Hi! I use equal parts 6c and 8c on a level 5 neutral brunette client. She has one streak on her widows peak of 75% white hair that is VERYYY resistant. She wants 100% coverage and wants that streak to match the rest of her copper. Should I be using 7CN on the streak? Thanks 💜
Hi VelvtHamr! One of the Natural series shades should be incorporated into all gray coverage formulations for 100% gray coverage. Based on the formula you currently use, 7CN is a great choice! The mixing ratio remains one-part color + one-part developer (1:1). Processing time for gray coverage is 40 minutes.
Thank you for the informative video! I recently switched to Kenra from a box dye that I heard was really bad for you. I love my hair jet black or as black as it can be. I have a few greys maybe 15 strands that I aim to cover along my hairline area and side part. I used 1N and 9 volume developer 1:2, but some of my greys now have a copper color tint to it. Did I do something wrong that I can correct? Would going 1:1 help or do I need another set/color added in?
Oh wow I thought you would have to use the natural series in addition to the NB and G formula he mixed for her new growth. Great information. Keep ‘em coming Kenra. I love the education!
@Leticia B Nice Video! Forgive me for chiming in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you researched - Dinanlinson Bright Colour Approach (search on google)? It is a good one off guide for learning how to get your natural hair color back without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 got cool results with it.
Lovely Video! Sorry for butting in, I would love your opinion. Have you ever tried - Dinanlinson Bright Colour Approach (do a google search)? It is a smashing exclusive product for learning how to get your natural hair color back without the normal expense. Ive heard some decent things about it and my work buddy at last got cool results with it.
thank you for sharing your valuable information i have Q.she is in level 4n in roots and mid to ends 5n and for refreshing application use 6G +9vol. how can the hair take a color with high level (6G) while the mid to ends is 5n (color doesn't lift color)?
Hi! This client's hair was slightly lighter on the mid-lengths to ends. The goal of using 6G in Demi-permanent on this portion of the hair is to even the canvas color while keeping bright reflective shine and a seamless melt into the root color.
I want to train with Kenra colors how do I attend a class. I have had my license for 26 years but never practice and now starting at home with friends and family. Colored a friend watching you and Jamie Dana and turned out beautiful.
Hi there! Porosity Equalizing Spray is made to assist color services-- and not all leave-ins are created equal! The spray is not required in order to have success; it is a tool to help for specific circumstances that could use additional support. We would only recommend using Porosity Equalizing Spray for that purpose. We hope that helps!
Thank you very much for this video. Because i still need to learn a lot doing grey coverage. Please, upload more grey coverage.. In the meantime, i have question about mixing Color. Let’s say, My client wants 7B with 75% of grey hair, how do I formulate the color,? 7B+7A+7N+20V? How do i mix with all these colors?
Hello! Anything with N as the first letter can be used for gray coverage. Depending on the starting level, you could use 75% 7NB + 25% 7B + 20vol. If you are worried about too much warmth showing through in the lifting process, you could switch to 7NA rather than 7N or 7NB. We hope this helps!
Hey Lyd! There could be many factors that could potentially cause hot roots, but a few main points to make sure to hit when using Kenra Professional permanent color for full coverage is to mix the appropriate color at the desired level at a measured 1:1 ratio with Kenra Color 20 volume developer unless additional lift is needed. Process without heat for 30-40 minutes. Make sure to have the N series as part of your formulation based on the percentage of gray. If you have done all of these things and are still having issues, we'd love to further assist. Please email us at customercare@kenraprofessional.com for more information.
Oooops! Message went without finishing what I was saying. At times I get gret results then suddenly I get hot roots.I will consider your advice with Kenra products and let you know what happens. Thanks a lot again Sir/Mam for your help.I appreciate it very much.
Just what I needed Sir.Thank you so much. What happens when it's 75 % gray and red color regrowth.Do I go xith red color kenra and start on regrowth first or the nid to ends and go to the gray to deposit color with 10 volume ? I' m confused. Pls. help me in this area.
Hi Lyd! Let's say your client gets her hair colored with 6R. For a root retouch on 75% gray, the formula would need to be 75% 6N and 25% 6R mixed at a 1:1 ratio with 20vol and applied to the regrowth for up to 40 minutes. The hair that has already been previously colored can be refreshed with 6R in demi-permanent with 9vol at a 1:2 ratio for up to 25 minutes. Let us know if this helps to clarify the process or how else we can assist!

Hi! If the ends have faded demi and you'd like to refresh them, you can simply have the demi color reapplied at your next salon visit without any damage to the hair! We hope this helps!
Hi Sean! This is hair that has grown out over time. We cover just the roots with permanent color here to save time and product. If you'd like to refresh the mids and ends, we recommend using the same or a similar formula in demi-permanent color using a bottle applicator for fast and easy application.
5 is the color level of your natural hair color and nb is the natural brown you must use your natural color to cover gray and whatever the target color is. If you use just the target color on the hair you will not cover gray. I'm a licensed hairstylist so I know hair color.

why you choosing a 6G for refreshing application while she have darker level 5n than the 6G ?

@@KenraProfessional thanks for explaining 😊❤❤❤
What is 5g colour
How long these colour stay..??
4-6 weeks
what if ends have faded with demi
Hi! If the ends have faded demi and you'd like to refresh them, you can simply have the demi color reapplied at your next salon visit without any damage to the hair! We hope this helps!
Can you not just dye it all? Would that not save time?
If you use the same colour everytime?
Hi Sean! This is hair that has grown out over time. We cover just the roots with permanent color here to save time and product. If you'd like to refresh the mids and ends, we recommend using the same or a similar formula in demi-permanent color using a bottle applicator for fast and easy application.
Why did you select 5 nb instead of 5n?
5 is the color level of your natural hair color and nb is the natural brown you must use your natural color to cover gray and whatever the target color is. If you use just the target color on the hair you will not cover gray. I'm a licensed hairstylist so I know hair color.
