This is very Nice! I thought the video footage on eos m was always really shaky and unusable if you filmed while moving as the camera has no stabilization built in. How do you manage to make the footage a stable as this? Did you fix it in post using Davinci? Thanks
Thanks a lot! The EOS M has no in body stabilisation. You can however use the 18-55mm kit lens that has stabilisation. I mostly used the kit lens in this video and finished it off with stabilisation in Davinci.
Thanks! Very simple. I shoot when the sun is low so everything looks great out of the camera. I like it natural. I edit the colors within MLV app. I got through all the individual clips and grade them one by one. Takes time, but it's worth it. Then I export everything in Apple Proress 444. Then I tweak the colors within Davinci to make everything look similar. It's kinda hard to get everything matching due to different lighting scenarios in each clip, but it kinda works.
Nail focus and exposure. Film "everything", but keep it short. 10 seconds clips. Any longer clips could make it a little boring. Film wide, near, close-up and ultra close up. Keep it simple and keep the camera steady. No stabilisation in lens = tripod, or very steady neckstrap movement. All movements in a car, walking, or in my case skiing, you need to use a lens with stabilisation. Many shots gets ruined due to shaky footage. The 18-50mm kit lens is still a beast. Use it for these types of scenarios. Respect the people or whatever you film. Ask for permission before or after you film. The story of your film will be the trip itself, but you could try to make the storytelling artsy or a little bit extra interesting. Get inspiration from other filmmakers before you go. I'd highly recommend Natalie Lynn. And most importantly have a good time!
@@mhimagist7132 Wow, thanks for the kind words. Really appreciate it! I've really tried to get the cleanest footage possible with this camera. On my next project I'm going to try and mix it up with some grain and see how that works. A mix between clean footage and film emulation 😎
Good work! It gave me a very relaxing feeling.👍
Thanks a lot! That's what we did all Christmas. Just relaxing 😎🎄
One of the best videos I've seen where you can see the true potential of the Canon EOS M. Good job man! ;)
Thanks for the kind words. Not so sure about the best, but it's getting better and better for each time.
