Man! Why didn't I think to use the stand to do the vertical engraving. It's impossible to hold it still for so long. I'm weak. LOL!
Haha right you’d think it would be easy to hold it vertically still but it’s not 😄
Hi what laser engraver would you recommend to engrave baseball gloves? since the leather of the glove is not 100% flat I'm having issues finding the right engraver.

How are you liking the LP4?
@@ChadsCustomCreations I really like it as I mainly only use it for smaller things as you can imagine. The main issue that they are having is listening to the people on speed, etc. which is taking away from accuracy and precision. The app is usually not quite right and free of bugs. So there's some issues and bugs that need worked out , if they do that it would be a great little machine. I have 2 other brands that I use as well. It's like each machine has their go-to reasoning.

Best coasters I have found so far have been from Michaels sometime you can order them directly from their website.
Nice review and coverage of the components, software and capabilites! So, with the handheld option, you showed engraving your workbench, but I'm sure many of us really want to know about using it to laser engrave our cats. I think there is a HUGE untapped market for laser engraved cats to totally personalize them! Hmmm, my cat says I should ask about laser engraving stupid humans... So, I guess no laser engraving of cats or their stupid human... Regardless, the hand held option to mark containers, etc looks like an interesting capability... Keep up the great reviews!
Haha only my only experience with Cats and Lasers is playing with them with the little red dot pointers.
Oh yes containers. All of them mark them all. No more label maker tape that falls off. Lol

So that is actually a device that came with my Xtool rotary. I believe there are people selling 3d printed versions in Etsy if you want to take a look.

@@Dddddxx901 yikes that’s extremely frustrating. Seems like they could have designed it with two front wheels slightly turned inwards or adjustable to help it track better.

I wouldn’t really recommend this style laser if you’re looking to cut, check out my video on the xtool 10 or 20w laser which incredibly can but 3/4” oak plywood.

92 mm is the extent of %100 accuracy so the software for the QR code probably takes that into consideration.
Yes I believe I also had auto crop or something on so I think that maybe shrunk it.

What about the fume? You think I can use this in my craft room?
I think depends on what your burning, slate and glass is probably okay. But wood and organic materials just imagine the fumes they would create if you put a match to them that’s the fumes you’ll get. If you had it next to a window with a fan venting out you could get away with it in the craft room.

What laser do you think would be best for engraving a mouth engraving a mountain that's about 12" long
A mouth? If you need to go larger than what the laser pecker can do I recommend looking at the xtool D1 I have a few videos on it if you're interested.

@@seanwilson3330 I cannot remember off the top of my head but the laser pecker is like 4"x4" without the use of the trolley. With the trolley it's like 4"x infinity

I am actually not sure I’ve done some more metal testing videos lately but haven’t had the chance to test silver yet.
I can't get the LAZER to go a long distance in trolley mode the settings won't accept over 160 mm why ¿
Make sure you have updated the firmware it should be able to go much further
How did you prevent the laser from swaying as it Trollied?
In trolley mode it runs true just gotta make sure you have it lined up correctly first.
without the app, you can tap the Play button on the top to pause/resume a job; hold it to cancel the current job.
Nice yeah I think under the setting the default had those buttons disabled. I dig this thing though it's very cool.
@@ChadsCustomCreations if you do a firmware update, those buttons will be enabled by default (as before). Also, holding the Play button 3s when it's not engraving will turn it off. a short tap to turn it back on.
regarding the QR code being a bit smaller than expected, I guess it's because of the white margins around it, that were counted into the 100m size you specified. I forgot is auto crop is available when engraving QR code. worth a try.

Can you make a 12"x12" sign with it?
It's possible but you'd have to do it in pieces. 4x12" no problem with that trolley mode. For bigger signs check out my video on the xtool.
I just got the Laser 3 and nothing seems to be working. I can etch the test card. Tried to etch the bottom of a bowl I turned and the quality was very bad. The preview function does not work at all.
Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Are you making sure to have the correct distance from the laser head for it to be in focus?
@@ChadsCustomCreations yes, that is easy. Just seems that the only thing it will etch is the test cards that came with it. They came out beautifully. The roller is not working either. I have tried it using 3rd axis and cylinder on a copper pipe. It wouldn’t roll, but when it was in focus it did etch.
@@erikhansen6062 with the roller you have have to use those little rubber bands for gripping smooth objects so they will rotate.
If it is not giving you the desired burn try slowing it down or make sure that there is no residue blocking the laser beam from working at it’s full potential.
@@ChadsCustomCreations got it all sorted. Apparently it needs to have the box checked for cylinder each time.

This thing is cool, but I just don't get how it's almost as expensive as the Xtool D1 Pro 20W...
Yeah it’s up there must have something to do with that galvo mirror system so it’s great for someone who needs small stuff done fast but I would say xtool is a more well rounded machine for bigger jobs.
@@ChadsCustomCreations For sure! It's a cool little machine, don't get me wrong, just don't think it should be as much as it is. About to set up my D1 Pro 20W here soon. Can't wait to see what it can do!
