They are certain details about Project Sabbath that suggests it's related to the arkhamverse, like Harley Quinn starting a cult after the Joker who died years prior and Poison Ivy's resurrection (which they put into SSKTJL). Fact of the matter is we're not gonna know for sure because the whole thing was cancelled. I'm only saying this would've been a better final game for Kevin Conroy.
Man a Beyond Arkham game would've been the perfect sequel to Arkham Knight. you can imagine the innovation that game would have after a present day freeroam Gotham City to a bigger more vertically higher Gotham with way more traversal gadgets that would be faster and more efficient like Spiderman 2

There were big rumors that Rocksteady wanted to do new original things after his Arkham trilogy ends but Warner pushed the studio to full focus on popular DC brands (they pitched a Superman project but WB was way more interested in a Suicide Squad game after the big success of Will Smith & Margot Robbie 2016 film adaptation), so many veteran members of Rocksteady (like founder and director Sefton Hill) abandoned the team these past years

Leaks don't cancel projects that have started, especially with a game. A game is primarily about its playability and setting not about its secret story lines. If a story is the reason for a game then what about driving and fighting games? Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Gran Turismo, Forza, etc are huge franchises that really have no story. If a game has leaks it's because people are hyped about the game. If the leak is something spectacular it could actually make more hype.

When i first heard about this and learned Damian was going to be the next playable batman it was already dead in the water production wise, the concept sounds interesting and this was around the time i learned about Damian wayne and started to like his character
The Batman Beyond game should have had terry as the main with Damian as the next leader of the league of shadows. Hating his father for not giving him the cowl since he was too violent to be Batman. Have Greyson as a mentor also. Really could have been a tale not only evolving the BatFamily but Terrys rogue gallery. This game being cancelled was the worst kind of potential Wasted Potential.

I feel Warner will do what they always do and retcon the unsuccessful thing out of the equation. Man of Steel was originally going to be part of the Nolan-verse, The Flash movie was going to be part of the DCU (Blue Beetle will probably also be retconned), Superman Returns is lowkey ignored on the Reeve continuity, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if we later learn SS:KtJL is a "Arkhamverse's introduction to the multiverse" or a "They were clones all along" type-deal.

I love the Arkham games so much! Arkham Asylum was my first experience of Batman that wasn't The Dark Knight movies. I recently finished Arkham Knight for the first time, but Asylum has such a special place for me! Just the map alone, is perfect for me! Arkham Batman is my Batman hands down!

Knight story was garbage because Paul Dini wasn’t involved. The whole Knight military thing made no sense at all, no boss fights and the sub-missions were lame AF. Too much time spent on making the tank stuff.

Two face being a faction in a part of gotham is great but character wise it would make more sense for him to be more of a "third party" as in not aligned with either court of owls and obviously not with batman but maybe more random "50/50" chances of helping The court of owls on certain situations. I know two face has teamed up with fellow villians before both in comics and even in these games but it always feels very uncharacteristic of him to me in my opinion.
I kind of thought the Nemesis system in a batman game would've just been extremely annoying, if they worked it specifically into how Talons worked, that would've kind of been a pretty cool concept, actually. It just would've been annoying if it becomes necessary in completing the game to clear Talons if there is a never ending supply of NPC enemies filling power vacuums while you are trying to move forward.
I am actually so happy and yet also remorseful after watching this video... I had always envisioned that a Batman game with the nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor/War would probably be like the hit of the decade, the nemesis system is so alive and just... fit a Gotham game about trying to take down an underworld of villains, even more than it could ever fit LOTR in my opinion. Hopefully WB finally commits to making a game with it, or they allow someone else who has the balls enough to use the nemesis system to make what would probably be the game of the century

Me watching this video back after just getting done playing Arkham Asylum for the first time in like three years on PlayStation five and I did a speed run and solved most of the riddles that normally when I first started playing when the game first came out would take me months to get

Imo Arkham City is the ending. Origins is the beginning considering it’s a prequel but the series ends in Arkham City for me. Arkham Knight felt like the weakest story wise
Definitely agree with this. I think people are looking back at Knight with rose tinted glasses now that SS has released. Arkham knight got sooo much hate when it first launched.

I liked the story for the canceled game, especially in terms of lore. Regarding what happened in SS:KTJL, I must admit I was surprised by the freedom they were given to develop the story. However, upon seeing the story leaks (ironically) post-lunch, I'm saddened by what they have done. It seems they added a "surprise" element just for the sake of it, and any further developments will only make it appear as though they are trying to fix things rather than asserting that this was their vision from the beginning.
This wouldve been so epic. And wuldve been awesome to see how the city has changed. Maybe even finally let us go see and explorer places we had been before but now in the future like the asylum and arkham city which i woildve always wondered what had happened to these places after arkham city and knight. Couldve been so cool.
All we wanted after Arkham Knight was Rocksteady to give us Superman's time in the big open world triple AAA title field But sadly, Insomniac gave Spider-Man that and the two Arkham successors we get ended up failing

I kind of thought the Nemesis system in a batman game would've just been extremely annoying, if they worked it specifically into how Talons worked, that would've kind of been a pretty cool concept, actually. It just would've been annoying if it becomes necessary in completing the game to clear Talons if there is a never ending supply of NPC enemies filling power vacuums while you are trying to move forward.
I am actually so happy and yet also remorseful after watching this video... I had always envisioned that a Batman game with the nemesis system from Shadow of Mordor/War would probably be like the hit of the decade, the nemesis system is so alive and just... fit a Gotham game about trying to take down an underworld of villains, even more than it could ever fit LOTR in my opinion.
Hopefully WB finally commits to making a game with it, or they allow someone else who has the balls enough to use the nemesis system to make what would probably be the game of the century

@@yaldabraxas Not sure what it has to do with the lore of the game, but ok. I played through the commander mode, couple of the missions took a few tries but overall not to bad if you don't care for the mission rating at the end, which shouldn't affect lore stuff anyways...
@@s.w.4409 To get to the lore you need finish the map first to be able to freely walk around. I dunno. I felt burnt out after one full walkthrough.

But it'd still suck as the ending of Arkham Knight everyone knows Bruce Wayne is Batman so they'd know every Batman would be related to him. Which is why knights ending is a POS

I don't believe that they shut down an in-development game just because of leaks. I have avidly played the Arkham games (which in turn made me want to start collecting the seminal Batman graphic novels) and I hadn't heard of this stuff.
And now it may never happen ever again because head of the Arkham series left Rocksteady now

Me watching this video back after just getting done playing Arkham Asylum for the first time in like three years on PlayStation five and I did a speed run and solved most of the riddles that normally when I first started playing when the game first came out would take me months to get

Asylum completed 3-4 times loved it same with city origins was great aswell really enjoyed it Arkham knight Is the only one I finished once I was very disappointed

100% random but for some reason Ive always thought that the City suit looked a lot like the Clooney suit in the face of the cowl and his jaw too, especially when he does certain expressions. Maybe I'm just crazy lol

Imo Arkham City is the ending. Origins is the beginning considering it’s a prequel but the series ends in Arkham City for me. Arkham Knight felt like the weakest story wise

Definitely agree with this. I think people are looking back at Knight with rose tinted glasses now that SS has released. Arkham knight got sooo much hate when it first launched.
@@joeylawrence3865 even though it was the weakest Arkham game it is miles better than anything else put after it. At the very least they genuinely put care into it. It’s still a good game I just didn’t like it as a conclusion to the Arkham series.
We’re regressing even further now, soon they’ll be people saying that asylum was where the Arkham saga ended.

I liked the story for the canceled game, especially in terms of lore. Regarding what happened in SS:KTJL, I must admit I was surprised by the freedom they were given to develop the story. However, upon seeing the story leaks (ironically) post-lunch, I'm saddened by what they have done. It seems they added a "surprise" element just for the sake of it, and any further developments will only make it appear as though they are trying to fix things rather than asserting that this was their vision from the beginning.
curious if that nemesis system is going to be repurposed in SSKtJL, seeing as there are rival taunts in the game

This wouldve been so epic. And wuldve been awesome to see how the city has changed. Maybe even finally let us go see and explorer places we had been before but now in the future like the asylum and arkham city which i woildve always wondered what had happened to these places after arkham city and knight. Couldve been so cool.
All we wanted after Arkham Knight was Rocksteady to give us Superman's time in the big open world triple AAA title field
But sadly, Insomniac gave Spider-Man that and the two Arkham successors we get ended up failing
