Whoa definitely a cool JDM time capsule, since is pretty hard to find stock ones in such relatively good shape i would keep this one as it is just inside-out many of the parts and features it has are discontinued, so yeah fresh rubber, belts gaskets some new spark-plugs and fresh fluids (oil, brake oil, coolant) it is a very cool vehicle to any cars & coffee ..
Nice to see a 240SX that hasn't suffered through a few generations of teenage ownership - definitely a unicorn. Love to find a clean, stock Eclipse from that 95-99 era.
Hi gang . I'm a 67 y.o. man who bought a 1996 Nissan d21 pick-up new ( 346,000 mi. ) now and I'm noticing a lot of off the shelf parts used in both vehicles . Love that KA24-E engine . Same 5 spd manual transmission , 1st clutch job done at about 327,000 mi. I'm crazy for that vintage Nissan ! Enjoying your videos ! ❤ ..
The passive seatbelts were invented because at the time the use of seatbelts was much lower. The shouder belt stayed connected and moved once the door was shut as shown. They were "unsafe" because the lap belt could still be left off. I think some people got tangled up in them and choked too. Airbags were more popular because they weren't annoying, but also cost a lot more. Lots of airbag injuries over the years, and a number of deaths, but that is another story. Also a lot of totaled cars due to the high cost of airbag replacement in very minor accidents. On the plus side, they have saved the lives of a lot of people especially the ones that ride around without a seat belt.
I bought a new 1990 240SX, red, 5spd, coupe, base model for $13k. Beautiful car, engine and transmission was very smooth, loved that car. 140hp was not bad at all back in 1990.
Great vid' as usual, keep it up guys. I like the fact that you cleaned the carpet that would need replacing, as if the owner can not get a replacment it can be used a template by a capet maker 👌👍👍
I had a 92 240sx convertible(220k miles and looked like new) that was sadly lost when someone drove into me and totaled it. I miss that car alot...this brought back alot of memories. Thank you. Love watching your videos every saturday.
OMG..Hubby got t-boned in his BRAND NEW '89 240 SX. Got the ins. $ and went for the '90 Z300. Had to sell it within a few years because we couldn't fit the carseat in the back for our first child! Man I loved that car 🥰
Actually, I seen similar seatbelts like that in police cars when they put the people on the back seat so basically they really didn’t discontinue it. It’s usable if you get locked up and end up in the backseat of a police car.
So satisfying! How far Nissan has fallen. This will fetch a nice price too. You guys are the best detail channel on UA-cam. Stay humble and be good to each other. Much deserved success.
The word "cob" historically referred to a spider, derived from the Old English "cobba." Cobwebs are typically associated with the webs spun by spiders, particularly those that are abandoned or old. The term has evolved to describe any tangled, dusty web-like structure, not just those made by spiders. Cobwebs often appear in corners and undisturbed areas, contributing to their association with neglect.
Awesome video! a 240sx is my dream car. I started my detailing business about 2 years ago was just having fun at first cleaning peoples cars but now im really into it! LOVE your videos!
I’ve watched all your videos, why don’t you ever remove the wheels and wash the inner wings (fenders)?.? Also, the detailers in Europe, clean and detail the engine bay first THEN the door jambs, followed by stripping the interior to bare to clean behind door panels and under the rear seats that mice have definitely been there, then finally the exterior.
awesome videos love seeing old cars coming back to life. always loved the 240's they are great cars. this came out really clean. can't wait to try the cleaning stuff i bought.
I had to look it up when you asked 😂 The main difference between a cobweb and a spider web is that a cobweb is a spider web that has been abandoned and is now covered in dust, while a spider web is a web that is still in use and is clean
can you believe i started in the morning and i finished now, damn. i love that paint, it looks so cool on that car and despite the environment it held quite good. with some minor repair, she could hit the roads in no time.
Hey guys The engine designation for your US spec car is a KA24, a 2.4ltr single cam non turbo Down here in New Zealand we had the 200SX. Same car but it was a general export model with the CA18DET engine. This was a 1.8ltr twin cam with a turbo
First car was a 1990 240sx spec'd the exact same just all Black. I loved that car. I left it at home when I went off to college and my Dad sold it because my parents were moving. Still miss that car.
Luckily those nasty seatbelts were never mandated in Canada. Nice find on the 240sx. They were popular here as well. Got a chance to drive a roached out JDM 180sx turbo. Now THAT was fun!
At 11:56 Hahahahaha!!! Classic clip for a future "montage" video!!! Oh man..... us men.... the littlest things like that will be funny until the day we die!!! 🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼
I watch on my TV so I rarely view the comment section. That being said, now that you have a complete line of your own chemicals, could you possibly every do many videos list each cleaning supply on the bottom of the video as it's being used? I have no idea how much work that would be during production but I would rock to see it "real time" as we're watching the video. Love the channel!
You have a great following and offer great content. Now I know this time of year the weather is cold and wet, but how about a video of you cleaning under your wash bay mats. After all of the cars you’ve cleaned, I’m sure there’s something dirty underneath your wash bay. How about a quick video on that?
So glad that car is a manual, gonna be alot more fund to drive, great transformation. It's in great condition and if the owner sells, he could probably get 10k for that car.
The biggest "Demise" for the Corvair were the 418,000 MUSTANGS that were sold in the first year - 1964 - 1965 ( the rear suspension of the Corvair was changed soon after it's deput in 1960 ) The Corvair couldn't compete with those numbers.
My 89 T-Bird had seat belts like that. There was no need to unbuckle the one from the door jamb. When the door opened it wasn't in the way to get in and out. The only thing you had to do was buckle the lap belt after you got in. That was part of the problem. People neglected to wear the lap belt and if they did get in an accident they would slide under the dash instead of being held in place.
I’ve never seen you pull door panels and other panels and clean behind them. Knowing that mice can get behind them, I would think it would be a good idea when detailing a car that has been infested with rodents it would be a good idea to strip off all panels and thoroughly clean behind them also. Just say’n.
I had a 1993 Saturn that had that seat belt lol. I’m 32 btw.. I had that car back when I first got my license in 2014/15.. was my dad’s car, he gave to me. I don’t think I ever used the waist belt part 😂
I owned a 180SX it had a turbo 2.0 liter and it was quick....I would love to take this car and swap a Turbo in it. Those seatbelts were discontinued because they were decapitating people. They didn't do the lap belt so a crash they would fly forward into the strap around the neck and YOINK!!
My Subaru Loyale had those seat belts. Almost hung myself when I first got it. I opened the door with the car running and it came up around my neck! 😂😂
Back in the early '90s there was a government mandate that a car either had to have airbags or automatic seat belts, and by 1998 all cars had to have driver and passenger airbags.
Power seatbelts had no safety concerns. It was a “passive” restraint. Passive restraints were required by the government. Airbags are also a passive restraint. After airbags became more common the power seatbelts weren’t required or wanted. My aunt had a car with a drivers side airbag, no power seatbelt and a power seatbelt on the passenger side. I had a power seatbelt Saturn and I never fastened the lap belt. Not once.

Did it started?
Nice to see a 240SX that hasn't suffered through a few generations of teenage ownership - definitely a unicorn. Love to find a clean, stock Eclipse from that 95-99 era.
I’d love to find an unmolested bone stock 240sx!
Teenagers kill cars 😂

It's funny to see Mike happily nerding out on the 240's tailend and taillights.
I bought a new 1990 240SX, red, 5spd, coupe, base model for $13k. Beautiful car, engine and transmission was very smooth, loved that car. 140hp was not bad at all back in 1990.
Do you guys have any plans for a video to show how you cleanup the floors of the studio from all the mess that drops off the cars?
Great vid' as usual, keep it up guys.
I like the fact that you cleaned the carpet that would need replacing, as if the owner can not get a replacment it can be used a template by a capet maker 👌👍👍

That gashole bit was HILARIOUS! I want more dirty gasholes! 😂🤣😆
OMG..Hubby got t-boned in his BRAND NEW '89 240 SX. Got the ins. $ and went for the '90 Z300. Had to sell it within a few years because we couldn't fit the carseat in the back for our first child! Man I loved that car 🥰
Congratulations on the new house, RJ ! 👍
My parents had a 91 Honda Accord that had that seatbelt feature. I always liked it as a kid and thought it was cool.
Actually, I seen similar seatbelts like that in police cars when they put the people on the back seat so basically they really didn’t discontinue it. It’s usable if you get locked up and end up in the backseat of a police car.

They were top in the 90s..........then Renault came along.

The end of the video, that was an awesome surprise.
Always wanted the 240 …up until the 280. But what an amazing car; love the headlights!
Awesome video! a 240sx is my dream car. I started my detailing business about 2 years ago was just having fun at first cleaning peoples cars but now im really into it! LOVE your videos!
Cleaning the seats was very satisfying.. good job !
Cleanest transformation yet. The carpets looked mint.
The cleaning of the rear cargo mat was extremely satisfying
Those were such popular cars in their time, but you never see them anymore, great job bringing this one back to life!

Awesome video as always. Brought back memories of my Red 1993 S-13. Congratulations on your new house too!
One of my favorites. Great car, and the way it turned out is awesome!
I had to look it up when you asked 😂
The main difference between a cobweb and a spider web is that a cobweb is a spider web that has been abandoned and is now covered in dust, while a spider web is a web that is still in use and is clean
That is a great looking 240! Very nice for the years!
can you believe i started in the morning and i finished now, damn. i love that paint, it looks so cool on that car and despite the environment it held quite good. with some minor repair, she could hit the roads in no time.
Nice choice MIKE..SCIROCCOS are AWESOME!!!!
you guys are so awesome love every car you do
Awesome transformation you guys!!!!
Great to see a 240 SX. I really amazing car and you guys hit a home run with the detail
Most satisfying pressure wash that you've ever done.
Congrats to RJ on getting his new house and for letting 1.19M subscribers into his bedroom 😀

Great transformation and a beautiful looking 240!
Just saw the mini clip on facebook and i had to IMMEDIATELY find myself over here..really awesome finding a stock 240. This would make a sweet build 🤤
I had a ford probe GT that had those seat belts. Very great video have always loved the 240SX.
Hey, there's the Forza again! I finally subscribed to this page.
First car was a 1990 240sx spec'd the exact same just all Black. I loved that car. I left it at home when I went off to college and my Dad sold it because my parents were moving. Still miss that car.
GREAT JOB WD!!!!!!
Wow Omg!! I had one exactly like that one same color brought back so many memories!! I freaking love this cars!!!
A crack-less dash on a first gen s13 is incredibly rare! The shift boot and the black plastic trim it attaches to are almost always broken
Honda used those seatbelts as well. The belts were supposed to stay connected because you could get in and out when they were connected.
Luckily those nasty seatbelts were never mandated in Canada. Nice find on the 240sx. They were popular here as well. Got a chance to drive a roached out JDM 180sx turbo. Now THAT was fun!
So you'll know the difference, spiderwebs are where the spider lives, cobwebs are where the spider used to live.
Car looks great we had a '91 in our family for many years, looks like you forgot to clean the wheel wells for the reveal?
Congrats on the new House RJ!!
Holy crap! She looks new! You NEVER see a 240 look like that these days.
I enjoy watching your show. When you’re cleaning the wheels spray the wheel house and rinse .
Congrats on purchasing your first and hopefully meany more homes.
My granny’s Ford Tempo had that seatbelt feature when I was a kid
Pretty trippy seeing this knowing tomorrow forza horizon 4 is being delisted from digital stores on xbox and steam for ever.
At 11:56 Hahahahaha!!! Classic clip for a future "montage" video!!! Oh man..... us men.... the littlest things like that will be funny until the day we die!!! 🤣🤣👍🏼👍🏼
@13:38 THAT my friend, is KA24 ...... they also came with a 1.8L CA18. The KA motor can actually handle a pretty good bit of Boost.
You guys do good work, but leave the inner fender wells dirty.
Nice car would be nice if you cleaned inner arches when you showed the owner around the car
I watch on my TV so I rarely view the comment section. 😢fantastic job. Like from night to bright sunny day
Now thats a clean gass - hole 😂🤣.....ThanX for sharing.....🔥🔥🔥❤️👍🏽💯😁
Beautiful after you did the detailing ❤❤❤❤
VERY nice. Car and detailing!
Do do you guys have an email so when I buy your product I can show you the before and after. Also you guys should do a tutorial on waxing
I used to keep turning the headlight switch on/off until my 240 started winking hahaha
Hello from Germany. Good Work! 😎
You have a great following and offer great content.

After all of the cars you’ve cleaned, I’m sure there’s something dirty underneath your wash bay. How about a quick video on that?
Man that thing would go soo well with my Grey 06 350z (give it a bumper to bumper full service, and a set of tires), and drive it as is from now on 😊
I’m always amazed at how people can just let a car sit and turn into a rodent condo. Great job on this one guys, it looks awesome!
I hope they can get the engine running. That car is amazing!❤
Came from TikTok!!! New subscriber here
I had a 91... 240sx it was blood red. I miss that car. Best one I ever had
HOLY COW THAT THING WAS CAKED
Keşke Türkiye de olsanız mükemmel bir iş çıkartıyorsunuz 👍👏🧿
So glad that car is a manual, gonna be alot more fund to drive, great transformation. It's in great condition and if the owner sells, he could probably get 10k for that car.

This one has overtaken the #1 position of your clean ups on my list ( course, you had some good bones to work with )
Legendary❤

We didn't use either back in the day. I remember when they passed the law in NC mandating the wearing of seatbelts
Brent calling out the Vspec badge.
I just got a 200zx running after sitting for 26 years this summer. When i removed the fuel line it still had pressure!
Congrats on the house 🍾🍾🍾🍾
I’ve never seen you pull door panels and other panels and clean behind them. Agree with you, this is what I have done to two cars I purchased
my 88 dodge shadow had those funky seatbelts, they never did work right even out of the factory.
I had a 1993 Saturn that had that seat belt lol. I’m 32 btw.. I had that car back when I first got my license in 2014/15.. was my dad’s car, he gave to me. I don’t think I ever used the waist belt part 😂
One of the main reasons they stopped using that seatbelt is because people wouldn’t buckle the lap belt and just rely on the shoulder portion
I still love these 240SX models and this one’s in great shape. How many miles did this one have?
nice to see the products sale but kinda imagining weather the products could show up in india as well!!
Found a gem ❤
My Subaru Loyale had those seat belts. Almost hung myself when I first got it. I opened the door with the car running and it came up around my neck! 😂😂
I had a 91 Subaru that had the automatic shoulder strap, never used the waist belt, LOL
Congrats on the house brobeans.
Love this..
I hope it stays stock, most are modified beyond belief and while I'm completely for it, this one should stay stock
Congrats on your new house. Great job on this car it was pretty dirty. Thanks guys!
