Definitely a cool and unique build, you should do a video on maintenance/failures on the car since its has such a high miles. On my car apparently the timing chain is stretched but still with in VW spec according to my mechanic which i have no clue why maybe due to a bad tune not sure....gonna have to replace that soon 😬
Sachs performance clutch coming in this week and so excited to install it and finally hold down my stage 2 tune 🙌 went with mk6 TOB and redline fluid. Plan to leave rms alone if not leaking as mine is a 2019 with 60k. Curious, have you done any of the clutch tricks like remove the restrictor from bleeder block and spring removal??
Awesome! It’s a great clutch! I think you will like it and it will hold stage 2 tuned power just fine 🤙 Yes, in the past I have removed the destructor in the bleeder block and have removed the spring from the clutch pedal. Both of those do make a difference in pedal feel and modulation. I also had the ECS tuning billet bleeder block at one point. I no longer do any of these, and everything is stock regarding the bleeder block and clutch pedal. The reason why is because I feel like staying 100% OEM on these things prolongs the longevity of the clutch tob/slave. All of my failed tob/slaves had those mods, so I’m trying to keep it all OEM now to, in a way, for myself, test my hypothesis regarding leaving it all OEM. FYI, this is the TOB/slave that is recommended for the Sachs Performance clutch. It’s the one I currently use with it: www.fcpeuro.com/products/vw-clutch-release-bearing-and-slave-cylinder-assembly-golf-passat-sachs-sac-sb60324
182k miles is wildly impressive. Got your money out of it!
Still going strong!
I have 161k miles on my 16 GTI. It's my daily and makes over 500whp. Absolutely solid cars if you take care of them. 👍
Just sumbled across your channel. Looks like AZ!
Sure is!
