@Myroh I mean, eating a $30 lunch every day is pretty ridiculous, but a nice fancy meal for a special occasion? I've paid far more than $30 for a meal and I'm not rich by any standards. Save up and treat yourself occasionally.
@Myroh really it is mid range if you think about real fucking food instead of the stuff that tastes good but makes you sick a day later. $30 is also about an hours pay for a lot of people. And a lot of people work 8 hours a day. So you still have the other 7 hours of pay to pay the taxes on the paycheck, and to buy whatever you buy. But it's totally affordable, as long as you're at the peak of money management.
Also awry is not pronounced "orrie", as they do it at 8:40. So annoying, also to see clips from Kitchen Nightmares used when discussing his business partners from much earlier.

Ya know, i was wondering why i went from hating Gordon because of his mouth to loving him after binge watching Kitchen Nightmares during Covid. But now i know why i love him. Just look what he has accomplished in his lifetime. From rags to riches is right. Also if you look past all the F bombs, he's quite an amazing guy. He seems to really care about people and wants to help them. Now i understand why, it's because he's been where they are before. I've watched most of the kitchen nightmares, some of the Hotel ones and a few of The F word but i still can't make myself watch Hell's kitchen. He seems so mean on that one. I'm realizing that it's mostly an act. I believe he should do more to show how good hearted he is. I feel like i missed out all because i thought he was an Arse. Just a man who worked really hard for his dream..anyone can do it..just push harder take more pains and risks...this man is an inspiration..learn from those who knows..no hard feelings...
Chefs life = Unbelievably difficult with extremely little reward. Extremely underappreciated and often misunderstood.
I read the title as “From Rage to Riches”.
I really wish that was the actual title...
HA!
A more apt title might have been 'From Rage to Riches, But Still Rage' 😂
I have met Gordon a few times at book signings and he seemed genuinely humbled by the people who turned up to see him.
7:46 I loved how you used a durarara scene, I love that anime-
I’ve been to one of Ramsay’s restaurants. The food is freaking amazing.
StarkillerGoose you are rich as fuck
@8Ightz fuck it dude
@Myroh Compared to all the other ludicrously expensive ‘luxury’ food items.
I’d love to see a Gordon Ramsay documentary!
Honestly same
See the Boiling Point documentary, it's really good!
For sure. We all need to have a Ramsey documentary 👏
Biography would be great.
I hope this means we'll be seeing even more content soon
Yeah. It's been like 8 months
I miss NormalBoots also feelsbadman
This just gave me a whole new look at Gordon, mad respect bro
HAHAHA Aubergine NOT ABORIGINE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Thank god someone said it it was driving me mad
Also awry is not pronounced "orrie", as they do it at 8:40. So annoying, also to see clips from Kitchen Nightmares used when discussing his business partners from much earlier.
K
No need to spam fucking "hahahahaha" dude
we get that he pronounced it wrong
Gordon's first restaurant wasn't aborigine it was aubergine (french for eggplant)
I think they purposefully got it wrong because they can't pronounce aubergine
@@gothnerd887 But it's easier to say than Aborigine??
@@RemusHinata I don't know? I have a southern English accent so saying aubergine and not eggplant comes naturally to me
@The Lavian that explains what happened with Ted Ed and Vox
@The Lavian Ooh, clever. Instead of making good content, just make something that people talk about. Must be a few that do that.
I’ve been a fan of Ramsey for over a decade and I only I knew parts of his history. When I worked as a bus boy in terrible conditions at various restaurants, Kitchen Nightmares was my go to to feel better about myself. Thanks for the vid.
Ramsay gets angry
Literally Everyone: He's a God
He seems like the most vicious guy but he deserves all the fame and money he has. He has talent and the attitude for it. He wasn't born with a golden spoon and had to go through all the hardships to be where he is now. He deserved all the sixteen stars in his Michelin kitchen
I have his autobiography, one of the best reads and you can really tell the emotion in Gordon’s book
He attacc
He protecc
But most importantly,
He want his lamb sauce bacc
Sauce*
he make a tasty snacc
Unoriginal as always
Sinesca Levereitte okay. Its just a comment
@@SL-sy6yy did you know that your comment is a copied comment
And my new favorite phrase is F*ck Me and my favorite new words are Arse and Bullocks and I'm not even Brutish... 🙃
I like how he keeps pronouncing "The Aubergine" as "The Aborigine"
Well, i don't like it 😕
no one cares u fruit
@@Superkidra Eh. To each its own, but that says a lot about you, friend
@@Solutho no one cares u fruit
Exactly. I couldn't finish watching, nothing says I researched the topic like I can't even get the restaurant name correct.
Who else thinks this could be turned into an incredible tv show? I mean there are twists and turns everywhere
He looked exactly the same from kid to elderly person.
He’s only in his 50s
That's kinda rude
@@rish2008 not really. When people turn 40 they are elderly.
@@davidbrown8303 Excuse me? That's kinda offensive. You may think that but it's different in most other places.

Deadass. He did not want to end up like his dad.
Can you imagine just how shitty his dad
must've been for him to push that hard not to
turn out like him? That's why I respect Gordon
Either way, he's damn good at it.
“he quickly fell in love with his classes”
He is smart and motivated. He is clearly very in love and passionate about food and cooking.
if he just liked to work, he would’ve opened his restaurants internationally. It’s clear that he’s passionate about the quality of his food
When an American says Glasgow all we Scots hear is “Glass gow” and it’s very annoying

And mos cow
As if other cultures don’t regularly f**k up English pronunciation.

Ok, so what’s the correct pronunciation?

I really take my hat off to Ramsay, but the kitchen totally overwhelmed me psychologically. I never want to work in a kitchen ever again, but he made it to an amazing cook and a really important part of the kitchen scene. I made a few of his recipes at home and he's really are genius 🙈 Hands down to the Masterchef 🙌🏻🙇🏼♀️

@@MilkyGlass00 True he's achieved much more than any chef and all of his mentors.
7:46 His restaurant was called "Aubergine". Why do you keep pronouncing it "Aborigine"?
because he's a careless, unprofessional clown who did not research or proof read his material! Instead of honoring Gordon Ramsay, Gordon Ramsey is going to fall dead when he reads this stuff!

Being able to give a whole month's notice to an employer he was planning to leave says a lot about him. A lot of people would have just left the old job with no notice. It says that he is a very responsible person, which is any person's most admirable trait above all others.
not that i don't agree that his ethics are admirable, but he was probably contracted and leaving without notice would have meant he could be sued. not like an ordinary job where notice time is a suggestion.
That was such a fantastic story. A perfect combination of talent AND working your ass off.
