. If bowser kidnaps a big leader like princess peach then i think thatd count as war, so mario breaking in to save her and bowser getting in the way would result in no charges for either of them, prolly Also question, google wont give me a straight answer, does arson ONLY count if its done on property? The Koopalings are minions. They are NOT his children, his only child is Bowser Jr. And no they're not adopted either, in Bowser Jr Journey and minion quest, they call him "Lord Bowser" and they call Bowser Jr "lord Jr", what kind of children call their father and their youngest sibling "lord"?
@@cbfranco3307 if that is the case than he is still endangering children and giving them war ships and such, even if they aren't his children he can still get all the same charges as before since he is still doing it to his real son bowser Jr.

The Koopalings can be charged for the horrifying shit in all the New Super Mario Bro's Games as Bowser isn't the one commanding them to do that, just to guard peach.
@@TheKoopaKingBowser guess I'm missing alot of super Mario lore cause I thought bowser had like an average human life cycle. So bowser Jr would be like in his pre teens.
You forgot a lot of things in Mario Odyssey 1. War Crimes against the Cap Kingdom as he destroys their entire kingdom for no reason 2. Kidnapping had to be 2x as he also kidnapped Tiara, peaches crown which is actually one of the people of Cap Kingdom and therefore should count 3. Grand larceny 6x as he steals artifacts from the Kingdoms Sand, Wooded, Lake, Snow, Seaside and Luncheon. Otherwise an amazing video as usual though.
Destroying a kingdom you're at war with isn't a war crime, it's just war. Same with the artifacts from seaside, wooded, and luncheon kingdom, since those are natural resources of conquered kingdoms they technically aren't stolen, and one can argue about how spoils of war applies to the others as some of them are privately owned or cultural relics.
@@danemr6808 He is not at war with them though, I doubt that the people of those kingdoms went to war against bowser, therefore it was more of as if the Nazi‘s attacked Switzerland which would‘ve been a war crime.
@@mythic_Tisiphone One sided declarations of war are still valid. As is certain military action outside a formal declaration, such as in many recent "wars". Bowser is clearly using a formal army and given that his kingdom is a totalitarian state, his decision to go to war is all thats necessary.
He pissed on the moon, he tried to murk sonic repeatly, literally all of sonic unleashed happens due to eggman, in sonic cd we can count the damage that eggman causes to the enviroment, arson in angel island, eggman will have a real big sentence (+ Extras)
The issue with that though is most of the possible crimes there would be done by the player since most battles are avoidable and the ones that are not would be self defense. That being said, eating everyone at the start would probably count as attempted murder (not cannibalism since he is a different species), property damage on the castle, I don't quite know what punching a sentient fountain gets you (probably some kind of property damage + a minor assault charge as he didn't know it was alive), a ridiculous amount of arson and property damage, lots of aggravated assault and 1st degree murder since leveling is basically necessary, stealing from defeated enemies (this charge would depend on the playthrough for the amount). Maybe more but that's the bare minimum I can think of.
@@picklerick2861I wonder how long a “mandatory battles only” run would take, since one of the most iconic features of the Mario & Luigi series is how every attack can be avoided or countered.
@@IDKisReal2401 Nope, almost all of them are the same. Just in different timelines. There's one Ganon in Four Swords, I think, that is just sort of a reincarnated version, so I don't know if it counts.
@@IDKisReal2401 Not really, there’s ganondorf(Human),Demise(Entity ),Ganon(Monster) so he gonna have to separate the 3. Also IMO, Kirby is more villainous than any other villain in his series
I wonder what crimes would Metroid villains be charged with like Ridley, Dark Samus, the Galact Federation ring leaders, Raven Beak, etc. For Raven Beak, I think he’s charged with a fine of not more than $1,000,000 or imprisonment for not more than twenty years, or both, in any other case because he slaughtered the entire Thoha ethnicity.
Why not Andross as well? I might be an expert on this franchise, it’s a whole other story with the crimes. But I’m telling you: when it comes to war crimes, he’s a professional. (We’ll focus on his crimes in all of the Star Fox games, except Star Fox Assault, Star Fox Command, Star Fox Guard and Starlink: Battle for Atlas, as he doesn’t do any crimes in those games. Actually, he doesn’t appear physically in Assault, Guard and BfA. Also, Star Fox 64/Lylat Wars will only be counted once, because unlike Mario 64 DS, SF643D has the same scenario as the N64 game. However, Zero will get included.)
I feel like a lot of times the best they could hope for is a plea deal, reduced charges or a reprieve. Some villains may get off the hook just because it would be so hard to prove anything. That would be a great sequel series.
Heads up; sometimes Bowser isn’t fighting Mario, it’s one of his troops pretending to be him, especially in Super Mario Bros… so, technically, he’s being framed!!
You’d prolly have a field day doing Dimentio. He’d probably get infinite death penalties for trying to destroy the universe alongside every speck of life in it, which is attempted mass omnicide.
0:56 Bowser actually fights Mario only once in SMB, the first seven Bowsers are actually enemies disguised in the from of a Bowser, you could see that clearly when you kill them and they transform into enemies also you didn't count Fury Bowser and 3DW Bowser
Can you sentence more Illumination villains such as Jimmy Crystal, Belle Bottom and the Vicious Six, and Bowser? If you're wondering, yes. Bowser has committed a lot of crimes in The Super Mario Bros. Movie as well.
The first seven Bowsers in the original Super Mario Bros are actually decoys which can be seen when they turn into regular enemies when defeated, so technically you only fight THE Bowser once.
1:33 Bowser is also an accomplice to any crimes the Koopalings committed, which is most of the ones he committed. 7 counts of accomplice to theft, aggravated assault, and extra first degree murder, at least
Didn't the Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 episode 7 Continents for 7 Koopas had the Koopalings perform hostile take over to the entire Earths 7 continents "including Antarctica which nobody lives on but scientist, researchers and people studying outter space" They can get juvenile detention and be charged as an adult for hostile takeover.
in the first game, you actually only fight him once. the rest are just minions in disguises. so that would bring the first aggravated assaults and 2 of the aggravated assaults with a deadly weapon down to conspiracy to commit first degree murder or maybe even just aggravated assault. Also you forgot to count the luma's kidnapping in the first mario galaxy. Edit: also he got heck of a lot of conspiracy to aggravated assault or even second degree murder. For context every boss fight that isn't him (at least if they are one of bowser's minions)
3:30 Here, we see Bowser's son committing assault and battery. Since he is a child, isn't it his father responsibility, which gives Bowser a few years more ?
@@admiralensin. That’s like saying a child left home 5 years ago, kills a man, and the parent is responsible even though they had no idea where their child was.
I don't know what the formal name for such a charge would be, but I'm pretty sure in Sunshine he could also be prosecuted for lying to his son about Peach being his mom and commanding him to kidnap her on his behalf.
Lying to Junior itself wouldn't be a crime, and I don't think it's canon that Bowser actually commanded Jr. to kidnap Peach in Sunshine, just says that Mario kidnapped her, which motivates Jr. to take her "back". However, Jr. might be charged as an accessory to kidnapping, depending on how old you interpret him being.
I’ll take care of it! Take note that I’m excluding Rosalina for obvious reasons. 14 kidnappings. (Two for each Sprixie Princess.) 1 theft. (I know the Super Bell is an object from the Sprixie Kingdom, but I’m pretty sure Bowser stole it.) 9 first degree attempted murders/9 first degree murders (Mario, Luigi and Blue Toad. He fights them three times. 3 x 3 = 9) 3 Attempted regicides/3 regicides (Princess Peach. She’s in the exact same boat as the other playable characters, but as a princess, killing her gives a worse sentence than killing someone like Toad.)
One little charge you might've missed. In the opening to mario galaxy, it is actually possible to die to the cannons. Technically, bowser didn't directly kill mario, but he did stage the attack. So I guess an extra life sentance for the extra counter? Maybe?
A few notes. 1 - They are only war crimes if you lose the war (which in canon he does, but could remove a few life sentences in "extra" which is scenarios he wins) 2 - Super Mario Bros. the first 7 fights aren't bowser, just minions disguised as him, though he presumably ordered them to do so. 3 - Bowser is a monarch, there are many times the monarch is above certain/all laws, it's likely within his own castle/kingdom attempting to/murdering Mario is legal or it could be framed as killing an intruder/enemy of the state. Though when in the Mushroom Kingdom he still has valid charges. 4 - In Super Mario world he also kidnaps Yoshi in addition to Peach, then puts him in an egg (which he seems relieved to be out of when you save him), so that is kidnapping + torture.
2:10 so if you are gonna likely remove the blasted wall charge for megamind, sadly, His Parents are dead (maybe that black hole was created by Gallaxhar?) meaning it's unknown who raises Megamind, but it would likely be the prisoners responsibility as they told Megamind that evil is good.
the way bowsers yell was cut at 11:15 had me dying laughing, its funnier when you dont mean to make some partys funny, even when the charge just keeps popping up on the screen making that sound effect and pausing the video makes me laugh to lmao
Would be interesting to see other video game villains be charged, such as Ganondorf. With him tho, an interesting dilemma would be: is he liable for crimes he commits while he is Ganon, his beast/monster form. Typically, he seems to not have control of himself in the form (although exceptions may apply, like in TP), however he typically willingly goes into this form, such as in OoT, but not always (OoX and ALBW). Here’s a short list of things I thought of on the spot that he’s done (probably missing a lot). Also no TotK here, haven’t done everything in that game, no spoilers please. OoT: Murder (Deku Tree) Assaulting a minor (throws a magic ball at young link when he’s chasing Zelda) Grand Larceny (stealing Triforce, probably also counts as treason given the Triforce’s importance) Murder x unknown number (likely kills many Hylian citizens, but no way to find number apart from the the redeads in castle town) Usurping the throne Kidnapping (Zelda) TP: Prior convictions (sentence: death) Murder (Probably second degree) (Water Sage) Usurping the Throne x2 (Techically Zant does this but pretty sure Ganondorf would be charged as well) WW: Assaulting a minor (Link, at FF) Kidnapping x4 (probably way more but the only ones we are aware of are Links sister, Zelda, and those two girls on windfall.
Slight addendum: the first seven Bowsers in the original Super Mario Bros. aren’t actually Bowser. This can be seen when defeating them with a fire flower; they transform into a generic enemy sprite as they fall off-screen, whereas the 8-4 Bowser does not. A similar case occurs in 3D Land, where the two tanooki tailed Bowsers are revealed to be a goomba and magikoopa respectively upon their defeat. So those crimes weren’t actually committed by Bowser himself.
I think you forgot that before going to the Ruined Kingdom in Odyssey, Bowser uses the lord of lightning to take out Mario's airship, saying "Let's see you survive this, plumber boy!" which is seemingly attempted murder plus the Odyssey was (nearly) destroyed. A similar thing happened in the Cloud Kingdom, plus a charge for aggravated assault for the boss fight and first degree murder if Mario dies. Also I'm pretty sure that Bowser has a second stage in his New Super Mario Bros Wii boss fight where he gets really big and fights Mario.
I’d love to see you cover more video game villains and as far as Nintendo goes, I’ve actually jotted down a few previously: Ganondorf (Ocarina of Time) - First Degree Murder (Great Deku Tree) - Extortion, Blackmail and attempted Grand Larceny (Blocking the entrance to Dodongo’s Cavern and starving the Gorons in an attempt to get their Spiritual Stone) - Regicide (King of Hyrule in the manga) - Attempted child abduction (Zelda and Impa) - Assault and Battery (Link) - Grand Larceny (Triforce of Power) - Usurping the throne - Unlawful Imprisonment (The Gorons trapped in the Fire Temple and the Zoras frozen under their domain) - Kidnapping (Zelda) - Attempted Regicide and First Degree Murder (Link and Zelda when they’re escaping his tower) Ridley - Mass Murder (Samus’ parents and everyone else with them) - Genocide (The Chozo) - Terrorism and destruction of property (Ceres Station) - First Degree Attempted Murder (Samus x5) - Attempted Kidnapping (Baby Metroid) - Grand Larceny and Kidnapping (Baby Metroid after it was received by Ceres Station) - Mutilation (Baby Metroid) Metal Face - Terrorism (Colony 9 Invasion) - Second Degree Attempted Murder (Fiora) - Assault and Battery (Shulk after beating Xord) - Attempted First Degree Murder x5 - Attempted Grand Larceny (Monado) - Attempted First Degree Murder x2 (Shulk and Dunban)
You forgot "theft" and more "kidnapping" in the Mario Odyssey part. It is said several times in the game that he stole things from the kingdoms for the wedding, it is also implied that his wedding guests are there against their will.
If anything metal sonic couldn’t be charged for his crimes since he’s just a robot programmed by dr egg man to target and attack sonic. Metal sonic really can’t help it but follow the orders and that stuff. So really it’s all on egg man
Let’s not forget the multiple crimes of grand larceny he commits in Odyssey - stealing a wedding dress, a national treasure, etc. also, kidnapping Tiara.
In his case, it'd be hard to actually make anything stick since we know Peach would just give him a full pardon if he was charged with anything in the Mushroom Kingdom.
You could probably make a case for Destruction of Property against Bowser at certain times, considering it's been shown that whenever Bowser stomps out of frustration or intimidation, it causes rubble to pop out from the floor. I also think the times where there is a fake Bowser (such as with some of the earlier boss fights in Super Mario Bros. 1, 3D Land, etc.) shouldn't be counted against Bowser, as any charges resulting from those would probably be directed to the one impersonating him.
2:05 While Bowser is a baby in this game, he does display some level of intelligence and awareness of his actions even at this age. So I'd give him a sentence of 20 minutes in time out along with 2 weeks of no TV.

I tried doing this with Joker from P5 a while back; counting every palace as its own nation, the palace's ,main body as private property, the ruler as the ruler of said nation and the shadows as people. I realize these rules are a bit of a stretch and it was kinda hard to estimate each treasure's value, but he got roughly 9 death penalties (28 if you count destroying the palace as genocide and mass destruction, and the calling card as waging war against peace), 103 life sentences (assuming you're not allowed to kill in self defence mid-crime), 986,5 years and a fine of about 7 billion dollars; possibly even more (not counting the $-Infinite he'd have to pay for stealing (and consequently destroying) the Holy Grail). Whatever the case, I had fun deciding whether certain things were illegal and/or if he'd be charged for them. A higlight was concluding he would not be charged with cyber terrorism against the fake medjed, because the hacking was executed by the actual medjed and the impostor would've had to confess to identity theft in order to charge them, as you can legally hack your own websites.
In SMB 1, it’s actually only one count and it’s the very last bowser. The other “bowsers” are actually imposters and they’re just Bowser’s minions disguised as him. The real bowser is the one in 8-4. So I guess instead of 8 charges, he should only get one.
Yeahhh.. I was confused why he glossed over the kindapping of the sprixies. It would in total be 14 counts of kidnapping (they were all kidnapped again) as well as multiple assault and potential 1st degree murders
Technically the Bowsers you fight in the first seven castles of SMB1 are Bowsers minions in disguise. That's why when you kill them with a fireball they appear as a Goomba, Koopa, Hammer Bro, ect.

A few things forgotten:
1. Grand Larceny charges in Mario Odyssey for stealing the valuables of each of the kingdoms
Didn't the wedding planners steal the stuff? Bowser just hired them or something like that.
also that all of his castles and buildings are violations
@@lemonadesnakeaka, Bowser owes a lot
I’m pretty sure it’s just boss battles
Don’t forget that the Bowsers fought in the first game are fake!
@@CircusRope001 the last one in the final castle was the real Bowser.

She should be happy about the restraining order, given how Bowser reacted near the end of Mario Odyssey.
A few things that I think should be brought up:
- The instruction manual for Super Mario Bros 1 states that Bowser used black magic to turn the residents of the Mushroom Kingdom into stone, bricks, and horsehair plants, so that'll probably be Mass Mutilation.
(Kidnapping x7, Reckless Driving x2, Aggravated Assault x3, First Degree Murder)
- Also I feel like the Mario & Luigi and Paper Mario games should count in a way.

Plus, did I miss it, or did we not cover Super Princess Peach when Bowser kidnapped Mario and Luigi just to spice things up?
he doesn't count spin-offs
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned child endangerment, with having his kids fight Mario.
Yoshi's Island is officially "Super Mario Bros 2: Yoshi's Island", so, I mean...

@@alvaro4996 True, but if that were the case he would still need a warrant to go into Bowser's castle, which you never see him obtain. It would also be strange for him to go alone if that were the case. You'd expect there to be multiple officers since it's a kidnapping situation.

8:05 I think it's pretty obvious by this point that if it wasn't for Mario, Darth Sidious would've been succeeded by Bowser
Bringing Bowser to court would result in more shenanigans than your average Ace Attorney case.
This one is very unique. I wonder if there will be more video game villains charged like Sephiroth, Ganondorf, & K. Rool.
Sephiroh and ganon gets the death penalty and king k rool will get 64 years in prison
Do Kefka, Garland, Golbez, Cloud Darkness and Ultimecia

Bowser isn't the one shooting those rockets. That's Bowser Jr, from his mini sub.
I'd love to see a defense attorney (is that how it would even be called?) building a case to defend the villains.
I feel like a lot of times the best they could hope for is a plea deal, reduced charges or a reprieve. Some villains may get off the hook just because it would be so hard to prove anything. That would be a great sequel series.
I’d love to see more recurring video game villains like Ganon and Dr. eggman charged for their crimes
Heads up; sometimes Bowser isn’t fighting Mario, it’s one of his troops pretending to be him, especially in Super Mario Bros… so, technically, he’s being framed!!
i always thought bowser, you know sent them. He could be charged somewhat as it was his plan, after all.
You’d prolly have a field day doing Dimentio.
He’d probably get infinite death penalties for trying to destroy the universe alongside every speck of life in it, which is attempted mass omnicide.

It would still count as mario wouldn't know that
I like your approach to video game villains. I would love to see more of this style in the future.
1:33 Bowser is also an accomplice to any crimes the Koopalings committed, which is most of the ones he committed. 7 counts of accomplice to theft, aggravated assault, and extra first degree murder, at least
Didn't the Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3 episode 7 Continents for 7 Koopas had the Koopalings perform hostile take over to the entire Earths 7 continents "including Antarctica which nobody lives on but scientist, researchers and people studying outter space"
They can get juvenile detention and be charged as an adult for hostile takeover.
@@madden8021 Perhaps, but that's the TV show, and since this is purely talking about the games, it's irrelevant
11:38 Correction: Restraining order against Bowser.
in the first game, you actually only fight him once. the rest are just minions in disguises. so that would bring the first aggravated assaults and 2 of the aggravated assaults with a deadly weapon down to conspiracy to commit first degree murder or maybe even just aggravated assault. Also you forgot to count the luma's kidnapping in the first mario galaxy.
Edit: also he got heck of a lot of conspiracy to aggravated assault or even second degree murder. For context every boss fight that isn't him (at least if they are one of bowser's minions)
Luma escapes tho.

9:34 would also get a fragging war crime charge here since he killed he own soldiers here
I don't know what the formal name for such a charge would be, but I'm pretty sure in Sunshine he could also be prosecuted for lying to his son about Peach being his mom and commanding him to kidnap her on his behalf.
Also, how do you know that Peach isn't Bowser Jr's mother? Huh?

14 kidnappings. (Two for each Sprixie Princess.)
1 theft. (I know the Super Bell is an object from the Sprixie Kingdom, but I’m pretty sure Bowser stole it.)
9 first degree attempted murders/9 first degree murders (Mario, Luigi and Blue Toad. He fights them three times. 3 x 3 = 9)
3 Attempted regicides/3 regicides (Princess Peach. She’s in the exact same boat as the other playable characters, but as a princess, killing her gives a worse sentence than killing someone like Toad.)
9:59 this moment makes me laugh.
"Excuse me madam, let me slap these four out of your way"
One little charge you might've missed. In the opening to mario galaxy, it is actually possible to die to the cannons. Technically, bowser didn't directly kill mario, but he did stage the attack. So I guess an extra life sentance for the extra counter? Maybe?
A few notes.
1 - They are only war crimes if you lose the war (which in canon he does, but could remove a few life sentences in "extra" which is scenarios he wins)
2 - Super Mario Bros. the first 7 fights aren't bowser, just minions disguised as him, though he presumably ordered them to do so.
True, but Megamind still clearly knows right from wrong.

OoT:
Murder (Deku Tree)
Assaulting a minor (throws a magic ball at young link when he’s chasing Zelda)
Grand Larceny (stealing Triforce, probably also counts as treason given the Triforce’s importance)
Murder x unknown number (likely kills many Hylian citizens, but no way to find number apart from the the redeads in castle town)
Usurping the throne
Kidnapping (Zelda)
TP:
Prior convictions (sentence: death)
Murder (Probably second degree) (Water Sage)
Usurping the Throne x2 (Techically Zant does this but pretty sure Ganondorf would be charged as well)
WW:
Assaulting a minor (Link, at FF)
Kidnapping x4 (probably way more but the only ones we are aware of are Links sister, Zelda, and those two girls on windfall.
Death penalty at will!
that would be great to see he probably has the most war crime charges, hell brainwashing too...
Imagine Ganondorf and Bowser being cellmates.
@@valenciageode25 They'd most likely hate each other's guts lol.
If he does, I hope he shows the TP scene where Ganondorf survives his execution.
Bowser did order them to commit those crimes though
@@rubixtheslimeThat would be coercion.
@@rubixtheslimeI mean conspiracy to murder
@@tonyraymond5738 No, it would simply be the crime to order your minions to commit crimes.
@@condedooku9750 Exactly, and since Bowser ordered them to murder Mario, he would get lots of conspiracy to murder charges.
I love how Mousait ignores that Bowser kidnapped 7 Sprixie Princesses in Super Mario 3D World, yet didn’t get charged for that.
I’d love to see you cover more video game villains and as far as Nintendo goes, I’ve actually jotted down a few previously:
Ganondorf (Ocarina of Time)
- First Degree Murder (Great Deku Tree)
- Extortion, Blackmail and attempted Grand Larceny (Blocking the entrance to Dodongo’s Cavern and starving the Gorons in an attempt to get their Spiritual Stone)
- Regicide (King of Hyrule in the manga)
- Attempted child abduction (Zelda and Impa)
- Assault and Battery (Link)
- Grand Larceny (Triforce of Power)
- Usurping the throne
- Unlawful Imprisonment (The Gorons trapped in the Fire Temple and the Zoras frozen under their domain)
- Kidnapping (Zelda)
- Attempted Regicide and First Degree Murder (Link and Zelda when they’re escaping his tower)
Ridley
- Mass Murder (Samus’ parents and everyone else with them)
- Genocide (The Chozo)
- Terrorism and destruction of property (Ceres Station)
- First Degree Attempted Murder (Samus x5)
- Attempted Kidnapping (Baby Metroid)
- Grand Larceny and Kidnapping (Baby Metroid after it was received by Ceres Station)
- Mutilation (Baby Metroid)
Metal Face
- Terrorism (Colony 9 Invasion)
- Second Degree Attempted Murder (Fiora)
- Assault and Battery (Shulk after beating Xord)
- Attempted First Degree Murder x5
- Attempted Grand Larceny (Monado)
- Attempted First Degree Murder x2 (Shulk and Dunban)

It is said several times in the game that he stole things from the kingdoms for the wedding, it is also implied that his wedding guests are there against their will.
4:50 BRO THATS GRAND LARCENCY

You should do this with other video game characters if possible, like Metal Sonic or Sephiroth, I already know this is going to be very entertaining.
Doomguy
Or Ganondorf or Fawful would be neat.
Dr. Eggman could be great
Dr Neo Cortex could be cool
If anything metal sonic couldn’t be charged for his crimes since he’s just a robot programmed by dr egg man to target and attack sonic. Metal sonic really can’t help it but follow the orders and that stuff. So really it’s all on egg man
Let’s not forget the multiple crimes of grand larceny he commits in Odyssey - stealing a wedding dress, a national treasure, etc. also, kidnapping Tiara.
Next, you should do if Mario was charged for his crimes
It's not as farfetched as it sounds, as Mario got arrested in Super Mario Sunshine.
i get the feeling that most of his crimes would be pardoned by princess peach whenever they're comitted on mushroom kingdom soil

2:51 by power of the stars, I think it means just straight up stealing the 120 stars
Edit: if you are going to make more gaming villains, you should do Ganon/Ganondorf next because of the zelda hype at the moment.
True
I tried doing this with Joker from P5 a while back; counting every palace as its own nation, the palace's ,main body as private property, the ruler as the ruler of said nation and the shadows as people.
I realize these rules are a bit of a stretch and it was kinda hard to estimate each treasure's value, but he got roughly 9 death penalties (28 if you count destroying the palace as genocide and mass destruction, and the calling card as waging war against peace),
103 life sentences (assuming you're not allowed to kill in self defence mid-crime),
986,5 years
and a fine of about 7 billion dollars; possibly even more (not counting the $-Infinite he'd have to pay for stealing (and consequently destroying) the Holy Grail).
