yeah you’re right , that’s a great combination gear ratio. seems like a fun ratio to ride. surprising that clutch is using metal on metal - i wonder why they do that. .
Love the videos! Any chance we will see the Coleman ct200u with the zip tie different rear sprocket, and stage 1 kit with the stock 196 off-road? Also do you plan to take the govenor out of it or is the zip tie ok to do long term if your trail riding? Also could you share which app you use for speed tests. Thanks again for all the tips! We will keep watching the vids.
I used the same clutch for more than 20 minutes with lots of anti-seize and it pretty near weld itself to the shaft. it's a great clutch for gear ratio but a waste because there is no brass bushing.
Don't know if I'd feel comfortable running that clutch with no bushing. I might go up a tooth in order to have room for a bushing, and add a few teeth to the rear to get close to the ratio.
Would you consider putting on a small turbo on one of your mini bikes? I see it done on 4 wheelers and go karts lots but would love to see it done on a bike and to see the results.
have you seen the 224 upgrade kits on ebay? its not billet parts but they have a flat top piston kit that has a Cast 10k rpm flywheel 28 degree advance and Cryogenically Treated Cast Connecting Rod..wondering what you think of it, if its worth or not
Yes, I have seen this kit. A good inexpensive upgrade. That would really be a sweet kit if you spent a little more and added a billet rod. Then you could do whatever mods you wanted to in the future for a lot more RPM .
Thanks! I like it. It's a little more involved when adding aftermarket internals as far as clearancing things. But that's ok. I'll do some more clutch videos .
Putting a 224 in my Coleman 100 just wondering what the specs on the chain and rear sprocket are ? Thanks just want to buy everything right the first time

Will this help my 196cc? I wanna make it faster , I got the fly wheel in the way but wanna know should I change my 12T clutch to this 10T Max-Torque Centrifugal Clutch
@black66 great video 👍. I have a question so I recently installed a torque converter on my Coleman ct200u ex with a modified 212 predator the thing is the torque converter engages pretty late from a stop like it revs up until 4K rpm then it engages and busts a wheelie but if I slowly let onto the throttle it will engage from low rpm Is this normal? I am not sure it is my first torque converter and don’t know what to expect. It is quite scary to ride 😂
@Black66 what sprocket setup do you recommend for a doodlebug with a stock predator 212 and 13inch tires …. Currently has 75 and 12 tooth lookin for a little more top end
If you throw a 15 tooth clutch on there it will have a lot better top end. Ya, it will be less quick, but you can always gain the quickness back later with engine mods.
Fire 265 is better from top to bottom... I have the 🔥 265 cam in my tillioson 212r .. stock pvl flywheel 26mm nibble carburetor.. 26lb valve spring... Stage 4 header pipe.... Straight chain 12 tooth max torque clutch and a 50 tooth stock rear sprocket on a Coleman ct200 ex and I went with 15In tires Man she fly's I did 72 mph.... And she still was pulling.. I ran out of road I'm from Tallahassee Florida..
also is it normal for a newer clutch to get really hot? do you have to break them in? and why every clutch i buy they get super hot and smoke after riding for 2 minutes? and it seems that every clutch i buy the clutch isn’t engaging all the way on take offs. it’s just spins until it grabs then it takes off. can you please help me find a cheap 12 tooth 5/8 clutch for size 40 chain.
Hey I have a 73 sprocket in the back and a new clutch 16 tooth max torque same from this video . But what chain should I get? It seems my chain is hitting the clutch and its also smoking n sparking when I ride

@@tylerchambers5077 Clutches get hot. Especially from a lot of stop and go riding. They do not need broke in. They can also get very hot from improper gearing. Improper gearing is hard on a clutch. The rider can also make the clutch heat up. You can't baby it, you have to throttle it and go. You're not going to find a 12 tooth 5/8 for a 40 chain. I don't think anyone makes them. Sounds like you need to use a 35 chain.
Love the videos !!!! Are you running the wildcat 70mm piston ?
Thanks! No, not in this one.
Ok cool .. so can I use the stock 224 piston with the 6773 rod

surprising that clutch is using metal on metal - i wonder why they do that. .
i know IDK why it's kinda dumb I had mine get almost welded onto the shaft after two rides with lots of anti-seize.
I think that way you only need to replace one at a cheap cost; for better or worse more frequently.

Do all the regular modification parts for the 212 fit the 224? Awesome build btw
The external parts will interchange other wise you have to use clone stuff. Check out this link gokartnerds.com/performance-parts-for-predator-224/
Where did you get your clutch cover from great videos my man
Thanks! Its a 3D motorsport cover from a 3D manual clutch.
You should put the 12 tooth clutch back on.
You know I will. The channel is about testing different combos. Any given combo will last for a couple videos and then its off to something else.
Great content. How you like that 224 engine so far? Could you do a comparison of this clutch vs a hillard extreme duty clutch?

Does the 224 bolt pattern match up with the CC100X or do you need a mounting plate?
It will bolt up on the stock mount but to set the engine more centered for a cleaner install you could drill new holes or add a mounting plate.

Must be out of alignment or something. I try and use RLV gold on gold when I use 35 chain.
Nothing compares to the ysr 50. Why hasn't anyone tried?
does ur chain also sometimes fall off or no ? idk mine does a lot esp 35 chain
It doesn't fall off. I use RLV gold on gold 35 chain.
is that a header or an exhaust if so what is it called because i cant find any headers for my 224cc predator
What jack are you using?? I like that.
Lawnmower lift from Harbor Freight. Thank me now.
That 4 bolt sproket will fit on a stock rear rim mine has 6 bolts in it ?
So you can use anti seize instead of oiling clutch?
Is that frame stock?
Where can we buy this clutch and the back sprocket?
I trust you better with information about mini bikes
I will usually put the links for the parts used in the description of the videos way down at the bottom.
