TBS is doing big things..... as always. This is laying the foundation for a truly phenomenal eco-system of wireless communication with-in your drone, goggles and radio. This will be ground breaking and change the way we fly forever. Very nice video :). There is actually a third way to power it: Instead of the flat PCB (ribbon) cable, you can run a single wire from the solder pad next to the ribbon connector to the goggle battery connector. This will power Fusion with 2S voltage. It's a bit more difficult to install and definitely voids the warranty of your goggles, but the advantage is that it reduces the power consumption, as Fusion has an efficient switching voltage regulator.

the power mod has to be used on every goggle even the hdo its for the wifi wayne from tbs has a video on it to install it where you dont open the goggle check it out its pretty easy wear you fish the ribbon thru now what i herd is that doesnt void your warranty but i would double check . i do belive you have to use that board for it to work right i dont think your mod for the older goggles will work with this . might want to check into that i may be wrong but i do know even hdos have to have that little board installed . i think thats why your module is flashing like that . not sure yet mine will be here mon . great vid man
Would be nice to know if the power mod is needed anyways or not. Or when doing it if it hurts or not .....

If you want to use the modul in future with crossfire magic features something you have to use the mod on every goggle.
Because of wifi or so.

Hey Guys, Thanks for watching! My goggles are only flickering Because my camera and my goggles are on different timing, it's no different then when you try to record a computer screen and it looks all funky.

This module looks great - I am a little worried about the ribbon cable power thing since i can be a little rough on my goggles. Did the power mod get added after the product announcement before shipping ? Or was that always the way to hook it up ?
That's always been this way, it is also how you must do the Rapid fire and the True - D X as well

I just got mine today and what an absolute nightmare I had flashing the latest firmware on it, was my own fault though I was using a dodgy USB cable which lost connection to the module just as it was starting the flashing process.
Thought I'd bricked it as it was no longer displaying anything on the screen, but I found a guide on how to put it in bootloader mode and got it flashed, was a pain putting it in bootloader mode, had to jump a pad on the module to ground while holding in the button and then connecting it to USB, and you have to keep the pad bridged through the whole flashing process!!
fu im stuck with a blackscreen and it won't connect to my pc.... do i have litterly bind these spots with a wire touching it the hole proces?
@@cbsflows1041 yes mate, I spent ages messing around trying to sort mine out after it failed to flash, and the only way I got it back up and running again was by shorting the pin to ground while holding the button then plugging USB in, after you plug in you can let go of the button but you must keep the pad shorted to ground through the whole flashing process.
I was really close to just soldering a wire to bridge it but I literally just took the module out of its box and didn't want to be soldering to a brand new module.
It's working really well though, I really like it.
Should have said, I just used metal tweezers to bridge the pad, if you don't mind soldering to it then that would be a lot less hassle in my opinion, trying to hold tweezers to bridge pads while holding down the button and plugging in a USB cable is no fun!
@@Dav2112 hey man! i try so freaking hard like you and it finaly worked in the same way buttttt i had to updated to the oldest version and then the second newest version and least the newest version because if i did directly to the newest version it stay stuck in "preparing update"couldnt hold any longer the bridge XD. but it work and im done with that bridge stupit thing omfg haha. Thanks mate i also dont want it to solder because it was just a few hours new with waranty you know!

What was that black bar that rolled across the screen at 13:55 in? I noticed that today also during one of my flights, it kinda startled me. I never noticed anything like that with my last googles.

DrainMan FPV I just watched tbs live stream and they said the black bar means that that camera isn’t compatible at the moment and to create a ticket to let them know which camera u have so they can patch it in the next update. I just created a ticket for my runcam nano 2, so I suggest u create a ticket also

I just got the module today and when i plug it in nothing happen's on TBS AGENT but when I plug in crossfire it come's right up is there something i have to do when i plug it in?
It might be your drivers that are not recognizing it
@@DrainManFPV I thought that to but I got it working I beleive the module had a problem took 6 tries to update firmware after I finally got it to recognize it.
So I don't know what the problem was but I finally got it working.

@@mostcertainlyno I used a different computer I don't know why it wasn't seeing it but I did uninsatall agent x and reinstalled it and I was able to get it working with both computer's I use windows also.
I dig it Drainman, I'm a TBS fanboy and avid crossfire user. But I gotta tell you man, putting on a set of the new DJI goggles for 3 minutes has ruined this hobby for me. I can't even stand to look through my analog stuff now. I'm not a fan of overpriced DJI stuff, but damn bro, our world is changing fast. It's really hard to want to invest in analog anything after seeing it. I know there's a lot of hate videos on it, and probably justified for racers. But for a park flyer like me, I gotta save up for it. Once you look through those ugly looking goggles, it's game over. It's the biggest step I've seen in this hobby in the 2 years I've been along, for sure. If you've tried them, you already know what I mean. If you haven't - DON'T. You're money will be gone.
Dang! That's all exactly what I didn't want to hear haha of course naturally I have a little grudge against it because we don't want DJI taking over our hobby. Sounds like I better not try them because knowing me I'll end up with two of them. I'm really surprised at how everyone adapted to it, all of the manufacturers went ahead and created frames that fit the module etc. Fatshark is my goggle company you know, so once frostbyte drops I'm sure I'll be flying digital too!!
@@DrainManFPV - I'm with you, dji isn't who I want around either - they'll flex their muscle eventually, and that's bad for our hobby. We need competition. I'm a die hard fatshark fan too man, sporting the old hd2's forever now. Just hoping frost byte drops soon, it should be a lot more inexpensive. Keep up the great content, appreciate you.
