I think that Onyx Boox software makes their notebooks jump to another level. More practical for the real world and the necessities that you can have every day. RM2 is better only in the writing expierence because is faster but Onyx is not bad and is much better in the rest of options. And you don't depends on a private cloud system. You can work in local mode. I think that an student or professional working with technical documents, taking notes, etc the Onyx Boox tablets, in this moment, should be their main option. I hope that the larger eink screens could drop in price soon, because now are a little high.
@@Fremen1430 yeah I had to get the note air because the max lumi was out of my price range. the note air is cheaper and more versatile than the remarkable 2 and I don't care THAT much about the writing experience.
I recommend using DriveSync from Google to sync your PDF folder with Google Drive. It's two-way syncing; everything you annotated will be automatically synced back to your computer.

Hi! I was wondering what's the result of writing something on an epub book and then changing the format settings (the dimension of the text for example). How does it affect what I've written? Because I think that's different compared to a PDF; the global structure of a PDF it's always the same while on an epub it changes completely if I change the format (lines of text are divided in a new way etc...) @@akramhossain9576 Yes :-) I also figured out a way. I had to go to the storage folder, find the file and long push. From there I could open in Dropbox and place it there for sync. Would like to find a more efficient way with multiple files at once.
I have a Max 3 for over a month now and I am absolutely inlove with it. It is the best reader for technical documents and papers by far. I hope they update the Max 3 with this improvements soon.

Hello, no, it's not possible to do that. Unfortunately, that is a PDF format limitation that is present on many platforms, since Adobe requires $$$ for anyone to be allowed to edit a PDF in such a way. However, it is possible to find PDF editing apps that could allow you to do that, but I'm not sure which definitively allow that, so you'll need to search around.
Can you please show how this integrates with third-party file management such as dropbox or Google Drive? The main reason I would buy this over a remarkable two is seamless sync with Google Drive our dropbox

I know you mentioned how to invert the color on the Max Lumi but I can't find it. I read charts with a black background and it would help alot if I could invert the black to white.
Neoreader won't synchronise even if you want to open the same document, using the same wifi, with your same onyx account on your second or third onyx device. That is not workable for me however nice the paragraph spacing is.
When in split view with notes on the side, do the notes "follow" the text? As in: if you taking notes, then go to the next page the notes page is blank ready for a new set of notes for this page. If it does, when you search you notes, when you go to a search result, does it send you to the right location in the text too? Thanks for the super detailed guide!
On the split screen where you have a book one side and the notepad the other-side. When you take notes on one page of the PDF could you make like 10 pages of notes for the 1 Page Book PDF. And then does that 10 page note reference back to that page of the PDF. Likewise if I write this on page 10 on the same book. Would the notes I make against page 10 auto open when I go to Page 10 of the pdf. Thanks man...
One thing that was not apparent to me, though I might just have missed it: does Neoreader support either full left/right justification or flush left/ragged right, at the user's option?
You need to close the file in onyx before rewriting from computer with updated notes/anotations etc. Because when onyx reader dosnt refresh file when you importing but saves opened over the updated. Hope this helps :)
My Deep Guide I am referring 31:35 from the video (pc to onyx). If the file is not closed on onyx when you made “pc to onyx” it will practically will not update well.
That's a subjective assessment, but for me yes. Especially when you take into consideration that you can install Kindle App on it and use the Kindle reader and library that you already have, if you so choose.
Has someone expirienced issues with epub or azw3 and German ebooks? I imported the books in both formats, and in either one there a word duplicating. I looked online, if someone else had the same issues, but couldn't find anything yet. Obviously the PDF is fine.
Nice review. If you download a regular Adobe PDF document, would you have the same level of customization, such as changing font size? Or, is there some protection in an Adobe file that prevents that? I have the Remarkable 1. But when I download PDF files to the Remarkable the font size is too small for me to comfortably read or annotate. Thanks for the help!
Thank you. You can reflow PDF files in the Neo Reader. If you have access to a dedicated PDF editor app that runs on Android, chances are that it would work the same way it would work on any other Android tablet.

All of them have the same exact capabilities. Max Lumi is a larger format and has an HDMI input. However, Max Lumi, Note 3, Note Air and Nova 3 all have the same exact functionality, since they run the same OS system. If you don't know what PDF reflow means i would suggest some more further research to know better what it is exactly that you are looking for, so that you know how to choose the product you need :)

In my case I have cancelled my order of rm2 and order the lumi instead. And I really dont regret this decision. The lumi has hundreds of functions more than the rm. But Maybe this could be a small Problems from time to time when getting familiar with the lumi. Well I have a question to you and hopefully you or one of the other users can help me. Especially when I am using the Split Mode I scrible on the second note my annotations. But it could be also very usefull to mark some Text files in the left document and to copy this marked files in order to paste it on the right note. Hi there, could the problem of the PDF compatibility between desktop and reader (and vice-versa) not be solved by using a different pdf reader? One that has proper desktop and android compatibility. As far as I know there is no Neoreader desktop version.
I'd wait for Note Air to see how that one is. Also, it does really depends on what the use may be. I am planning to do a video later this year where I do a roundup of which device is best for what type of use case scenario and which are best ones in 2020, for different categories. However, I first will do reviews of the QuirkLogic Papyr, Supernote A6X and Note Air and maybe Quadreno (if I can get it) so that I can cover the most important releases of the year.
You should review "color e-ink tablet" that could really replace not only the tablets for reading (no eye fatigue) but also the school notebooks. One tablet for videos and work and other for note taking and reading.
Neo reader is a magnificent machine. I think they will do good investment if they put it in Android store as paid version for regular tablets (not only eink) . They will hit other reading apps hard.
I'm now a bit concerned, I ordered the Lumi but I've seen users saying that it doesn't have pinch and zoom, but the Max 3 had a very snappy zoom, correct?
That's not correct, you just need to enable it in the reader setting, General Settings, there is an option called "Enable Pinch-To-Zoom" and then it works as you'd expect it to :)
If you open a PowerPoint in MS Office on the Lumi does it still have the same resolution issue as when you open it in NeoReader or is it as clear as when you export it as a PDF?
Viewing notes is fine, but don't expect to be able to use the stylus to write in OneNote. This application isn't really optimized for e-ink so there is a lot of lag when using the pen.
Hello Voja, i recently recieved the lumi. And while it's amazing, it's crashing consistently during note taking and causing me to lose the data if i didn't save frequent enough. Have you had this problem with your device?
Nope, not a single crash. Are you running some 3rd party apps in the background while taking notes? Maybe they are causing the issue? Either way, I'd contact the Boox support, as they are usually quite helpful and forthcoming.

You are able to Google specs yourself and see that both have the same resolution. There are so many close up examples of text in my videos, that I don't understand why would you ask the text sharpness question...
@@MyDeepGuide Don't be such a cantankerous little Gnome. Even with close ups on UA-cam it can be difficult to see exactly what text looks like to the naked eye. You should already know that.
So, someone saying "yes" is better than you actually seeing the font resolution and the image quality for yourself at 4K close up all the way until you can see the "pixels"? Footage provided in the videos is more than sufficient for anyone to receive an answer to the question you asked.
What "reader" is this? A native app? What format is the "book" that you picked? This video needs some background information to establish context. Just a few words at the beginning would be very helpful.
How about reading the title of the video where it says "part 3 of 5" and reading the video description where the playlist link for the whole series is listed and actually checking if you might have gotten something wrong before assuming that the other person did. Bare minimum.
Like onyx devices... but there are 3 reasons cannot enjoy it fully. 1. Privacy and risk of spying from China hackers and etc. So just for doodling and not all notes just not important- it not can be part of my full workflow. 2. Problems with onyx Boox nova display under sunlight (I have poke 2 max 3 and nova 2) 3. Glassy feel Frankly all other devices cannot make me happy too 🤓

Does handwriting conversion function support Polish characters (like ż, ź, ć, ł, ń ...) ?

If you mean and accelerometer for automatic rotation / orientation, no. Only Note Air has that from their current range of devices.

I am trying to decide between the Max Lumi and the Fujitsu. I ma curious to find out whether the Fujitsu has the same split screen, editing, formatting, annotations, etc as the Max Lumi. If it does, it's great because it has the Eink Carta 1250.

Does the Max Lumi have a higher PPI than the Papyr? Is the text grainy or sharp? Thanks
You are able to Google specs yourself and see that both have the same resolution.
There are so many close up examples of text in my videos, that I don't understand why would you ask the text sharpness question...
@@MyDeepGuide Don't be such a cantankerous little Gnome. Even with close ups on UA-cam it can be difficult to see exactly what text looks like to the naked eye. You should already know that.
So, someone saying "yes" is better than you actually seeing the font resolution and the image quality for yourself at 4K close up all the way until you can see the "pixels"? Footage provided in the videos is more than sufficient for anyone to receive an answer to the question you asked.

What "reader" is this? A native app? What format is the "book" that you picked? This video needs some background information to establish context. Just a few words at the beginning would be very helpful.
How about reading the title of the video where it says "part 3 of 5" and reading the video description where the playlist link for the whole series is listed and actually checking if you might have gotten something wrong before assuming that the other person did. Bare minimum.
Like onyx devices... but there are 3 reasons cannot enjoy it fully.
1. Privacy and risk of spying from China hackers and etc. So just for doodling and not all notes just not important- it not can be part of my full workflow.
2. Problems with onyx Boox nova display under sunlight (I have poke 2 max 3 and nova 2)
3. Glassy feel
Frankly all other devices cannot make me happy too 🤓
