I have never indexed my 2-cyl e-tec when removing and cleaning my plugs. I also lightly rub the spark tip with 400-600 wet/dry paper to clean them. Apparently, I'm breaking all the rules! But it's always ran excellent. After watching this I might now remove and try to index properly.

Thanks for sharing, indexing is mentioned in the Evinrude Etec manual.
More so on these fuel injection engines opposed to carb fuel delivery engines

As for the manual, I’m not sure if anyone has uploaded a free PDF. You have have to buy a PDF or a physical book
