Procreate Animation Process

- Hi everyone,
Today I'm back with a new Procreate Animation for you. To recreate it you'll need to spend some time on the details but I promise the process is so easy...the Procreate Symmetry Tool does most of the job here 😆.
It's really quite the same technique I always use in my Procreate animation videos: a basic brush (here I used the Procreate Monoline, you'll find it on the Procreate Calligraphy section), a texture brush (the same one I use in most of my Procreate videos, I made it myself and told you how to recreate it in my previous Procreate Animation Tutorial for Beginners) and some clipping masks.
I find it easier to draw the shades on a clipping mask layer but I always merge them before I open the Procreate Animation Assist Tool to make sure I don't over complicate things 🤷. I’m trying to animate a whole short-film on Procreate using the animation tool. I’ve never tried animation, so this will be quite interesting.
Wow, best of luck! Just remember that every layer or layer group is considered a frame and that you have to set the background and the foreground 😉
I use flip a clip.
Yah I know its not super great but u can add sound which is what I'm mainly after. Creating stories from music that has inspired me.

just use whatever you have. You'll find tutorials on my channel for Android apps too. Or just use the good old paper, you won't be able to do animations of course, but you'll learn a lot from drawing with real pencils. That's how I learned 😊

That's beautiful. Since there's no movement, you should fade in-between frames and I think that'd get you a way, way smoother animation.

Thank you so much! Procreate doesn't have any vector tools, they're shapes but made of pixels. I hope they will add vectors to it, that would make it the perfect app 😊😊

My biggest myth is:
*Did she really drew a very clean circle by hand?*
She didn't 😝 Procreate does all the job in this case. You have to draw the circle and hold and touch with a finger and you'll have a perfect circle. When I think I could have told it's just my magic! 😅

I would have just liked it if you slowed down on the actions (masks, locking, etc.). The people watching you are at a lower skill level and not as familiar with the app as you are.

You can press the 3 dots when you click the video. Then go to playback speed and put it as slow as you want

I have to re do every line 50x time to get it right and when I think I got it right, I gotta go back and re do it 50x more times 😂😂😂😂😂 it's amazing how you can draw everything on the first try 👌👌👌
:))) sometimes I redraw a line twice but I edit the video to keep it not boring. But most of the times I nail it from the first try. It's all about practice, the more you draw the easier it gets 😊
Procreate is a powerful Illustrator/Photoshop app for the iPad Pro. I heard of this from a tattoo artist who uses it a lot for editing hand drawings into tattoo portraits. Very cool to see the timeline/animation.
Thank you so much! Yeah Procreate is a great tool but it can't do anything Photoshop does. You can't use it for professional photo retouching or vector art. On the other side, the Photoshop app for iPad can 't compare to the real Photoshop either 🤷🏻♀️
