you know even though she is the face of the brand she does say "we" often throughout the movie when referring to her designers. She basically prunes the plant so that It may grow. This isn't to say she is a nice person or anything Her narcissism and other issues are boosted by this and she does use it to gaslight but, she is an effective boss. She wont tolerate anything less than the best. From a business perspective, this is smart. She is the face of the brand, she IS the brand. IF/WHEN trouble comes it will come for her not her designers. So, if you don't put the effort why should she tolerate you? If you are so competent then go do it yourself. Start your own brand. She states this in the movie while talking about cruella and estella. " you/she has the talent for her own brand but its wether or not she has the killer instinct" to actually thrive in the industry. you don't get to the top by being a doormat or anything less than the best.
I've only seen a few clips of this movie but I REALLY picked up on that. She's not a good manager but she might be a good CEO. Almost like an Elon Musk of fashion.
makes you wonder...what if estella just stayed being estella and suceeded beyond the baroness through determination? she didn't have to turn evil to be a good fashion designer. Wonder if they'll ever be a alternate universe story of ''ella''.I feel like it would be interesting to see if cruella had never been cruella.......
The Baroness it is very Dior influenced, avantgarde pieces of certain dresses don't really interest her. The snatched and simple dress it's her "signature shilouette"
this movie was incredible, however I don't think Cruella should've been nice to the dogs at all, that takes away from her character, yeah if her mom was killed by the dogs it makes sense, I can see her hating the breed of dalmatians after.but nope, that's gone
@@RealityCheckNews And your designs. Even your NAME if you agree to it in the contract. Can't recall which successful designer struck out on her own and discovered that the hard way. But it was in the news a few years back.
A good example would probably be Buzzfeed and the people that make and shoot their videos. They own everything. That's why Safiya quit and a lot actually followed after.
This is why I don't take anything to do with fashion seriously. It is all completely 100% subjective. It's only great if someone in power says it is. It's like living in a communist dictatorship, it is all make-believe..
that's because you don't have any idea of what the silhouettes are, the type of fabrics, the ways to join and stylize, what colors o shapes work better for the body. The man that was fired just made a simple grey dress, and estella create an asimetric complete dress with a bright color, and the baroness was going to use red (an opposite color in the color wheel) to finish the look,
Most of them were kinda basic and unoriginal. But thats what happens when big companies try to make money-grabber-movies without the slightest knowledge of the topic, in this case fashion. Instead of showing us interesting fashion (nothing can ever be truly *new*), they simply tell us "this is supposed to be fashionable/interesting/whatever" and expect us to be satisfied with it. But yes, the blue "fired guy" dress is really elegant :D
@@christiangraf1178 Not sure what you're on about, the outfits looked great in most of the scenes. And your point is interesting, but they have designers who have worked in fashion their entire lives on set as consults for these types of movies.
bruh you what? I love that green dress because of its cohesion. That guy that got fired had a terrible slit in the dress and it was so boring and basic
Just gonna mention she adored her own blood-colour…
you're technically right
You're so creative 😂😭

wow thats actually a great observation
Wow!!!

Who came here to confirm Ms. Thornhill from Wednesday looks like Cruella lol
She really does. I even thought they were the same person until I searched the cast.
FRR
Yes, and bc cruella died her hair it made me immediately suspicious of thornhill
I KNOW!! THATS WHAT I SAID
So true
That smile at the end though
I enjoyed this movie. It surprised me!
I didn’t get the ending though 😐
Same Really good Movie
Blood red is my favorite red. Hands down absolutely adore it!
"Well you're fired" hahaha! Kills me every time 😂😂😂
I liked the dress before the baroness cut all the original additions…
I do too, but I think that is the point. Cruella is better than her, so her original design is better than what the Baroness makes it into.
They're off to a good start.

If she didn’t discover the heirloom, she would have continued idolizing her and eventually inherit the company
I wouldn’t say she turned “evil”
I like the dress so much
True, it was cohesive and firm (before the baroness cut the back part)
As a Muslim woman can i just say i really wish i could have that turban
This movie was actually perfect❤❤❤❤
Nein
Baroness: let’s chop off all the interesting parts of this dress and call it “fixed”
The Baroness it is very Dior influenced, avantgarde pieces of certain dresses don't really interest her.
The snatched and simple dress it's her "signature shilouette"
0:15 Why do I get the feeling that the short-haired woman is the one who actually designed the dress in question?
I think she is.
Anybody know who the actress is?
What’s this soundtrack called?!
1:16 bad complements
1:29 smiling (Cruella)
1:34 cut 🔪
1:37 I think you cut me
1:40 grabs arm
1:56 smiles

What is the thing she used to cut on Estella's dress?
Aren't we all have the same blood color? 👀
Not really, it also depends on how many red blood cells you have
@@markm3691 AND in your diet, it can change a lot depending on what and how much you eat
And how much u hydrated
The scene may be a symbolism for her vanity and narcissism, Estella was her blood daughter, "admiring her self" so to speak.
@@markm3691 no. It depends on how many haemoglobin your blood has.
Anyone know the music?
Sadly my boss is like this. So yeah, toxic work environment. I think for most people. We quit the boss and not the work.
she looks like ms thorn hill from Wednesday and i thoughg that ever since i saw ms thorn hill
She’s like an Evil Miranda Priestley
so just Miranda Priestly

How does it work? Do you need to pay royalties? :-)
It's called WHF, 'Work for hire' - in effect the company owns your blood. :)

Take a moment to enjoy the victory. Whoop time is up back to work
The Baroness' snot-nosed pooch of an assistant is so annoying; I could drown him in a spoonful of water. Great actor.

I’m sorry but that green dress is super boring, the guy who got fired hard an amazing dress. 😓😐

Disney trying to convince us they can make a Devil Wears Prada type film and failing miserably. Both Emmas are great tho
the baroness is just annoying in my opinion. Ick such a narcissist,LOL
That’s the point, she is suppose to be that and she is the villain
Dollar store devil wears prada
Why would i fucking go to work at 5am? Lol. You better give me at least $50 per hr
