Our daughter 55, passed away suddenly a few months ago. She had a heart attack in her sleep. Her hubbie found her. We are devastated. Christmas is not joyful this year. Today I drove to Detroit MI from Dayton OH to see my son who had a heart attack on August 7 and is still in cardiac ICU. He has been sick off/on since then, but we're all so thankful to God that he survived and we're positive he will move to rehab soon. ❤🙏🏻 I hope you get well soon Kayla! 🙏🏻

I was feeling a bit sick this morning, so couldn’t work on the crochet I need to get finished. But this afternoon we went to do some grocery shopping and picked up our little Christmas tree in a pot. It’s a live tree, but really small. I remember 7 ft. Scotch pine trees from my childhood. My mother loved her Scotch pine, so that’s what we always got. But oh my! The prices of trees has escalated so much in the past years I have really scaled back my expectations. I got a little set of Christmas kitchen tools. That kind of thing makes me smile. Speaking of smiles, watching you color with that huge set of colors is making me smile. It’s great that you have such a selection! Feel free to ramble; I enjoy it.

About 6:30 though I had to shut down as a huge wave of absolute exhaustion hit me. Just a quick close my eyes and shut down and I'm good to go. When that hits there is no fighting through it. Your rituxan visit has been weighing on my heart alllll week. I know how awful it makes you feel. 🥺

When you mentioned about your cat using the potty pad it made me think of our cats. Our one loves to use the bathroom sink or the shower drains. He just sits over the drains and goes! We had to stop that though and show him his box. And our other cat if his doors are closed to his litter box he will get on the closest bed and go potty! It has happened to 3 of the 4 beds in our apartment. Thank goodness for mattress protectors! Praying that all goes well with your appointment on Friday. Keeping you and Big Daddy in constant prayer. Merry Christmas, Kayla. I mostly made all of my gifts this year. The only exception was a couple of items for my little 4 year old grandson, but everything else was crocheted. I am a big fan of gift bags - no cutting, no folding, no taping. Just stick in the bag, put a little tissue paper in the top and you're done! Plus, they are reusable. Not to worry you about Sassy, but she might have a UTI or crystitis. Sometimes cat litter is painful when the dust from the litter box gets into that area when they are kicking it around. Watch out for any "pink" in the urine, which is blood. I had a cat that was prone to crystitis and he would use the bath tub instead of the litter box when he had a flair up. He needed special food to keep it at bay. I mostly crochet, but I like to color sometimes, too. I love to play an online farm game called Farm Town. I've played it since it started in 2009 and I am addicted to it - almost as much as crochet. LOL

I always enjoy your UA-cam. You asked about hobbies. My main hobby, even more than crochet, is counted cross-stitch. I also love to crochet, of course, but also read a lot and do some quilting. From the time I was 16 until my mid-fifties, I sewed almost all of my clothes, most of my mother's, and some for my sister, my kids, and even the men in my family. (A house fire destroyed my patterns and I couldn't make myself adapt new ones to fit, so that hobby ended.)

My hobbies are crocheting, scripture writing, which does entail a bit of coloring, playing the piano. In October I did knit a yarn pumpkin and it turned out so cute. Im taking crochet with me to work on in the car and while we hang out. Recently, my main activity has been crochet. I also like word games like quordle and crossword. I haven't done any diamond painting in a long time, but I do enjoy it. I used to do all kinds of arts and crafts with my grandkids but they're tweens now and so active in sports and school activities. I can certainly relate to your frustration to not feel up to being able to do things, ny mind has been working overtime at dreaming up things to do that my body say DO WHAT, especially now that I'm unable to walk and I'm attempting to use a knee scooter in my very cluttered home and the fact that I'm weak as water and so shaky. Why, why why, I don't know. I am looking forwaed to being able to walk again and building up my strength, I pray you can regain your strength soon too.
Hi Kayla, I crochet, color, do crossword puzzles, word searches, garden and walk thru the house hollering “MOVE ______ “( insert cat name here) fifty times a day. I have 8 of the little monsters lol. I swear they try to trip me if I don’t feed them when they think I should. I’ve fallen trying to keep one of them from getting out and broke my nose, so now 2 are indoor, outdoor cats. I had a Siamese cat when I was a kid that used the toilet. Sassy says if the pads are good enough for the dog, they’re good enough for her too. My dog had an emergency and peed in the litter box once 😂 I’m glad you’re getting some help❤

I don’t have the bounce I used to have as quickly as I used to have! I am trying to come up with a simple border for the multicolored blanket I made for my grandson. It is so bright I decided on a plain black border but I have never done that.
I’ve had problems understanding Doctors before and found the best way for me is to repeat back what I think they said. I have worked with Doctors from Everywhere during my past career. Some don’t mind when you ask them to repeat and some do. I had to get their conversations right. So my repeating to them what I heard worked and , if they got upset I always took the blame and said I’m sorry I wasn’t listening closely enough. 🤷🏼♀️

I loved whenever I could catch wildlife up in the mountains! I asked my OG Daddy About Hogs and they raised domesticated hogs in Iowa and he said those tasty hams could destroy pens like crazy!! So grass is easy!!

My cats use the dogs pee pads also , Sometimes I think one of my cats thinks she’s a dog . Some pee pads have a scent added for puppies to train. Must work on cats too.

Hi Kayla, glad you are enjoying coloring. I think i would be overwhelmed with that many choices!! Today I did laundry, dishes,and vacuumed the floor. Then I get to sit and watch utube. I think I'm done shopping as I've run out of ideas. Think the rest is just going to be cash! I've got 4 this year also...Ive got a set of Christmas nesting boxes and think I'll use them for the money. That might be kind of cute. Hope your infusion goes well.

Hi Kayla, I don’t know how you colour, I have all my fingers and finally tried doing some colouring and it was so hard on my hands, lol.😫🤪 no whining aloud. I did order some kalour pencils to see if its easier . We have a cougar coming to our property, it’s taken a couple of our deer, and our beautiful boy cat back in September 😢🙏💞🙏
Are you getting used to the trays? I wondered if jars would be easier to separate the colors. Paint by numbers are relaxing.

I'm sorry to hear your pencils fell but I must admit that I was nervous seeing you unpacking them on the last vid as I was sure a tray would fall & guessed they'd be hard to pick up. I'm so very glad Paige was there to help you pick them up. She sounds like an awesome answer to my prayers for you! I can certainly relate to your frustration to not feel up to being able to do things, ny mind has been working overtime at dreaming up things to do that my body say DO WHAT, especially now that I'm unable to walk and I'm attempting to use a knee scooter in my very cluttered home and the fact that I'm weak as water and so shaky. Why, why why, I don't know. I am looking forwaed to being able to walk again and building up my strength, I pray you can regain your strength soon too.

Hi Kayla, I crochet, color, do crossword puzzles, word searches, garden and walk thru the house hollering “MOVE ______ “( insert cat name here) fifty times a day. I have 8 of the little monsters lol. I swear they try to trip me if I don’t feed them when they think I should. I’ve fallen trying to keep one of them from getting out and broke my nose, so now 2 are indoor, outdoor cats. I had a Siamese cat when I was a kid that used the toilet. Sassy says if the pads are good enough for the dog, they’re good enough for her too. My dog had an emergency and peed in the litter box once 😂 I’m glad you’re getting some help❤
I’m working on a cardigan today. Tomorrow we’re having our Christmas with our family because everybody will be everywhere else at Christmas time. So that will be my weekend. Hope you’re having a good day.❤

I don’t have the bounce I used to have as quickly as I used to have! I am trying to come up with a simple border for the multicolored blanket I made for my grandson. It is so bright I decided on a plain black border but I have never done that.

I’ve had problems understanding Doctors before and found the best way for me is to repeat back what I think they said.
I have worked with Doctors from Everywhere during my past career. Some don’t mind when you ask them to repeat and some do.
I had to get their conversations right. So my repeating to them what I heard worked and , if they got upset I always took the blame and said I’m sorry I wasn’t listening closely enough. 🤷🏼♀️

I hope you’re gone just to take a break, but I know you’ve been sick lately and your chronic illness is kind of taken over your life and I know big daddy‘s life too because he loves you so much and we can see that in the Content you share with us and we’ve grown to love you too just another craft girl up north and cold Minnesota. My cats use the dogs pee pads also , Sometimes I think one of my cats thinks she’s a dog . Some pee pads have a scent added for puppies to train. Must work on cats too.

Christmas is just another day on the calendar the only difference is everything is closed. We have not done Christmas in so long that I can’t remember how long it has been. It is just me and my husband. We don’t have kids or any other family around so like I said just another day.
