As a guy who never cared for the royals? I have to say it changed my opinions of those people. Much respect to the Queen. She was exiled from normal life.
I've been binging since nov 25. It the 28 , just need a break. It's just as good as " call the midwife" which WILL be back 12/25/20 on pbs then the rest of the series starting in January. Been watching that since 2015, it's so good also
@@frankjoseph1991 Coleman is good I love her but she looked like Coleman instead of Elizabeth. She did her awkward and endearing routine. I think she should have acted a little more impassionate and less like her natural self. I think Claire played her better. Her approach was very fresh and something genuine and brilliant came through her.
I've just finished the forth season the other day, it was very good since I remember many of the things that happened. However Margaret Thatcher's feud with Arthur Skargill and the coal miners unions which ultimately came down to a stand off with police horsemen and lots of injuries was not only missing but not even mentioned. Also Margaret Thatcher came very close to being assassinated by the I.R.A. with a bomb, again not even referred to. I know this series is about the Her Majesty the Queen and the Royal Family but these were very important events. Her Majesty was apparently very shocked and appalled by the violence the miners strike resulted in, just another example of the lack of power she actually has to do anything about political situations.
I've just started int the last week. I love revisiting these historical events that I lived through, growing up. Absortbing drama it is. (the actors who played the Kennedys were awful, imho)
The narrator's voice sounds like a computer-generated and breathless voice like Siri's or Alexa's, compressed to fit the length of the video review. I've noticed this occurring in other narrated videos posted on UA-cam.
It should be noted that the show is based on factual events but most of it is actually made up... this is not a true depiction of what actually happened.
It's Netflix. It's woke. Of course it's gonna portray the men as evil doers and oppressors and the women as strong powerful victims of the evil doers and oppressors regardless of background but more importantly ....regardless of he truth.

Olivia Colman...she nailed it!!
One of the best actresses of our time!!
I loved this show!!! I couldn’t stop watching it
Me too now we have to wait for 2022 to see it, so exciting.
Helena makes you forget that shes not actually margaret
Queen Elizabeth became queen at the age of 26 actually weeks before her 27th birthday. A few other things should be fact checked 🤯
I was hooked watching this show and love it I want more I hope soon
I’d love them to do something similar further back in time with Victoria
PBS did a series called Victoria its the same concept. You can find it on Amazon prime.
The pbs one is good and light hearted but I think Netflix would have captivated us further

12:02 she said, "the duke of edinberg"
My husband hates me watching about Diana but one night he stayed up all night we watch season one and two three
Still can’t understand that they couldn’t artificially age up Claire Foy instead of replacing her with Olivia Coleman. Foy was magnificent
Noooooo Coleman was way better

Are they really gonna picture the future king as a murderer...historically this doesn't ring true.

Really, blimey who knew 🤦🏻♀️🤣
Awfully true lmao
Gillian Anderson is so insensitive for that 9:50, it's the equivalent of an actor playing Hitler and saying he fell in love with him.
So what’s your point? The show is popular I personally love it what difference does all this make?
I have no interest in the second queen

Uhh this show is like the least woke show on Netflix mate it's all historical accuracy as much as possible
