The Axial SCX10 III platform changed the game for the scale-crawler community when it released back in the beginning of 2020. With the introduction of the Jeep JT Gladiator later that year, the bar was raised yet again. Featuring a long wheelbase design, the Gladiator has found a home and subsequently become the perfect overland platform for enthusiasts across the globe. In this edition of Horizon Insider, Kyle dives in and covers the following topics: 1. As a ready-to-run (RTR) platform, what's in the box? (0:40) 2. Power system upgrade: The Spektrum Firma Sensored 1/10th Crawler Power System... What are the benefits? (2:06) 3. Axial Standard axle conversion: Pros, cons, and why? (3:45) 4. Tuff Stuff Overland Accessory Pack (5:11) 5. Tire Talk: Pro-Line Hyrax vs Duratrax vs stock tires (5:31)

Hey! Loved the video! And I just have one question. The servo spline on my JT Gladiator, (which is a PHENOMENAL truck) broke in half. Is that covered under warranty? And do I need a new servo? Or just a new servo spline? The truck is about 4 months old. I can’t wait to get it up and running again!! 😆
contact Horizon/Axial customer service warranty claim. This guy can't answer questions like that over UA-cam if he did everybody & there brother wld drive him nuts!!
being that is an esc/brushless motor combo and equivalent in size to a 550 motor, was it tough to fit the mock motor cover and mock plastic drive belt system back on ?
Just got the grey JLU RTR. Can I use the stock dig servo to shift the trans. Look like the same mounted vertically. Came with extra servo saver in the bag. Is that for the trans? I could leave everything the same and bend a wire linkage to the trans and set the end points.
you could do that but you have to take the transmission apart first & remove a washer etc in order for it to shift. it's pointless tho in this truck, they way the gear reduction is set there's really no difference between 1st & 2nd gear. your better off just buying a brushless set up & not worry about shifting its faster than you'll ever need .
So basically you have gotten rid of everything in a 500 dollar crawler and replaced it with better components, so the stock is rubbish, that's one way to sell a product lol
I sure didn’t considering the stock electronics burned up within the first hour including the dig servo. Luckily my LHS gave me credit for the brushless system, which has a more robust BEC for the servos.
I would put my team brood brushed motor against that spektrum any day just saying that is not the best combo for crawlers there is better out there try team brood and you will never look back
To much talking! And why the upgrade parts are not stock out of the box in the car. Lets us see how it's drive, than we know something! Send a car to Kevin Talbot and he will test it for you on his channel and we will see.
Great Vid, cool truck got the the red one love it

how would the driveline work if you didnt change the gears when changing to the straight axil kit
being that is an esc/brushless motor combo and equivalent in size to a 550 motor, was it tough to fit the mock motor cover and mock plastic drive belt system back on ?
It’s a 540 size
Best of the best Holmes hobbies and hobbywing axe and castle creations are the best 😂
Just got one got me and the @microcrawlerclub going to proline by the fire 2023z 🔥🔥🔥
you have video on how to remove the motor?

Does anyone in the crawler community keep their model stock? :)

@@bansheerider619 that's the best thing about having a good local hobby shop, glad that they helped you out take care and have fun
Hahahaha i was thinking the same ...this is not even the same truck
Does that truck support 4 wheel steer
It could... but it would be messy, particularly due to the servo-mounting location required for the rear.
You never want a crooked axial... I mean axle
I would put my team brood brushed motor against that spektrum any day just saying that is not the best combo for crawlers there is better out there try team brood and you will never look back
I would agree with you on this.
