First: Great video. Thank you for that. I received mine as a holiday gift and was quite intimidated by it so it sat on a shelf until yesterday. I set it up with ease, out the design space on my devices, and started playing. I am so excited of all the projects in my head that are about to come to life. I too wish there was a case that fit BOTH the LP and roller. I need 1 or 2 of those batteries. For now, I'm about to check out more of your videos.
I got the original LaserPecker 2 or 3 years ago and outside of the pitifully low powered laser it also didn’t come with a battery so I used a power bank and upgraded the charging cable from the ridiculously short one it came with to a 3ft. I doubt either the power bank or the charging cable were more than $20 extra combined, but they made my use experience with my LaserPecker way more productive! So to see that they now offer battery for their model 2 (and I would guess up to their LP5) means that they definitely have made some improvements, they are running from $900+ to $3300+ for what comes down to a 5w diode laser to a 20w diode laser is seriously overpriced for what folk are really getting! I see why you kept referencing Apple😏 Hopefully some other company will come along and offer a much more reasonable price point for what the consumer is getting b/c there definitely needs to be some competition in this arena!
very cool tool/gadget. I was seriously considering buying it until you go to the price :) for that money - or there about - I'd rather go for a more complicated, more powerful, larger format traditional kind of engraver. Just my 2 cents 🖖
It’s very cool. I think it comes down to what type of projects you have in mind. For me, I’ll mainly be branding my projects so this is perfect and small which means I can easily put it away once im done. The larger ones are obviously larger, so you can engrave bigger areas, but they really require a permanent dedicated space which I don’t have.
I have seen it mentioned that when mounting the cutter on the roller to do a moving cut, the smoke etc from the cutting process stains the roller case, have you found so ?
Thanks for the video. Can it be used to engrave name or ID's on tools like spanners, screw drivers or allen keys? I am worried about the minimum size it can engrave. Thanks in advance.
Laser pecker do sell one, but if you wanted to save some money then you can set one of these up (You will still need an adapter and hose) - www.screwfix.com/p/manrose-mf100t-100mm-inline-extractor-fan-with-timer-240v/719GY?gclsrc=aw.ds&ds_rl=1241687&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1249404&gad_source=1&ds_rl=1245250&ds_rl=1247848&ds_rl=1248151&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgrO4BhC2ARIsAKQ7zUnl1gBG2yge18JR_GdBxqgfZ5vDLFE1laGjT7ell_s_n7LbFyGebrMaAmN3EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
As I understand, the laser connects via Bluetooth to the app, but you still need Wi-Fi to input the password before using it. I need to use this in a no-signal environment. Would it be possible to get everything ready, including entering the password, in a Wi-Fi connected area and then, without turning anything off, move to the no-signal area and complete the project? Thanks for any help you can offer. cheers
Thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying it to engrave on my aluminium products, while it’s the least talked about in the video 😅 Did you test on metal surface and is the result/resolution good?
It’ll engrave on covered metal, because it removes the covering. But you won’t get a decent engrave in any metal with this. It’s a pretty ‘soft’ finish that’s only visible at certain angles.
@@sumeraybuilds The ink falls into the engraved lines and you wipe away the excess and the rest stays inside the engraved lines. It’s an old trick and still works great.
You need to first apply some marker pen or paint to prevent the laser going straight through the matieral. I usually use a white 'paint pen' which works well.
Most of my projects are of wood. How would I engrave the center of a 12" or 16" wood bowl with my logo and signature. Doesn't look like it would work for my wood bowl needs. Good review BTW :)
You can remove the laser from the stand and hold it again bigger projects. You could 100% use this to brand a bowl, but it might take you a bit of practice to line it up consistently.
Yeah it’s certainly powerful enough, you’d want to check the material on a test price first as some plastic isn’t meant to be engraved, it might just melt
Dam that's sweet but then the cost. Bet that hurt your wallet and guessing that didnt come in with the penny to a grand series 😂 i really would love one think could do wonders for my business considering no one is doing anything like it in my area but just can't justify it right now. Although if u want files to play with let me no or if u wanna send it to a loyal subscriber and friend 🤔🏴👍🫢
Luckily this is a review model so I didn't need to save my pennies 😂 They are very good but you can buy cheaper ones if you want to start experimenting. You never know that might earn you enough to justify buying one of these!
@@sumeraybuilds yea must say it does seem to have the pros but size kinda matters and all that 😂 I have bunch files of whole range of things if u ever want any them let me no happily send them to ya. Also If the contact that sent yours wanna send one my way I wouldn't refuse 🏴👍

The discount code doesn't work though :(
I really need one of these in my life! Great video
You should!
Nice review, as always. Take care & stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Great laser. But like you said, unless you have a reason for using it a lot its a bit expensive. Great video by the way.
Yeah it’s definitely expensive unless you know you’ll get good use out of it. Thanks 🙏
aside from the price i LOVE this!
Yeah I agree!

Glad it was helpful! I’m reviewing the laser pecker 4 this week. Good luck with it!
I love this Laser! I use it for marking my wood turnings. Great product!
Glad you like it!

@ honored and thanks for reply and recognition
Great review, my 16 yr old son said mum, a lazer will cost thousands...this is a really good product, thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
This looks great! Love the idea of it being portable as a crafter. Shame about the price :/
Thanks 🙏🤞the price will decrease overtime!
As a beginer, I bought this model, maybe later a fiber laser, witch is a bit more expensive, thks, great honest review.
Glad it was helpful!
TeLly like this unit!
Thanks 🙏

So just In case anybody was wondering, as of the latest exchange rate (02JAN25), 738 GBP is approximately $914.46 USD
Thanks
can u use it on your skin? cheaper than a tattoo.
Haha I wouldn’t recommend it!
LOL!! That was the first thing my husband asked since I have so many tattoo's. I told him to try it first!
Can i use it for engraving a name on a woman's vulva ..? .. i ask this for a friend 😊😅
I have seen it mentioned that when mounting the cutter on the roller to do a moving cut, the smoke etc from the cutting process stains the roller case, have you found so ?
I haven't found this in my experience.
❤❤❤❤sweet review!
Thank you! 🤗
Are you able to do like an embossing effect where the laser cuts all around where you want your image?
Yes you can. But you need to make the design on a PC and then import it into your phone.
Thanks for the video. Can it be used to engrave name or ID's on tools like spanners, screw drivers or allen keys? I am worried about the minimum size it can engrave. Thanks in advance.
Hello, it can’t engrave in metal unfortunately. But the laser pecker 4 can and I’ll be making a video on that soon!
Hi, can you do business cards? Sorry if already mentioned. I’ve got a laser2 as an early gift. Very impressed with set up.
What small extractor would you recommend. BTW, love your video review. Thanks.

Can I engrave on top of jewellery boxes
No this doesn't do metal

You only need wifi upon initial set up. After that you only need bluetooth so you can use this in the middle of nowhere if required.
Will it laser engrave aluminum
No, it won’t do metal at all

Looks good. I know there's cheaper out there but it's about quality I guess.
Yeah it's a very good machine, but certianly pricy
How is it for engraving water bottles, glasses, cups etc?
It does a great job as long as you prep it right. As in with a pen/ paint first
@@sumeraybuilds Excuse my ignorance here but what exactly does that entail and how does it help the laser?
@@sumeraybuilds The ink falls into the engraved lines and you wipe away the excess and the rest stays inside the engraved lines. It’s an old trick and still works great.
How does one engrave on a transparent polycarbonate item?

Would it engrave a silicone wrist band do you think?
Yeah it’s certainly powerful enough, you’d want to check the material on a test price first as some plastic isn’t meant to be engraved, it might just melt
@@sumeraybuilds Thanks, appreciate it
The discount code doesn't work though :(
Oh dear, let me look into that :D
@@sumeraybuilds I appreciate that.
How deep can this engrave?
It depends on the material, you can get about 5mm into timber before I sets on fire. 🔥
@@sumeraybuilds Great. Thank you.
My eyes my beautiful eyes!
😂
كم ثمنها من فضلك
£599
NO this thing breaks quickly. Its a known issue. The adapter stops working and the usb or blue tooth just dies. I spent 1300 on an LP 2
I didn’t know this!
$699 for the actual engraver is pretty cheap!
Yeah it’s not too bad!
