Well spoken on the pros & cons! I love the wheel but due to the smaller motor, firmware, and weird PWM I can’t ride this wheel as aggressively as my begode wheels. Powerknobz FTW
Sounds like the Porsche 911. Good design and over time make it better without losing the original looks(spirit). I think this is a good approach. Changing things every year and making the same mistakes with every new iteration (every year) doesn’t make sense. They can always make a new wheel with a different look later. Make what you have the best it can be first. Master V4 is a good example, no?
excellent video as always. I am working on my part 2 of L review myself, you always seem to be one step ahead of me🤣The PWM reporting incorrectly is such a frustrating issue, I'm glad you touched on it. I wish we got some - any - communication about it from LK...
Really? This review came pretty late after everybody though and you already released a review no? Thanks for watching! Yeah personally im not going to attempt to communicate with Leaperkim anymore, its just a waste of time and means something clear (they don't value feedback high except from some select chosen ones, from the feedback ive heard away). Ill just report the problems as they are and too bad for them if speed runs get excluded from their wheels reviews going forward. Meanwhile Begode fixes reported bugs in days. Great Griffin videos btw!
Great review Ronin ... that may make it a bit tough when choosing my next wheel ... ET Max or the Sherman L .. and if the EUC makers are listening, they should hire you to do production music for all new wheel releases. Awesome!
Et max for acceleration and cornering, Sherman L for range and fork suspension. I wanted to ET max too, but I want more range. I plan to do long group rides next summer.
Im not a long ranger so it is an irrevlant wheel to me but good review👍 As a Master V3 owner, I disagree about the design aspect. Overall, if it aint broke dont fix, but yes innovate a little and put charge ports in a better location. I guess when they start lossing market share they will finesse it a bit. On the other hand, maybe Vendors like Begode could stick with a good design longer? In the end, I want to see longer warranties. A better warranty means they believe in thier product more than their competitors. 2 years battery(80% charge mininum ) and 3 years Controller. Cheers
Ride mode = 40% Acceleration Assist = 0% Tilt Angle = - 2.0 forward tilt Feels Great and no need for Acceleration assist with a -2 forward tilt here. I agree with the charging port. It sucks lol
lol #DUF in NYC, Love the video and the tunes...should have been called the SHERMAN W ...This is a Ronin production, can't you tell ..riding high on the sherman L ... I was able to witness that iconic choir performance live..it was beautiful !
Love the music! When you releasing an album? 😁 Great review, i just got this wheel and agree with many of your observations. Thanks for posting your settings, im going to give them a try.
Im a little confused on your comment on dynamic assist. You say the implementation is terrible (not rubbery) which i agree with, but setting it 100 is extreme! Im running 100/0/-1 sensitivity/assist/angle.
@@Ronin_Ryder i have my beeps in darkness bot set to 87 90 and 95 pwm so if i hear beeps i know to slow down. i also have the beeps connected to my helment cardo unit
No review ever mentions this: the Sherman L has a problem with gyroscopic force and weight distribution. The weight of a wheel needs to be down low to creat stability, but the weight of the L is evenly distributed, making it too easy to lean to the side. And gyroscopic forces are needed to keep a wheel from being disturbed while riding, but this basically has no gyroscopic force until around 30mph. Because of that, there's no body-leaning during regular riding. At 20mph, you have to steer it like you're going 3mph. Notice how the rider is always on top of the wheel in this video, same with pretty much every rider in every Sherman L video. This creates a different ride and safety issues. Body-leaning allows you to turn while keeping the wheel more upright, and as much of the wheel touching the ground as possible. The more a wheel is on its side, the less traction you have. Body-leaning also gives you more control over steering because bigger inputs result in smaller changes to angle of lean. It's more precise. It also means you have to fight against the wheel a bit to make it lean, but the L will fall over if you even think of leaning. The wheel is rideable, but no one is talking about how the new motor tech and weight distribution from Veteran is messing up their wheels. There's a reason the Lynx is known for wobbles, and it isn't pedal height. Their motors and weight distribution are causing losses in gyroscopic force and balancing, making them easy to disturb.
"what no one is talking about" 😁. I have none of the issues you mention. The Sherman L is extremely well weight balanced imo and you can lean it without issues with dynamic assist.
@@Ronin_Ryder I just watched jay films skateboard across USA 3k miles and it inspired me to try although my kneees are blown out I can still cruise on euc I’m watching a lot of people walk and ride bikes across too the trekking journey part looks blissful and free I’m looking at march April time if anyone wants to group ride
Powerknobz unleash all the torque you can get from your wheel... nice match with the sherman L ❤
Yooo that was me riding behind you at 3:38 ✌️

Have you tried their recent firmware, version 13? That's "supposed" to address the quirks.
Thanks for providing so many great reviews over the year Ronin.

The wheel inspired a song. That's awesome.
The review I have been waiting for! Potential ex30 replacement for me.

Encore une superbe video!
Franchement surpris du peu d'abonnés.
Tu déchires, continues!
Merci beaucoup🙏
I want a long range wheel and the specs of the Sherman L speak for themselves. I have been very happy with Leaperkim build quality and performance.
I like the subtle dig at inmotion with the orange color comment 😅
Ahah, Begode too

great review now I have to consider this wheel.
It's a great one 👍
Ride mode = 40%
Acceleration Assist = 0%
Tilt Angle = - 2.0 forward tilt
Feels Great and no need for Acceleration assist with a -2 forward tilt here.
I agree with the charging port. It sucks lol
If the design works and is durable why would they change the design? Just to introduce possible problems
Because it gets boring over time, explained in the video.
Fantastique vidéo but we want that soundtrack too 💯💯
Thanks. Ill upload it on Spotify next week.
New FW has been out almost a week. New setting, CrA Lu will keep pedals level.

Ohh I just got the joke duh . I'm like who's duf.. 😂
damn that sherman L custom song was pretty good.
Glad you liked them. Took some time to come up with something acceptable 😊
What light did you place at the bottom of the wheel (red color)?
What lights are you using on the underneath of the pedals?
Some cheap aliexpress ones

Banger soundtrack
Thanks a lot🙏
la crux new feature fixed the pedal dip for me at high speed .
Ce serait bien si t'avais aussi une chaine en français mon Ami... Merci pour la vidéo👍
good music, the wheel isn't bad either

I think the wheel dynamic assist should be functional without all these settings research.
BBBBBBBBEEEEEEEAAAAUUUUTTTTTIIIIFFFFFFUUUUULLLLL !!!!
😁😁 Thanks!!
Its safe to go off the beeps of the wheel right? (I dont use any apps. Just a synced beeper connected with the wheel)
When you hear the beeps, on any wheel, it's starting to not be safe 😊

In my opinion each wheel has its own way of driving, no two are the same, so it depends on how skilled the driver is at driving the wheel
I've not heard that being a problem with L or Lynx
Tubeless tire suck, not much tires will fit
I like the ai music in the background
