People, her hair is patchy. I've had 3 real babies . 400 dollars for that doll is not a good deal. It's easy to criticize when it's not your 400 dollars.
You never mentioned the horrible job of stuffing the baby. She looks lumpy. Her bottom isn't stuffed right, and neither is her shoulders. I took my reborns apart, and restuffed them, and added weight with glass beads instead of sand.
If you did all of this research, and got recommendations from others, I don't understand why you got a bad job. Have you gone back to the people that recommended this artist to tell them about this? Why aren't you naming this artist? She should be named so other people won't get scammed.
I'm so glad I have a crappy camera and hate taking pics. One thing I always hear from my customers is how much better my babies look in person compared to the pics and videos I make for them to approve before I ship them. If the pics are better than the real thing, someone is bound to be unhappy. I'm sorry this happened to you. All your points are valid. Not worth what you paid.
When you don't name the "artist" you are actually protecting them to scam someone else and hurting other potential buyers and then dropping it in their hands to call out the seller. Anytime something like this happens the seller should be called out by name to protect other buyers. The doll also had missing paint and the problem with a lot of these "well known' artist is they get lazy. They might have started out doing a good job and get a good name for themself, but now their work is sloppy because they assume because they once were a good artist everyone will assume they are still a good artist.
Well it’s not the most well made reborn I’ve ever seen, but I don’t think that it looks like the artist didn’t put any effort into it. The amount of time and resources that go into a doll like that, it’s really not that unreasonable of a price. It’s completely understandable to be disappointed but this one doesn’t look at all like someone trying to scam, so accusing the artist of scamming publicly and giving the name would just be offensive. These dolls are expensive to make, difficult to make, and take forever to make, even one that’s a little lower quality.
Aside from the bad work, she’s an adorable kit... I get how you feel on that. Yeah, no one wants to post a disappointing box opening... it took me a couple of years before I posted mine. Mine was my very first ‘reborn’ that I bought... I thought it was because I hated my voice... but then after seeing a few other disappointing box openings from other people, I posted mine. It’s been my most popular video. Luckily I hadn’t paid a lot for mine, but I sold my baby onto someone who loves him dearly, and still does to this day.
You did your research like most of us do and you still got scammed! What hope do buyers have if people like you that have this unfortunate experience don't name and shame these so called artists. Paypal is a good option to protect us from scammers also ebay has a return policy. How disappointingly for you to receive your reborn doll in that condition.
you just have to do lots of research and read reviews (with pictures ofc) most reborns cost 200 or 300 anything cheaper will probably be a boo-boo baby aka what she is showing in this video, but in my opinion for a first reborn buy at paradise galleries or Ashton drake💕

Hi. I have a new unpainted Adelyn kit from Bountiful Babies. The Adelyn info is on the neck ring inside where cloth body attaches. You will not see it when baby is assembled. That is the face of the Adelyn sculpt, not so nicely done, but it is her.
I can see that there are quite a few flaws with this baby, but I think the price of $400 is actually reflective of that. I have collected a few reborn babies, and recently started painting them. The expense in making these babies is astronomical. First the kits alone with a body are usually between $100-$130. If it is an open eyed baby, a good set of eyes is usually about $30. The babies are weighted with tiny glass beads and polyfill, which is another $20 plus per doll, and there are magnets for the mouth and pacifier, paint, mohair for rooting eyelashes and hair, would be another $10-$30. The paints and mediums and tools just to get started are a minimum of $100. Now we get into the time. Hair rooting can take 20-40 hours of work at a minimum, and painting these babies requires about 50 thin layers of paint that you build color on gradually, and you have to prime, seal and varnish. Those are all long processes for drying time. A well rooted open eyed baby would usually start at around $800. I believe her price point is very reflective of her skill set at this time. I would not have been very happy with this baby, but I don’t think most people, even collectors, realize the great expense and time of making these dolls. You can check out the price of sculpt kits for yourself by looking at Macpherson Arts and Crafts online, or Bountiful Baby, but if you’re looking at BB make sure to factor in the price of the body, rings, plugs and $10 shipping to the prices you’re looking at.
I agree with you! 400 dollars sounds like a lot, but is actually not much at all for a reborn doll, especially a new one. The thing bothering me most is that this is probably a fake kit, and thus has no COA. So I think that’s were you indeed got scammed. For the rest - can‘t buy a doll for 400 and expect to get one that’s worth 2000 🤷♀️

I was disappointed when I researched and bought mine. Then, I watched videos where so many other people were not satisfied with theirs. I stopped looking for dolls done by artist and began looking for a kit which I can personalize myself. I can not tell you how satisfying it is to actually make your own baby. I took my time. Only working on my baby on good days when I am happy and well rested. I laugh at the whole experience now because it actually took me 9 months. LOL But I am so happy with my baby and I am very attached to her. It is nice to be able to offer love and receive love without any uncomfortable strings attached.
Did she come from an artist in Connecticut? I have a Liam kit. It looks like he has one coat of flesh color, very little creasing or blushing and his nails weren’t done. I don’t think he was varnish and his hair is poorly rooted with cheap mohair. I started a year ago, I know it’s not easy to make a reborn but my work is better than hers.
Alot of collectors like babies with mottling and blushing and scratches. I think she is painted nicely. Babies have messy hair. Style it yourself. Have fun. Use your imagination. That's the beauty of these babies. She is your special baby.
Well not all reborn kit come with a COA. some didn't come at all eventhough it's a legit kit. Seeing your video made me hesitated selling my reborn doll that I am making right now since I don't know how the reaction I will get after selling it to another person. I hope my work will be appreciated by the person who buying my reborn that I made. Thanks for sharing . I hope your next box opening will be a great one.
FYI- Just came across this video. I've been in the reborn community for almost 20 years. There are some kits that do not have COA's. Some artists actually keep them. Because, to remind them on what kits they've worked on. Sometimes they lose them. It's very easy to do. I have 8 reborns in my collection. This reborn is beautiful, coming from someone who's been in this community for a very long time. The COA would be on the back of the neck. It's usually the name of the sculptor, which is Ping Lau. Bountiful Baby and other manufacturers have their company name, stamped on heads also. Hope this helps, if you still have this reborn. Sylvia.💕👍☺️

Oh wow.. I had an experience like this with an Etsy seller. Lots of good reviews before I purchased. Terrible paint job, no COA, smudges and smears and not blended, a few stray lashes rooted in the middle of the eyelids....you didn’t look at the doll and think “oh, that’s a baby.” It was clearly a doll. Thankfully I got a refund! I left a poor review before the refund request & she asked me to take it down, so I see why she only had good reviews.
Sorry to hear you got scammed! I know how you feel! My first one came with skin tone the color of burnt orange and black hair that looked liked a rats nest!. It felt greasy too! I was SO DISAPPOINTED! I would not even list her on eBay because I know the buyer would be totally disappointed and send her back.. She has a sweet face but I can’t get over her coloring. It’s totally buyer beware! Luckily my second one came from a known artist and she is just beautiful!
There are many people that are just starting out with reborning. I have been reborning for about 12 years. Of course, this is a learning process and a talented person can certainly get better and even get professional results after a couple of years. There are always new ways to paint, do hair, etc., and reborners should keep up to date on this.. When you look at pictures of some of these people starting out, there are always some clue as to the way the doll is made. You can tell either with the hair, nails. etc. Of course, as you say, pictures can be enhanced. But your dolls hair is obviously terribly rooted. You can always wash and condition the hair, comb it out from the ends up, and it will probably look better after a good combing/brushing. Mohair gets tangled if you just look at it, so don't be afraid to spritz it with baby conditioner and gently comb it. Another clue is that she sent this doll with the strings that came with the body. I would never leave these strings on the body. I have to insert the nylon ties. No questions about that. Sorry about your bad experience.
Why don’t you return her? You shouldn’t have to loose money on something so atrocious! Who is the artist? We need to know so the same thing doesn’t happen to someone else....
I agree with you, she is poorly done. I have an artist that I use and her dolls are in your price range and she makes beautiful dolls. I have seven of her dolls. I have purchased dolls under $300 that look so real and beautiful. There is no excuse for that kind of work. I am sorry this happened to you. I hope your next reborn is all you could want. Don't give up you can find what you are looking for. Make sure the artist sends photos before shipping to make sure you are happy with the doll. This is standard practice from a good artist. You can ask for close ups of hair, skin etc.
If you're done buying reborns, you can learn how to make them yourself the way you want them to look🙂. I'm really sorry for the experience you went through!😟
No matter how much you "learn", if you are not artistic (which I am not) you will not get the desired result. This is why we pay someone else to do it for us, and, by so doing, we expect a higher standard of work, than if we had attempted to do it ourselves.

I agree with Pepper Corn, we all need to know the artist's name. For the posters that say "how cute" she is you would probably think differently if it was your money that was wasted. I could tell even with the poor lighting on this video here that her paint job was horrible and her hair was downright scary looking. This was 2018 and it's now 2020 and it seems like the reborn world is getting worse with scams . What a shame.
Do not protect this seller. It is horrible strings omg usually it is wire or zip tied. The body of the doll looks very very cheap. Yes you got ripped off
I agree I can see the circles from the sea sponge dauber, the hair is awful, she looks under-stuffed, the blue in toes is something done in layer 1 or 2 but then when the next layers of pain come you blend in. If you need to and stay in community, check out Annette of MiraclesBabyNursery specifically MBN Painting class 2019 because your doll is totally fixable and a beautiful kit. The kits from Bountiful Baby don’t have the stamp on the back of the neck....not that I’ve seen. There was definitely an issue if you paid for a limited edition, because editions can be reproduced as 2nd edition etc making the 1st more valuable but you need proof it is. I agree overall with you.
I'm sorry you had to go through that. And Yes $400.00 dollars for a doll is a lot of money. The doll should have been perfect. I got scammed not too long ago, the lady would not refund me my money and eBay didn't make her, PayPal didn't make her, so I'm stuck with a doll that I'm very unhappy with. right now she's in her box I packed her back up and I will not be buying dolls off of eBay anymore. This is a scamming hobby.
As someone who makes reborns this is not great. Usually if you order a kit and you don't get a COA it's because its a ripped off kit. She honestly should offer you a refund based on the hair rooting alone...

I'm completely addicted to Ashton drake and paradise galleries and this is why. I have gotten a couple budget reborn for a couple hundred dollars and that's expensive for me and believe me I like the Ashton drake and paradise galleries better than any reborn I've been able to get.

Looks like some work I got from an artist, originally $675 shipped paid by first mommy who didn’t like the hair quality. 1 week of being with first mommy I got her, paint job was horrible with mottling just like this, rooting and hair was atrocious, and her varnish had already worn off in several different places. I will never buy from that artist or recommend them to anyone.
I am so sorry this happened to you!! I was scammed too. I took my scammer to court. I won but will probably will not get the money. I do think you should call her out so it doesn't happen to others!! I did research as well and talked to her for like a year over text messages and thought i could trust her.. I know it has been years since this happened to you and I do hope you decided to get ahold of bay or how ever you paid and made a complaint against her! I really hope it all worked out for you!!

I have a reborn that looks just like a baby doll that orange red with no bottling or anything and shes flat, the complexion looks just like a baby doll. That's why I love paradise galleries and Ashton drake babies because at least you know your baby will be beautiful even if it's not done as a 3 D reborn by an excellent artist and that's if you can find one
Perhaps a student artist was given the task of painting dolls at that price point in that studio. $400 is a good bit of money that others will treat with respect. You would be within your right to ask for your money back. Being nice doesn’t mean you don’t mind being taken advantage of. This is so not ok. Let people know who let this poor quality work leave their studio if they won’t refund your purchase price or give you replacement doll of quality, on which their reputation may thrive. The kit was cute. It’s too bad the artist did not do a good job. I have a $600:doll that didn’t come with a COA or artists certificate. I also wasn’t crazy about the painting. Mine looks better than your doll. I should have contacted the artist, but I knew she would retaliate, so I let it go. If I wanted to sell the baby, how would I begin to recoup my money without the COA or artists cert? I’ll never buy another doll from her.

That is a beautiful doll I have seen $2000 dolls with hair like that (hatHair) Mohair looks terrible if it isn't combed If that is mohair wash it with Dawn rinse it with cold water. I supply mohair and this is what I do I don't think 6 hairs per hole but the whole microrooting has differing style. But if you have seen any extreme closeups of a shaved scalp with new growth you can see anywhere from 2 to 5 hairs per pore Mottling is done with a sponge That Mottling looks fine Many buyers love to have the strings left in case they want to increase or decrease weight. Not all come with COAs Irresistables always say "MOST come with COAs" Not all kits have insignia on the back. If you untie the string the signage maybe on the bottom ring of the head. Eyes have tears I can't see the eyelashes stuck But I can hear the anger and anxiety in your voice. Calm down. I find that even I have a tendency to find more fault than I originally saw when angry over something I ordered. One must be carefully. I saw a very young girl who got her 4th reborn and she had the IVE BEEN .SCAMMED header on her UA-cam video with her mouth open tears in her eyes. First. She was upset the box was a little beaten up, then there wasn't enough hair. She didn't like the tears in the eyes calling it "spilled glue" she was getting more animated and then got upset that the tags were left on the clothes given as a free gift seperately and then she was angry because she already had some of the outfits. These dolls are works of art. I am glad you didn't shame her, many artists LOVE LOV. LOVE seeing artists demeaned. One compiled a blacklist of almost 1000 names! You know you weren't scammed. Just like a newborn baby there will be flaws Do we call God a scammer? Unfortunately you have now been put on a list of blackballed buyers. Sell the doll Erase this video

I have returned many back and not charged them because I didn't need to the hair just needed a little TLC So let me give you a challenge not Karen; buy a $125 kit; $10 for acrylic eyes (I make my own GLASS eyes) $40 - $100 for mohair; $100 for paint; varnish; filler (I use very expensive silk filler that absorbs dampness to keep it mildew free) at least $30 for a cute outfit including foot covering and a blanket, shipping products, shipping cost plus insurance (you stand a chance of having your product hidden because most people search by 'free shipping' and before they take the opportunity to follow up a search without filters) And now let's get started. You will need anywhere from 30 to 50 hours most of that'just rooting mohair. I prep my own mohair directly from the farm. If you have problems contact me and I will help for free because that's what decent people do, Everyone has to start somewhere. I have been doing this for 8 years and I appreciate all my customers because they helped me get thru that uncomfortably stage and I now reward them with a free newborn and gifts for birthday or holiday. But I can only afford to do it once. You are insuting someone's art. But even worse you have done it on a public forum causing them to lose revenue. To give you a comparison, think of cooking a gorgeous meal and something goes wrong. One of your guests says you had a sh**show. Or maybe designing a house... You get the idea. You have a right to not like something You have a right for a full refund You don't have a right to hurt their feelings. Simply return it and say "Thank you very much but this is not what I expected"
i recently got scammed in a way, just a weird disappointing thing I have to deal with now. I finally wanted to get one since I’ve been trying to save up so long to get a custom memory reborn done which I still have a ways to go before I can afford to do that, so I got recommended and they had a huge sale, I thought I would finally have one while I save but I still don’t have anything. I posted a it on my insta if you want to have a look xgemmaxleonx and it happened with paradise galleries so maybe people overseas should just be careful for a while.
I am so sorry you went through this. The hair looks like yarn that was combed with a fur brush to make it look like hair. The sculpt is very pretty but it should have been marked on the back of her neck. And those ties... very sloppy work indeed. I would send her back and demand a full refund.

I stopped looking for dolls done by artist and began looking for a kit which I can personalize myself. I can not tell you how satisfying it is to actually make your own baby. I took my time. Only working on my baby on good days when I am happy and well rested. I laugh at the whole experience now because it actually took me 9 months. LOL But I am so happy with my baby and I am very attached to her. It is nice to be able to offer love and receive love without any uncomfortable strings attached.
Did she come from an artist in Connecticut? I have a Liam kit. It looks like he has one coat of flesh color, very little creasing or blushing and his nails weren’t done. I don’t think he was varnish and his hair is poorly rooted with cheap mohair. I started a year ago, I know it’s not easy to make a reborn but my work is better than hers.

Alot of collectors like babies with mottling and blushing and scratches. I think she is painted nicely. Babies have messy hair. Style it yourself. Have fun. Use your imagination. That's the beauty of these babies. She is your special baby.

Well not all reborn kit come with a COA. some didn't come at all eventhough it's a legit kit. Seeing your video made me hesitated selling my reborn doll that I am making right now since I don't know how the reaction I will get after selling it to another person. I hope my work will be appreciated by the person who buying my reborn that I made. Thanks for sharing . I hope your next box opening will be a great one.

FYI- Just came across this video. I've been in the reborn community for almost 20 years. There are some kits that do not have COA's. Some artists actually keep them. Because, to remind them on what kits they've worked on. Sometimes they lose them. It's very easy to do. I have 8 reborns in my collection. This reborn is beautiful, coming from someone who's been in this community for a very long time. The COA would be on the back of the neck. It's usually the name of the sculptor, which is Ping Lau. Bountiful Baby and other manufacturers have their company name, stamped on heads also. Hope this helps, if you still have this reborn. Sylvia.💕👍☺️

Oh wow.. I had an experience like this with an Etsy seller. Lots of good reviews before I purchased. Terrible paint job, no COA, smudges and smears and not blended, a few stray lashes rooted in the middle of the eyelids....you didn’t look at the doll and think “oh, that’s a baby.” It was clearly a doll. Thankfully I got a refund! I left a poor review before the refund request & she asked me to take it down, so I see why she only had good reviews.

Sorry to hear you got scammed! I know how you feel! My first one came with skin tone the color of burnt orange and black hair that looked liked a rats nest!. It felt greasy too! I was SO DISAPPOINTED! I would not even list her on eBay because I know the buyer would be totally disappointed and send her back.. She has a sweet face but I can’t get over her coloring. It’s totally buyer beware! Luckily my second one came from a known artist and she is just beautiful!

There are many people that are just starting out with reborning. I have been reborning for about 12 years. Of course, this is a learning process and a talented person can certainly get better and even get professional results after a couple of years. There are always new ways to paint, do hair, etc., and reborners should keep up to date on this.. When you look at pictures of some of these people starting out, there are always some clue as to the way the doll is made. You can tell either with the hair, nails. etc. Of course, as you say, pictures can be enhanced. But your dolls hair is obviously terribly rooted. You can always wash and condition the hair, comb it out from the ends up, and it will probably look better after a good combing/brushing. Mohair gets tangled if you just look at it, so don't be afraid to spritz it with baby conditioner and gently comb it. Another clue is that she sent this doll with the strings that came with the body. I would never leave these strings on the body. I have to insert the nylon ties. No questions about that. Sorry about your bad experience.
Why don’t you return her? You shouldn’t have to loose money on something so atrocious! Who is the artist? We need to know so the same thing doesn’t happen to someone else....
I agree with you, she is poorly done. I have an artist that I use and her dolls are in your price range and she makes beautiful dolls. I have seven of her dolls. I have purchased dolls under $300 that look so real and beautiful. There is no excuse for that kind of work. I am sorry this happened to you. I hope your next reborn is all you could want. Don't give up you can find what you are looking for. Make sure the artist sends photos before shipping to make sure you are happy with the doll. This is standard practice from a good artist. You can ask for close ups of hair, skin etc.

No matter how much you "learn", if you are not artistic (which I am not) you will not get the desired result. This is why we pay someone else to do it for us, and, by so doing, we expect a higher standard of work, than if we had attempted to do it ourselves.

I agree with Pepper Corn, we all need to know the artist's name. For the posters that say "how cute" she is you would probably think differently if it was your money that was wasted. I could tell even with the poor lighting on this video here that her paint job was horrible and her hair was downright scary looking. This was 2018 and it's now 2020 and it seems like the reborn world is getting worse with scams . What a shame.

Do not protect this seller. It is horrible strings omg usually it is wire or zip tied. The body of the doll looks very very cheap. Yes you got ripped off
I agree I can see the circles from the sea sponge dauber, the hair is awful, she looks under-stuffed, the blue in toes is something done in layer 1 or 2 but then when the next layers of pain come you blend in. If you need to and stay in community, check out Annette of MiraclesBabyNursery specifically MBN Painting class 2019 because your doll is totally fixable and a beautiful kit. The kits from Bountiful Baby don’t have the stamp on the back of the neck....not that I’ve seen. There was definitely an issue if you paid for a limited edition, because editions can be reproduced as 2nd edition etc making the 1st more valuable but you need proof it is. I agree overall with you.
I'm sorry you had to go through that. And Yes $400.00 dollars for a doll is a lot of money. The doll should have been perfect. I got scammed not too long ago, the lady would not refund me my money and eBay didn't make her, PayPal didn't make her, so I'm stuck with a doll that I'm very unhappy with. right now she's in her box I packed her back up and I will not be buying dolls off of eBay anymore. This is a scamming hobby.
As someone who makes reborns this is not great. Usually if you order a kit and you don't get a COA it's because its a ripped off kit. She honestly should offer you a refund based on the hair rooting alone...

I'm completely addicted to Ashton drake and paradise galleries and this is why. I have gotten a couple budget reborn for a couple hundred dollars and that's expensive for me and believe me I like the Ashton drake and paradise galleries better than any reborn I've been able to get.

Looks like some work I got from an artist, originally $675 shipped paid by first mommy who didn’t like the hair quality. 1 week of being with first mommy I got her, paint job was horrible with mottling just like this, rooting and hair was atrocious, and her varnish had already worn off in several different places. I will never buy from that artist or recommend them to anyone.
I am so sorry this happened to you!! I was scammed too. I took my scammer to court. I won but will probably will not get the money. I do think you should call her out so it doesn't happen to others!! I did research as well and talked to her for like a year over text messages and thought i could trust her.. I know it has been years since this happened to you and I do hope you decided to get ahold of bay or how ever you paid and made a complaint against her! I really hope it all worked out for you!!

I have a reborn that looks just like a baby doll that orange red with no bottling or anything and shes flat, the complexion looks just like a baby doll. That's why I love paradise galleries and Ashton drake babies because at least you know your baby will be beautiful even if it's not done as a 3 D reborn by an excellent artist and that's if you can find one

Perhaps a student artist was given the task of painting dolls at that price point in that studio. $400 is a good bit of money that others will treat with respect. You would be within your right to ask for your money back. Being nice doesn’t mean you don’t mind being taken advantage of. This is so not ok. Let people know who let this poor quality work leave their studio if they won’t refund your purchase price or give you replacement doll of quality, on which their reputation may thrive. The kit was cute. It’s too bad the artist did not do a good job. I have a $600:doll that didn’t come with a COA or artists certificate. I also wasn’t crazy about the painting. Mine looks better than your doll. I should have contacted the artist, but I knew she would retaliate, so I let it go. If I wanted to sell the baby, how would I begin to recoup my money without the COA or artists cert? I’ll never buy another doll from her.

I have seen $2000 dolls with hair like that (hatHair) Mohair looks terrible if it isn't combed
If that is mohair wash it with Dawn rinse it with cold water. I supply mohair and this is what I do
I don't think 6 hairs per hole but the whole microrooting has differing style. But if you have seen any extreme closeups of a shaved scalp with new growth you can see anywhere from 2 to 5 hairs per pore
Mottling is done with a sponge That Mottling looks fine
Many buyers love to have the strings left in case they want to increase or decrease weight.
Not all come with COAs Irresistables always say "MOST come with COAs"
Not all kits have insignia on the back. If you untie the string the signage maybe on the bottom ring of the head.

I find that even I have a tendency to find more fault than I originally saw when angry over something I ordered. One must be carefully. I saw a very young girl who got her 4th reborn and she had the IVE BEEN .SCAMMED header on her UA-cam video with her mouth open tears in her eyes.
First. She was upset the box was a little beaten up, then there wasn't enough hair. She didn't like the tears in the eyes calling it "spilled glue" she was getting more animated and then got upset that the tags were left on the clothes given as a free gift seperately and then she was angry because she already had some of the outfits.
These dolls are works of art.

If they say something desparaging about the artist, I decline doing it.
I have returned many back and not charged them because I didn't need to the hair just needed a little TLC
So let me give you a challenge not Karen; buy a $125 kit; $10 for acrylic eyes (I make my own GLASS eyes) $40 - $100 for mohair; $100 for paint; varnish; filler (I use very expensive silk filler that absorbs dampness to keep it mildew free) at least $30 for a cute outfit including foot covering and a blanket, shipping products, shipping cost plus insurance (you stand a chance of having your product hidden because most people search by 'free shipping' and before they take the opportunity to follow up a search without filters)
And now let's get started. You will need anywhere from 30 to 50 hours most of that'just rooting mohair. I prep my own mohair directly from the farm.
If you have problems contact me and I will help for free because that's what decent people do,
Everyone has to start somewhere. I have been doing this for 8 years and I appreciate all my customers because they helped me get thru that uncomfortably stage and I now reward them with a free newborn and gifts for birthday or holiday. But I can only afford to do it once.
You are insuting someone's art. But even worse you have done it on a public forum causing them to lose revenue.
To give you a comparison, think of cooking a gorgeous meal and something goes wrong. One of your guests says you had a sh**show. Or maybe designing a house... You get the idea.
You have a right to not like something

You don't have a right to hurt their feelings. Simply return it and say "Thank you very much but this is not what I expected"
i recently got scammed in a way, just a weird disappointing thing I have to deal with now. I finally wanted to get one since I’ve been trying to save up so long to get a custom memory reborn done which I still have a ways to go before I can afford to do that, so I got recommended and they had a huge sale, I thought I would finally have one while I save but I still don’t have anything. I posted a it on my insta if you want to have a look xgemmaxleonx and it happened with paradise galleries so maybe people overseas should just be careful for a while.
I am so sorry you went through this. The hair looks like yarn that was combed with a fur brush to make it look like hair. The sculpt is very pretty but it should have been marked on the back of her neck. And those ties... very sloppy work indeed. I would send her back and demand a full refund.
