Bro thank you. So much of the info you put into this video people fail to talk about when I'm looking at other videos for how to submit to COMC lol, appreciate all the info in one place
Fantastic video. Extremely helpful as I am preparing to submit to COMC for my first time. Sure appreciate you taking the time and energy to create this video!
Honestly, even the dollar cards with a thirty-something percent fee is good... profit is profit. Like you said they handle everything: pictures, description, listing etc... imagine (you probably don't have to imagine if you sell on eBay already) selling a card for a dollar on ebay. You'll spend time trying to take some good pics, writing the description, dealing with customers and their questions or demands, finding the card when it finally sells, buying the packaging supplies, package it, paying shipping (if you provide free shipping), buying the label, taping it on, waste your time and gas driving to the post office, wait in line so they can scan it in, then ebay takes their fees, then a lot of cards lately according to customers arrive damaged or they don't arrive, then you have to refund them, etc... I love comc. Just have to send the cards in and they handle the rest...
I'm new to comc, I have hundreds of $1-$5 cards that I don't have time to list on ebay. This sounds like a good remedy! Do you have to list a price per card? Or do they run them as an auction?
Ya $5 -50 is lower in fees, but if I have a card that is worth like 25 bucks I don’t mind taking my time to list it. It’s those cheap cards I don’t want to list. So it’s a catch 22 thing with ComC, but thanks for the info nice video
New sub here. Thanks for the excellent content. Have a question for you .. the cards you mentioned that didn't sell, were they still possibly going to sell, or did the time for them to sell expire and you just lose the 50 cents on each of them and other associated fees? If so, How long do they have to sell? Can I get a little info on that ? Also, can you view your account info sales etc from Android phone? And how's it going now with your sales? or do you have an update video link? Thank you
Thanks for watching! The cards that didn't sell have slowly been selling as I lower their list prices; but, there are still some unsold. After about another year or so I'll probably end up donating them using the donation feature that COMC has. I think you should be able to view account info and basic sales info on an Android OS. As far as viewing detailed sales history, you'd need an OS that supports downloading and opening CSV files (I'm not familiar if Android allows that). As of right now, my sales have been going really well! With the start of the MLB season, my predominantly baseball stock has been selling very nicely :) I do have an update video that I posted not too long ago and I'm also considering making another update video here shortly! Thanks again for watching! Cheers!
I am sending my first shipment in. I am starting with some graded cards that qualify for auction so that I will not have any out of pocket cost. I will then use that credit to send in some lower value cards.
If you don't have an efficient way to sell $2-$5 cards then a higher % fee is still worthwhile because the cards are sold. With far less time & effort.
Thanks a lot for all of the info! Looks like price threshold is probably one of the most important parts of sending in cards successfully. What do you do with deadwood cards that just sit for a year or more? Do you have them all returned? Can you do a video on storage fees? I would like to know your strategy. Thanks again!
Great video idea! I was already thinking of doing a follow up video to answer a few more questions about the cost and benefits of using COMC. I’m coming up on my first year of my cards being submitted so I’ll have to think of a strategy of what to do with the ones that don’t sell. Thanks!
dude the entire point of comc is to gather all your low value trash cards consolidate them and get rid of it w LOW effort. imagine listing each and every 1000 cards on ebay, take pics , create listing , then if you sell, go to post office and ship (TIME =$$$$) who cares if comc is a couple % more expensive on the low end stuff?
I send in 300 cards a month or so. You dont want to send anything that isnt listed at 2.50 or less as you likely have to run a 10-15 percent off sale, the cards will drop 50 cents while on there in a couple months.. then you pay .50 to list and another 30 cents to sell and cash out. but where else are you gonna unload 300 oddball 2.50 to 10 dollar cards?? with nearly 0 work..
When factoring in the extra time it takes to list on eBay, do you still think cards under 5$ are worth the additional fee%? I have a large order of items under 5$, and like you said, I just want them off the shelves. Selling 600$ for all 900$ sounds great to me right now, if someone offered it to me. Did you sell at discounted prices to sell quickly? Or did you sell at an average price? I am also considering selling quickly, which might mean an additional % off the potential value of the card. But that % would be constant between eBay and comc.
To be fair I did sell mine at slightly more discounted prices. And I will say it saved me a lot of time from listing it on eBay. It’s tough to say which lot would do better, but I would guess COMC would be your best bet still.
@@EagleMan_TradingCards Thanks. I was thinking about signing up for COMC. That was one of the questions I wasn't sure about. That will make it easier. I'll be sure to use your link when I do finally pull the trigger.
Do you sell graded on site or do you think my slabs would be better. For example raw to COMC, graded to My Slabs.. I currently use COMC and my sales definitely slowed down
Hey I enjoy this video and I really enjoy the love and support that the people of the youtube community shows
Thank you! I appreciate the love :) thanks for watching!
Super informative! I am starting to sell Marvel cards on COMC.

Thanks for watching :) I’m glad you were able to get something out of it!

Very good video. Isn't there a 10% fee when you request your money? You did not account for that.
Yes there is! I made a follow up video a few months later and I touched on that note! Thanks for watching :)
Great video man! This was very helpful.
Nice thorough breakdown!
Thank you! :)

@@EagleMan_TradingCards thank you for the info and the update and that is great to hear.

Great idea! I’ve used their auction service before and was pleased :) best of luck!

Exactly! Great point and I agree. Selling cards, although at a higher fee, is much easier through COMC if they are lower value.
Great video, very detailed and informative. The editing was also first rate(no fluff). Thanks and keep up the good work.

Totally agreed! That’s why I use it :)
Just curious , I'm assuming COMC set the price value of your card and curious were they get the price of the card you submit..curious

You’re totally correct! All about volume
Comc is really great , totally deserving the fees paid given the work they do
But you still made 600 and have 2/300 cards left right

The store credit part is killing me, I need the money, not more cards lol can you even cash out?
Do you export the data from COMC or are you tracking manually?
I export the data :) and then write my own excel functions from that data. COMC does a great job tracking all transactions you do

Great video but still curious. Can you do a walk through of what’s done on the website to submit sometime? #content ha
Great idea! I like it :) I’ll definitely consider it
Thanks for a super helpful video. Would you consider publishing your spreadsheet so others in the hobby can use it? Thanks!

Comc is only good if you live out of the country. Better off doing it yourself.
