I'm a reborn artist and there are alot of people not just on fb scamming on reborns. They steal photos of the ones artist actually have painted and rooted to take people's money, some never receive a doll or it shows up a cheap Walmart tiny doll. It's appalling. So sorry that more warnings are not out there to protect buyers. Your video will help save many, so thank you for sharing your experience.
I've heard of other people getting scammed on FB ads too, Kayla. Don't feel badly about it. FB needs to do more due diligence and scrutinize their advertisers the way Amazon does if they are going to allow ads to pop up. As far as I'm concerned FB has been dropping the ball on all fronts of social media.

I ordered two days ago.550 bucks.She said shed send it out.Got a UPS email with no tracking number and called UPS and they said red flags.When I talked to them the messenger died and the ups email disappeared fast.However before it disappeared i re sent it to the Real UPS. Who are investigating it.I feel sick to my stomack because i was so excited.I watched your video cause i need strength to get through this.I paid 550 bucks.Not sure what you paid but i know ill never see my money again.Hard lesson for me.ty
I'm so sorry you got rooked, Kayla! I had a similar experience with a nail art kit. While it was a good price what I received was nothing at all what the photo and video showed. It was a Facebook ad. The package arrived with no instructions and at least 6 items that I've NO idea what they are other than decorative items of some sort for a home. I was so pissed and to top it off the ad is no longer on FB and no return address on the packaging they shipped in. I can't even request instructions or a refund. I'd gladly send the package back to China if I were given that option to get my $19.95 refunded.
I so sorry to hear this happened. I've seen AD post about this to warn people on their Facebook page. This is a massive problem in the reborn collectors community too. These people are making low quality fake copies of kits to sell, taking money out of legitimate sculptors pockets. These sights are everywhere, thanks for posting a warning x

I also got scammed but used PayPal to pay and opened a case file with them and got my refund. So sorry you trusted the wrong people. Not ever going to happen to me again.
So sorry to hear. I was also scammed this year. FB adds. I lost over $300.00 USD. 3 items just didn’t arrive and 2 were nothing like the description. Lodged 2 claims with PayPal and I had to return the items for a refund. Tracked the packages and when I emailed the companies to find when my refund would come through, the rotten sods had disabled their email addresses. Good on you Crystal for your act of kindness. You truly are a beautiful person.

So sorry this happened to you. This happens so often now on Facebook that there is even a group on Facebook called reborn doll scammers & liars. There is also a group to re-home reborn dolls. No one deserves this happening to them.
I just thought to help as I love your channel, first off you have got to be very careful there are actual thousands of scamming sites , I have collected actual reborns for years and alot of those pop up ads are fake , if you'd like a real reborn you have to go through a private artist , you also need to go through the actual Ashton drake website because the pop ads are fake and you will not get what you pay for , I have beautiful reborns and one of the reborns I have is 450.00 plus paying for shipping, reborns are hand painted and hand rooted so please please be careful when looking at pop up sites. The same thing happend to me. I ordered a realistic doll of a website that had an ad on Facebook. it took over a month and they said they had a full refund. They gave us half the refund and said the doll was perfect in there eyes

They told me I'd have to pay to return it or I could keep it and get a 40% refund. The price for shipping would have been more then what I paid. Since then I don't trust any ads on there.

Years ago someone told me about what’s called a “chargeback” if you have been scammed or company refuses to issue a refund. I have never done it, but I would suggest contacting your bank or credit card company. Good luck. 😊
I've done this a few times. I do all my banking online so I go online into my account activity, find the transaction, click it for more information, and somewhere on the page is a link to report an issue and you can give them the information on why you are disputing that charge. If you do not bank online, call the bank with the transaction information, date and amount and who it's to and they'll help you get the dispute going.

That's horrible. I hope you hear from them. I went to either Goodwill or St Vincent DePaul's and picked up a couple of dolls (for kids to play with) to put clothes that I made for babies on, so I could take pictures

I wrote to the company and nothing I even wrote to the Better Business Bureau(with copies of all paperwork and ads), that was January NOTHING! It cost me $40.00! the Better Business Bureau opened a case but nothing came of it. Never again. I feel your pain, :(

I posted my thing I actually got in the mail and I had allot of people sharing with me about their own scams. But you would think Ashton Drake name you wouldn't need to worry about this.

I live in Los Angeles and there was a posting of the Ashton Drake baby doll Raven Wing on a Facebook posting. It was $50.00 and it looked like a fake ad but I decided to check it out anyways. I contacted the seller and the guy told me that it was still for sale but he had posted it weeks ago so I was curious about that. I asked how he took payment and he said that I could pick it up at his house but than I asked him where he lived and he would not give me a specific place and he just told me that he was located off of a highway in a house so I asked him again where I could pick up the doll and he said the same thing so I knew that he was a scammer for sure however I went ahead and I told him that we could meet like at a police station or some place like that if he thought that I was a scammer. He immediately told me goodbye and took the doll off of the site. After looking at his photo he looked like a child molester so I dodged a bullet on that one. Be very careful and never meet up with someone unless it is at a police station or something of that matter.
One of the most beautiful reborn ever is the Natali Blick sculpt (Pippa) unpainted and sells for $300.00 (just the head mold) and the Painted sells for around $1,200.00 but a Fake is going around that sells for $84.00 from Chinese companies with Two** Reviews Buyers stating the doll they received was nothing like the photos! "Real Money Fake Dolls!" Stay ahead of the game!! 👀

Try to get a hold of your bank and let them know you tried to get a hold of the people and you got scammed and they won't refund your money and see what can be done.
I was scammed by FB ads as well. Ordered what a thought was a very large remote control tank for my son. I received a tiny mini tank. FB ads are SCAMS!! NEVER BUY FROM THEM!!

Mine was worse. It was ugly, rubber, and you could see the seams from the mold. I wanted to return her, and the company was really nasty and told me that it would cost me as much to mail the doll back as it cost me. So, ….,, It really left a nasty “taste in my mouth” and very sad because I’ve wanted a reborn forever!

I ordered a Murphy bed and a storage building from a Facebook ad. Paid a total of $300.00. I got a key ring in the mail for my trouble. I contacted my card company online. Waited a good 2 months. Sent them a copy of the ad. They ended up refunding all the money. It hurts less that way. Try it.
Kayla, thinking more about this I think you should let Facebook know about this fraudulent ad. I don't think this is in their best interest and they should know about what happened to you. Once again very sorry this had to happen to you.
My advice is don't other anything from the ads on Facebook. I too got scammed I ordered two 22" babies girl and boy for the same idea as you and received two 10" boys made of hard plastic. I emailed the company and after many emails they no longer exist but if you check the ads they all have different names same product. I wish you luck in getting your money refunded.
If you paid thru PayPal, complain to them, they will get involved and get you a refund. PayPal has a 180 day customer protection policy. I have used it and it works, takes some time, but you will get a refund. 💕
Kayla I am so sorry they did this to you. I have personally placed Facebook ads in the past so not all advertisers who pay for that ad are scammers. It's definitely the company who bought the ad from Facebook. I certainly hope you can get at least a little bit of satisfaction from this. You might have to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. Good luck sweetheart!

I feel for you! I can't believe a company can get away with this kind of bad business! Facebook really do need to concern themselves with protecting their users and start checking these companies, but Facebook are obviously more interested in ad revenues than keeping users safe. It is for this and several other reasons I stopped using Facebook all together. I hope you can get some sort of refund or some kind of compensation. I have looked at Annabelle's hugs and boy there is just no mistaking the one for the other....geesh!
Oh man, I feel ya! I ordered what looked like a beautiful Waldorf doll that included three amazing outfits. So what I got was a cheap anime fairy plush on a keychain 😂. I have pictures I wish I could show you. No outfits either.

I asked how he took payment and he said that I could pick it up at his house but than I asked him where he lived and he would not give me a specific place and he just told me that he was located off of a highway in a house so I asked him again where I could pick up the doll and he said the same thing so I knew that he was a scammer for sure however I went ahead and I told him that we could meet like at a police station or some place like that if he thought that I was a scammer. He immediately told me goodbye and took the doll off of the site. After looking at his photo he looked like a child molester so I dodged a bullet on that one. Be very careful and never meet up with someone unless it is at a police station or something of that matter.
One of the most beautiful reborn ever is the Natali Blick sculpt (Pippa) unpainted and sells for $300.00 (just the head mold) and the Painted sells for around $1,200.00 but a Fake is going around that sells for $84.00 from Chinese companies with Two** Reviews Buyers stating the doll they received was nothing like the photos!

I've ordered Ashton Drake dolls several times on the internet, but never from Facebook. I've had to return dolls before and haven't had a problem.

Try to get a hold of your bank and let them know you tried to get a hold of the people and you got scammed and they won't refund your money and see what can be done.

I was scammed by FB ads as well. Ordered what a thought was a very large remote control tank for my son. I received a tiny mini tank. FB ads are SCAMS!! NEVER BUY FROM THEM!!

I had that happen with clothes from Facebook ADs. I won't order from them at all.
Mine was worse. It was ugly, rubber, and you could see the seams from the mold. I wanted to return her, and the company was really nasty and told me that it would cost me as much to mail the doll back as it cost me. So, ….,, It really left a nasty “taste in my mouth” and very sad because I’ve wanted a reborn forever!

I ordered a Murphy bed and a storage building from a Facebook ad. Paid a total of $300.00. I got a key ring in the mail for my trouble. I contacted my card company online. Waited a good 2 months. Sent them a copy of the ad. They ended up refunding all the money. It hurts less that way. Try it.

Kayla, thinking more about this I think you should let Facebook know about this fraudulent ad. I don't think this is in their best interest and they should know about what happened to you. Once again very sorry this had to happen to you.
My advice is don't other anything from the ads on Facebook. I too got scammed I ordered two 22" babies girl and boy for the same idea as you and received two 10" boys made of hard plastic. I emailed the company and after many emails they no longer exist but if you check the ads they all have different names same product. I wish you luck in getting your money refunded.
If you paid thru PayPal, complain to them, they will get involved and get you a refund. PayPal has a 180 day customer protection policy. I have used it and it works, takes some time, but you will get a refund. 💕

Kayla I am so sorry they did this to you. I have personally placed Facebook ads in the past so not all advertisers who pay for that ad are scammers. It's definitely the company who bought the ad from Facebook. I certainly hope you can get at least a little bit of satisfaction from this. You might have to file a report with the Better Business Bureau. Good luck sweetheart!

Oh no Kayla I'm so sorry that happened to you! I don't trust Facebook ads at all. If you paid with PayPal you can dispute the charge to get your money back. Check on Mercari for second hand dolls like that

I feel for you! I can't believe a company can get away with this kind of bad business! Facebook really do need to concern themselves with protecting their users and start checking these companies, but Facebook are obviously more interested in ad revenues than keeping users safe. It is for this and several other reasons I stopped using Facebook all together. I hope you can get some sort of refund or some kind of compensation. I have looked at Annabelle's hugs and boy there is just no mistaking the one for the other....geesh!

Oh man, I feel ya! I ordered what looked like a beautiful Waldorf doll that included three amazing outfits. So what I got was a cheap anime fairy plush on a keychain 😂. I have pictures I wish I could show you. No outfits either.
I got scammed the same way you did with a lounge chair and it came from china and thank god I had used paypal and we went thru weeks before paypal got my money back Bless you
Yea I paid $475 for my reborn but the price was down cause she needed the money for an emergency. But yea don't get scammed! Watch what you're buying especially on face book, Amazon or wish it's to risky... even semi realistic dolls are reasonably expensive.
Ashton drake dolls are not a scam but if you buy it in a different website you can get scammed .
