Thanks for watching! If you're interested, check out my COMC store to see the cards I'm selling. Make me an offer, and I'll sell you some cards at discount :) www.comc.com/Users/EagleMan_TradingCards
Dude. I've got like a billion cards and I'm prepping my very first submission for COMC. I really have to thank you for taking the time to make these graphs, notably the sliding fee scale. Really sharp work.
Is there a better company like this, but for auction cards? Like, is there one where i can submit a lot of $0.25 - $2.00 cards but have them auctioned? I plan to submit a lot from case breaks. Like 30 Base Rookie cards of same player. I don't necessarily want to list all of them for the lowest possible price just to sell. Would like to maximize my profits.
Great video with lots of information! Personally I feel COMC would be best if you intend to buy/sell within the site and for the most part keeping all your money onsite. I have no issue selling cards on eBay and ESUS shipping is a breeze especially with the $20 insurance it comes with. Fees on eBay as you know are roughly 12% and I cannot find anything hidden aside from that. I can photograph/list about 30 cards per hour and there are others who can do double/triple what I can. I appreciate all the info you laid out in this video as I have gone back and forth with the thought of consigning!
Thanks for the comment! I appreciate you watching the video. There will be pros and cons to using any middle-man and I think COMC and eBay are more or less 50/50 when it comes to that. Suppose you can't go wrong with either!
Great vid, very balanced. I also use Comc and agree it is worth the money they charged, especially for higher priced cards. Just to mention also there is a $2.00 fee when you make an Ebay auction for Elite service. Also on my last submission it took 117 days before the first cards started to appear.
Such a valuable video. You should do a part two of you doing your maintenance on your stock and such on the site to show how it works. I was wondering, what if you have a lot of stuff that’s been there over a year like rarer base or less favored players? Is there a way to group all the cards in one final sale or auction, or would you ship the stale stock back to get rid of / donate it all?
I've watched a few of your COMC videos today -- great stuff. Really appreciate the details you share. I've been a modest seller on eBay for a couple of years now and looking forward to trying COMC for just the types of cards you recommend.
great breakdown, they are doing grading now, we absolutely love it! the process is so smooth.....regarding the submission fee, if you go right to auction theres no sub fee, only a 3.5% back end auction fee. the storage fee, can be eliminated by 50.00 a month , COMC wants higher end cards, I've noticed the more expensive cards I send in the better I do
Thanks for the in-depth and informative video! As someone who is mostly selling more low-end cards myself, I am not sure the amount of fees they charge is worth it. All of those on top of the actual price I paid for the card itself would make my margins razor thin. Selling on eBay/Mercari may mean the wait time is longer but the fees are less plus I am not paying any shipping costs. Anyway, really appreciate the video!
just came across your video then checked your COMC store and noticed we both have the same Albert Pujols card on there and your's is listed at a cent lower than mine lol
great video, i have been using COMC as well with similar results. Wondering (have not looked at your inventory yet) are you doing base cards? For example are you sending in Mosaic 2022 Rogers, Herbert, AJ Brown etc.....or are you donating those? I am sturggling what to do with base cards....any suggestions?
Hi! Thanks for watching and great question. I typically send in only inserts and parallels (you can see exactly what I submit in my COMC sub videos) but if I have a nice base card that is worth about $1 or more I’ll send that in too! As long as the value of the card is about $1 or more I’ll send it in
The submission fees are what they are, but in order to pay that fee, you get charged sales tax. That doesnt make sense to me at all. COMC doesnt consider the submission fees as a service - that should be changed
A bit confused - regarding submission fees. Do I get charged first or can it be taken out post sale? Example - submit 100 cards at .50 per card. Do I pay $50 before they are even listed or can it be taken paid from the actual sales revenue?
Great question! Unfortunately it’s a flat fee that has to be paid up front. You can’t wait for the cards to be sold to pay for that fee. If you submit 100 you’d have to pay $50 up front before they can be listed for sale. Hope that helps!
Awesome information! I am brand new to COMC and just sent my first submission of 50 PSA graded cards (Mostly all 10's and rookies) that range in between $50 - $500 in price this morning. If all goes well, I will send in the rest of my 300+ PSA card collection. Thanks again for such a detailed vid on CCOMC!
Thanks for all the info. Is the 1 Cent per card fee for cards that are 75 cents before or after shipping is included ? For example, if I list a card for 65 cents, it auto adds 25 cents which shows as 90 cents. Will I be charged the 1 cent per card per month in this scenario or am I okay b/c card was listed as 65 cents ? Thanks again for your help
This is a great question that I should have clarified better! Thanks for asking. I’m fairly certain the charges only apply to cards that are listed at 75 cents before the shipping charges are applied. So your card that you listed at 65 cents and then auto added the 25 cents for shipping would NOT apply. Hope this helps!
I was going to submit 200 cards to COMC to try it but when I went in to pay for my submission fees, it was going to also change me for tax which was 8%. Is this correct or is there another way to pay? Doesn't make sense to change me tax when Im not buying something. Thanks
I spent a bit of time going back and forth with Customer Service and that is their policy. It makes no sense to me that you would pay sales tax on a service.
If I just listed it, I’ll let it sit for awhile even if it’s not the lowest price. If a card hasn’t sold in awhile, I’ll adjust the price accordingly. Same goes for offers, I’ll hold off on accepting offers right away on cards I just listed but I’ll accept offers in cards I’ve had sitting for awhile.
The cash out fee is absolutely ridiculous. Evening out the paypal fees, I don't see an issue with that. But 10 percent is just dumb. The convenience factor is nice. I don't mind the 50 cent listing and 5 percent fee on top. Even the 5 percent for buying and 1 percent storage. All reasonable. But that cash out fee is borderline illegal.
It’s amazing the staggering amount of money people will pay for convenience. I’ve been selling on eBay for 24 years. The fees make me cringe. But kudos to them for finding a need and supplying the service. It’s a great site for set fillers and if you can wait 2+ months to get your cards. Their picture quality is rough on eBay and has anyone looked at their eBay feedback? You’re paying for convenience.
You left out a fee, COMC will report you to the IRS when you cash out, you will get the 1099 form, lol. So, add in the fee of the IRS and the taxes you will pay and the extra form either you or your CPA will have to add to your taxes, and you get charge per form when filing taxes. :) The main reason I watched this video was to see if COMC reports you if you choose the ACH transfer, it says they report you when you choose the check option, but an ACH transfer is an electronic check, so I'm not sure.
Also, have you sorted out a way to run a promotion on a single player for example? I can't figure that out.......example: do a deep discount on Zach Wilson and get out of inventory and just him
@@EagleMan_TradingCards yeah, I’ve gotta give it a shot. I just ripped over 40 Prizm and Select mega boxes. I’ve got all the cards that I want to get graded but I’ve literally got hundreds of cards not worth grading that would take me days to post on eBay. This has to be a better alternative.
Yes, people do sell comics on COMC! As of right now there are over 18,000 unique comic books listed for sale. I’m assuming people wouldn’t send them in if they didn’t at least have a good potential to sell! But I also don’t know much about comics. Feel free to check out the COMC site for yourself and see some previous sales.
Thanks for sharing this great deep dive into the COMC site- just found your channel my friend - I have over 300 videos up on my channel about the site :) Full Watch ! Great Content
And to make you pay the submission fee before hand is the killer. Noway would I pay them upfront for anything for them to make money of my property. No way no how. That's why comc is a rip-off and noone should use them to be honest
Yeah I was Indecisive on whether or not to define shipping as a fee. Still not sure how to define it. You could use COMC even without having to ship cards but I decided to ship them for convenience. Again, still up in the air for me. :)
If you’re looking for straight cash, might not be the best. If you’re looking to just get rid of tons of cheap cards, then absolutely do it. Or, if you’re looking to sell cards then buy more cards from COMC, then I think it’s also worth it.
So you basically made a grand out of the 2k so after the cost of the card. You dont make shit to sell on comc unless the cards you list you got for free
Thanks for watching! If you're interested, check out my COMC store to see the cards I'm selling. Make me an offer, and I'll sell you some cards at discount :)

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been using COMC for yrs
And have never been charged for storage
Dude. I've got like a billion cards and I'm prepping my very first submission for COMC. I really have to thank you for taking the time to make these graphs, notably the sliding fee scale. Really sharp work.
I'm at the stage of "do I just stop being lazy or try comc" 😏
Is there a better company like this, but for auction cards?

I plan to submit a lot from case breaks. Like 30 Base Rookie cards of same player.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Great analysis of your profit percentages as well.
Great video, great breakdown of the pros & cons. Based on it, I'm going to start listing cards on COMC... thanks!
Amazing video! Really appreciate you breaking down the data for us.
So much work into this video and it shows thanks for sharing
Dude. Cheers to you. You’ve absolutely helped me in deciding wether or not if I’m going to use COMC. excellent breakdown of fees etc. super helpful.
Thank you! And thanks for watching :) glad you enjoyed!
So what's your plan?

Great video! I have recently thought about using COMC, and this answers a ton of questions.
Glad it was somewhat helpful! Thanks for watching :)
I am really thinking about starting to sell through comc, so this video was extremely helpful. Thanks!
COMC beats Ebay

The margins do end up being razor thin, you're right. As long as you're a patient person, your method seems to be the right way!
Thanks so much for this, man. That's really great of u...
just came across your video then checked your COMC store and noticed we both have the same Albert Pujols card on there and your's is listed at a cent lower than mine lol
Don’t take it personal 😂 I often do that for most of my listings haha

Great job on the video.10:25 really shows that investors should be elling things exclusively in the $5+ range
Is this the best place to move all the base cards piling up? I have thousands taking up space.
Good breakdown.
Dealbreaker for me is they charge you a 10 percent vig to get your own money out.
how much does it cost you to buy 1202 cards that you sent to COMC?
Can anyone tell me if com C gives you A 1099 at the end of the year...
I was going to submit 200 cards to COMC to try it but when I went in to pay for my submission fees, it was going to also change me for tax which was 8%. Is this correct or is there another way to pay? Doesn't make sense to change me tax when Im not buying something. Thanks

What is your strategy using comc list cards and let them sit or being the lowest price listed?

Same goes for offers, I’ll hold off on accepting offers right away on cards I just listed but I’ll accept offers in cards I’ve had sitting for awhile.
I'm seeing on their site they do offer ACH, check, wire etc. confused why you are saying you can't be paid that way. Am I missing something?
The cash out fee is absolutely ridiculous. Evening out the paypal fees, I don't see an issue with that. But 10 percent is just dumb.
The convenience factor is nice. I don't mind the 50 cent listing and 5 percent fee on top. Even the 5 percent for buying and 1 percent storage. All reasonable. But that cash out fee is borderline illegal.
Good stuff bro.
Do you have to list the condition of the card or does comc do that for you?
It’s amazing the staggering amount of money people will pay for convenience. I’ve been selling on eBay for 24 years. The fees make me cringe. The 10% cash out fee is reason I dont touch it. With that its much more expensive than eBay.
So if a card is 50 cents to a dollar younactually lose money
Also, have you sorted out a way to run a promotion on a single player for example? I can't figure that out.......example: do a deep discount on Zach Wilson and get out of inventory and just him
Do they send u a 1099? If so, at what amount of sales?
You can use advanced reselling mode. You can buy a card for as low 1 cents. As long you don’t send the card at home
Yes I did not mention that but you're right! Awesome advantage to resell cards!
Thanks for talking me outta it without trying too, it's a rip off
I was all in on doing this until you got to the cash-out part. 10% of my money that has been nailed with tons of fees already is absolute bullshit!
The cash out is ridiculous, but I use COMC to purchase cards as well so it works out for me.
At $0.50 per card, is it worth submitting commons?
No
Thanks boss. This was very helpful. 🌰 O.H.
I.O. Thanks for watching, glad it helped :)
Has anybody tried selling comics on COMC? Do people on there actually buy them?
Yes, people do sell comics on COMC! As of right now there are over 18,000 unique comic books listed for sale. What alternative is there that won't rip you off?
Storage fee is for over .75 cents not at 75 cents. So 76 cents you pay fees.
Gotcha! That’s important to know thank yoh
Fees not bad, those cards you sold could be just sitting in a box in your closet.
Shipping is not a fee. It belongs in this video, but not portrayed as a fee. Not to mention you even said you sent them in multiple shipments.
Yeah I was Indecisive on whether or not to define shipping as a fee. Still not sure how to define it. You could use COMC even without having to ship cards but I decided to ship them for convenience. Again, still up in the air for me. :)
@@EagleMan_TradingCards An expense. The same end result really
So I guess for the 1st submission, i should do all my $40 cards to maximize my return to jumpstart my equity for my account.
I would focus more on the cards that would sell quickly. Higher volume of sales is better than higher equity when you first start.
@EagleMan_TradingCards have you had to return any purchased cards off the site? I can't seem to find anything regarding returns.
And if you wanted to cash out your $1200 that would be another 10% fee so $120 according to COMC site. That’s ridiculous imo
So you have to pay .50 cents upfront on your cards, which they take upfront. 400 cards is like 200 bucks upfront thats stupid
Yeah but they do all the work for you: They scan the cards, process the information and vault it for you for .50 cents. Not bad if you think about it.
He just convinced me to never consign with them
If you’re looking for straight cash, might not be the best. If you’re looking to just get rid of tons of cheap cards, then absolutely do it. Or, if you’re looking to sell cards then buy more cards from COMC, then I think it’s also worth it.
Take picture they have a card scanner it takes 2 seconds to list a card
Do you ever use upperdeck free epack. You can get trade some cards turn it to physical cards. Then transfer it comc
You can get free physical cards on comc
Actually you can get free physical cards on upper Deck then transfer it comc
I've never heard of such a thing, I'll have to look into it. Thanks!
So you basically made a grand out of the 2k so after the cost of the card. You dont make shit to sell on comc unless the cards you list you got for free
I never pay that cause I don't use any of their features and I don't keep high end cards on comc, I only sell cheap cards on there
