- The only canon teammate Persona evolutions. Also included the MC's awakening because Orpheus temporarily "evolves" into Thanatos, so yeah (debate it if you want, idc).

Definitely prefer this method instead of you having to go through their social link like in p4 and 5. This feels like proper character development

Definitely, especially after the Rank 6 mark, that's when it starts becoming annoying with how they never want to go up another rank without you hanging out with them like 4 times beforehand.
FACTS
I don't know I kind of like seeing the main gang go through their own hero's journey. I can feel like I understand them more and more and their persona's evolution is the reward for being with them to the end.
Personally I think 3's method of evolving the parties persona's fits with its more serious tones, where as 4's is meant to show the characters growing up and maturing and 5's especially royals version shows an acceptance of the characters views of themselves before and after the first evolution. idk each of the games handle this sorta think pretty well in my opinion and im glad they did the personas evolution the way they did in all three.
I love that these are a part of the story, makes character development way more apparent than in 4 and 5.
Yes i hate that but is even more notisable in p5 becuse if you dont level up their social links your party members wont seem like they have characte development in p4 at least they gived us pretty many escenes that makes them feel like real persons
As someone who loves P5, I've got to agree. Don't get me wrong I love the idea of the MC's bonds affecting the evolution of his teams Persona but it does make them seem far more significant in regards to their development.
Ken's moment was ruined by Akihiko feet failing to find friction at 8:43 XD

I really hope they bring back story-based resolutions again, the social link system really got refined in P4 and P5 but sometimes they can get really disconnected from story events like Ryuji and Rise. Honestly the best part of Persona 3 is the fact that the main characters aren't glued to each other, they all have their own issues and their own reasons for joining the team and continuing to fight. Ken joins to avenge his mother, Mitsuru does it to protect her father, Fuuka joins because it gives her a place where she's needed, Junpei to get away from his alcoholic father and to 'play hero', etc. It makes their 2nd awakenings feel more significant and hard hitting than being handheld by the Yu/Souji or Ren/Akira for 10 ranks and thus makes them feel more like 'full' characters than a piece in a story's puzzle.
SEES's resolutions have honestly resonated with me more than a majority of characters from 4 and 5 and it still sends chills down my spine whenever I replay/rewatch it.
"Alright Shinji... You watch from there with Miki. I still have things to do right?"
"I know one thing for sure now... I was right to believe in him. Are you listening dad? ...I'm doing okay. It took a while.. but I finally got your message."
"There is no need to worry Father... I am not alone. And I'll never look back again."
One of my biggest problems with P4 is that characters feel like they stop developing after their awakenings. It's so lame having a character's growth and development being locked behind a social link, and in the end not have it mean anything to the story. It makes the issue of all the party revolving around the MC even worse. Say what you will about P3's characters, but they didn't rely on MC to help them grow and face their issues
And P5 did the same
@@EJ-vb5it Yeah and in my worst it is worst because their social link is unrelated to their awakening or the main the story except excepted futaba she resolve it behind social link like the p4 crew probably because she has awakening like them, the rest of the team all stop developing after after awakening
And they didn’t even ask for command from MC in battle.. lol..
I don't think so, I think lots of people missed out the fact that P4 Arena acknowledged whatever was happening in the social links of the main game, Kanji makes dolls, Rise goes back to being an idol, etc etc, so while they don't have their 2nd or 3rd awakening personas, the development of their character still happens and thus is canon

Which is why they should’ve made it like P3 since their healing would affect the plot cuz P3 did the same.
Thank goodness for Royal adding some sort of character resolution that was plot based. Maybe they should do that for 6 since the team working on 5R are working on 6.

When I was younger (16) I really hated Yukari for how she treated Junpei but as I got older and replayed the game I realize that she’s like that bc she doesn’t tolerate bullshit from anyone. The shit that her mom put her through and the death of her father truly “toughened” her up.
I like Junpei's evolution in Portable more than FES. I like the idea of Medea fusing with Hermes to form Trismegistus to fulfill Chidori's promise, that she would always protect him. Plus Junpei will look hella cool after summoning two personas

Persona 3 has so many things about it’s writing and gameplay I really wish would return, this especially. I hate that they made the persona evolution tie to social links. Terrible decision imo.

20:00 TBH I prefer Io over Isis because of the design and how it looks like yukari herself in chains.
Heavily prefer this, I love P4 and all but if the characters evolved their persona through the story it would've been amazing! (Maybe they could only get their rank 3 persona if you finished their social link after their persona evolved?)

When I heard about Golden and Royal adding new ultimate Personas, this is what i thought it meant
New story - based ultimates for the characters so you don't have to finish every social link for the whole to get ultimates
I was pretty disappointed to find out its just an enhanced version of the SL-based ultimates

Yeah man i like this evolution.
I prefer they did this for P6, maybe max social link only rewards you with more skills for the character, in p3 the main cast grow together, they start not caring at all about the others and all have a different purpose of fighting, in the end they came out with a conclusion of their purpose and in the end all cast have the same goal and the bond feel awesome.
junpei one is the best, the coolest one, and it even gave him the passive skill, what a game

Persona 3 was my favorite game and I remembered playing it nonstop. a long time ago I bought Persona 3 for only a $1.00 at gamestop and I was super lucky for an amazing deal. Looking forward for the remake coming next year. However sorry to say but Persona 5 is obliviously my favorite hands down since Joker is also my main in Super Smash Bros Ultimate lol. I even bought a bunch of Persona 5 merchandises like the huge 500 page Japanese art book along with the Persona 5 animation art book all the soundtrack the ongoing manga the complete menentos mission spinoff manga side story the comic la carte book laptop sleeve 4 dresses school folders a Piccodo doll of the protagonist fabric wallpaper backpack a joker cosplay costume and two plushies of him. I have the enhanced version of Persona 5 royal and the spin off Persona 5 strikers with the steelbook and pin but not the dancing game sadly and I just Preordered Persona 5 Tactica for the switch along with the remake of super mario rpg

And this is why the former sees keep their 2nd awakening persona on sequel series, unlike investigation team and phantom thieves
My main question is, what would Shinjiro's final persona be? I haven't been able to find much about it by looking it up, I wish it at least known even if it had nothing to do with the story. And if anyone actually knows what it is please let me know.
He never had one, but Valkyrie seems like a decent one they could've used for him (first thing that came to my head, idk).

Well, Polydeuces and Castor are considered the twin brothers who represent the Gemini astrological sign, in greek mythology Pollux (Polydeuces) received immortality but rejected it after his brother Castor didn't get it as well. Since they are so related to each other, his ultimate persona would be related the King Cesar, so perhaps Augustus? Dunno
