this is great. you must spend a lot of time and forward planning to get all this done for the entire week. i hope to be this planned ahead as a teacher. im in year 2 taking it day by day
A lot of us have to submit weekly lesson plans to our administrators. Some have a very collaborative teaching team where each teacher takes on developing plans only for specific days or specific subjects, so that helps. Whereas I'm a specials teacher who is the only teacher for my subject & teaches across 4 to 5 grades, so that's a pipe dream! 😢
Michelle thank you so much for making this video! I have loved your slides and how you structured your school day with them for as long as you have shared them. I have created a similar system and purchased your Slides in 2022 but have waited *patiently* for a tutorial. I am now ready to take the plunge! So glad that you are back in the classroom and hoping your joy carries on all year.
This is awesome! You have nailed it! Your math slides are incredible! Your students will kick butt in math this year! Your bitmoji is a perfect representation of who you are! Your students are so lucky to have you as a teacher and you are so lucky to have what seems to be incredible students!!
Loved the video. I already have your google slides, but can you also include a template of your Eureka slides. I'm sure many other teachers would be interested in buying your slides.
Thank you for this much needed reminder of how Google Slides can be used to guide your whole day. I am back to teaching reading but during the pandemic I taught Pre-K and "Virtual" Kindergarten (Yikes, I do not recommend virtual with 4 and 5 year olds but we survived it, lol!). I used slides for both pre-k and kindergarten but when I returned to teach reading only I stopped using slides to organize my teaching day. This video of yours reminded me why I loved it when I did use them years ago. Thank you! And...by the way, I learned to make my slides back then from your tutorial videos that were SO helpful - especially for an older teacher like me that is technologically challenged. So, thank you, thank you, thank you again! Stacy S.
Hi, Michelle! Your slides look fantastic!!! They are so clear, detailed, and informative. I also loved the Scott's Tots video clip at the beginning. Hehe! I hope you have an amazing week ahead! 💜
I really loved this video! I think the thing that I was most amazed by was that you have textbooks and workbooks still. I’m in Ontario Canada and it has been years since we have had either. Basically we are given the curriculum, suggested long range plans from the Ministry of Education and for the most part are left to develop our own program to teach it.
Thank you!! What days or how do you plan them out week to week. Like do you create them 2 weeks in advance or on certain days of the week for the next week?
Love the video! I just came here to say as a math teacher using Eureka in Texas for the first time, your math slides would be REALLY HELPFUL! Are we able to purchase these?
How do you make an automated insert like to press enter and enter it later on the slide so students don’t see it right away? You do this on the multiplication fluency slide. I can do it in PPT but not sure how in Google Slides?
Hi Michelle I love your videos and TpT. However I purchased your colorful slides from on TpT and they will not open on my Mac. Could you please email the file? Appreciate it!
Hello! I bought the template in hopes it would have the "Table of Contents" slide that are hyperlinked to other slides but this is actually not included in the resource. How do I get the table of contents feature?
All you need to do is move the black boxes (which I showed in this video) and then add links to each one! It isn’t included because it would depend on the number you need.
How do you annotate with a pen tool on Google slides? We have Promethean boards and can’t find a way to ‘write’ with the pen on the slide, then go back to the slideshow. Any ideas?
I work in Texas too, I remember someone in my career saying it is pronounced with the short e, but people just kept saying teks with the long e so it just stuck.

It took me until iteration 3 teaching the same thing to get to that point!

Michelle, can you explain what each of the little pictures stands for on the side of your slides and where they link to? I love this!
Love the slides I do ours to for my team. I like the connections you make with slides. Great idea! 😊
Do you ever run out of space in your Google drive since you’re making multiple slides for each week? This is the issue I am encountering.
Loved the video. I already have your google slides, but can you also include a template of your Eureka slides. I'm sure many other teachers would be interested in buying your slides.

🎉🎉 congratulations on surviving pandemic kindergarten! Huge accomplishment!!

Thanks for continuing to share! Thanks for teaching adults, too, still.

Also in Ontario and really feeling this struggle. We are forced to be curriculum developers essentially!
Same in VT. Textbooks are a thing of the past….. frustrating as kids don’t have that resource at home to support homework struggles
Hey Michele! Two questions. What website do you use to find your icons. Also, what do you use to edit your bitmoji
Hi Michelle! Wondering what your small group math lessons/rotations look like if you implement them?
Thank you!! What days or how do you plan them out week to week. Like do you create them 2 weeks in advance or on certain days of the week for the next week?
You are rocking the slides... wowzu
Will you be adding the Eureka slides to TpT?
I teach 5th grade math using Eureka...I'm curious what you do for homework...and why did you decide to do weekly vs. daily homework. Thanks!
Do you also have to lesson plan also or are your slides your lesson plans?
Hey how do you make the icons on the bottom of your slides to click on to link to other slides? (Picture ones)
Thank you!! I'm new to my district and slides are used for teaching. I needed this ❤😊
I LOOOOVE your top!
You are amazing! ❤
We have active inspire at our school , what are the pros and cons of using Google slides versus active inspire?
Love those slides! Kudos
Just here to add I’d love to buy your eureka/science slides 😌
How current is this that the day was Friyay Sep 24th? Wow! Looking forward to your workout routine.
Love the video! I just came here to say as a math teacher using Eureka in Texas for the first time, your math slides would be REALLY HELPFUL! Are we able to purchase these?
Phonomenal, as always...I wish there were more than only 1 "thumbs up" buttons! THANK YOU!
Love google slides! Thanks for sharing!
Hi! Several templates you show in this video are not in your TPT resource such as your home slide, module list, daily reminders, etc. Please advise.
The math slides.. how long does it take you to get through? Once you get to the end, is math over? Trying to see if these slides would work for me
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing! Just curious, how long are your math and science blocks each day?
Wow! It must be nice once the slides are created, but that’s a lot of work!
How do you make an automated insert like to press enter and enter it later on the slide so students don’t see it right away? You do this on the multiplication fluency slide. I can do it in PPT but not sure how in Google Slides?
Do you have a set of the morning routine slides on tpt?
Do you create a separate set or make copies to post on Google Classroom with the lessons, or are these for projection only?
These are for projection only!
Do you type over it to update the content every week? What if I want to use those same lessons next year?
Nooo… I create the set of slides for the entire until to reuse next year! I don’t type over it 👍🏼
Hi Michelle

Well Michelle,
If it works for you and your students, do it.
With that said, I am happy to see Your Bitmoji again.

Can you tell me how to move images in slides
How do you annotate with a pen tool on Google slides? We have Promethean boards and can’t find a way to ‘write’ with the pen on the slide, then go back to the slideshow. Any ideas?
I have a Promethean board as well. For my PDF, I press the annotate button and then once done, I exit and it lets me move the PDF again.
WHY is teks pronounced teeks with a long e and not a short e?!! LOL
I work in Texas too, I remember someone in my career saying it is pronounced with the short e, but people just kept saying teks with the long e so it just stuck.
Not a teacher, but I do help kids sometimes. What the heck are TEKS?
Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. We have them for every subject and every grade level for K-12 public schools.
