Bought this, I've got an xtool 10w and their infrared head and a 40w CO2 laser. Xtool has had the best customer service by far. My omtech has gone through 2 water pumps but it engraves and cuts as expected. The laser pecker 2 is easiest to use with the mobile ap, being able to connect to Bluetooth. They also sell a carry case and a battery unit. I started taking out to vendor fairs to do on-site engraving it paid for itself in a day.
Lasers are a great tool! I've had a diode laser for several years now. I recently finished building a 100w CO2 laser for my business. Love what you are doing with the channel. Thanks for all you do.
LaserPecker now has the LaserPecker 4 which is a combination diode laser like the LP2 and a fiber laser like the LP3 so it is two lasers in one. Plus it has twice the power of the LP2 and LP3. You can also get a battery for it so you can take it ANYWHERE. The improved firmware allows to to double the speed as well. So much fun.
Besides seeing this awesome laser tool in operation, I realized how much effort it takes to make such a video, camera movements, effects, sounds, and lighting. Superb work and awesome video, right to the topic ❤
Dude, that's one of the best product reviews that I've ever seen on here. I'm definitely getting a laser engraver, probably not this one, but I appreciate the work that you put in testing it out.
Hi Michael, Great product review, you are so right about that annoying metric system base 10 is so complicated. Yes I am having a dig. All in good fun Cheers from Australia
Hey Michael. I watched another video on this laser. The guy was having the same tracking problem as you were. He took the magnetic bearing rollers off and it seemed to track fine. You should give that a try and see if that helps. Update if it does please.
Wow, I didn't know what to expect. Perhaps I half expected "just another boring review". Brother you hooked me straight in with this. and totally inspired be to put my Laser Pecker to work and have fun. Stay well and keep inspiring.😁
Looks great for someone with no experience in CNC, but this thing is entry level CNC router money. You could easily build a custom 20-30W laser engraver for the same price and have an absolutely massive engraving area.
Bro you can even sell ice cubes to a polar bear with that enthusiasm, and made me wanna buy it within the first 5 min...till I looked up the price, it's an expensive little one 😅. Maybe you could build a more powerful one for less money 💰, and for a bigger surface... and if you do, don't forget to tag me 😉. Again nice video bud 👍
OH MAN! So many possibilities with this! Just watching all the different materials that this can handle, and how easy it seems to use. As someone who's no good with computers, it nice to see something that takes that fear away. Thanks for sharing this can't wait to see this pop up in more of your videos!
That thing is wicked cool! When I clicked the link, I had hopes that it was about half the price it was. Darn it. But I'll keep it in mind, if I can ever justify it!
I wonder how much you could do larger images in multiple passes Soon to be run by a USB-C battery pack on a Home Depot bathroom stall near you. Michael Builds was here!
Lol. That was another thing I wanted to explore but knew I couldn’t fit it into the video haha. But I was very curious how accurate the “preview tool“ was. I wanted to see if I could take a large picture, divide it into say four sections. Do you four different Burns and have a picture that was quadruple the work area

You should try a laser tattoo. buahaha...totally kidding...but, not really. I mean, yeah I'm kidding....you know unless you want to.....I mean I'm kidding. ;)
Better keep that in the workshop. Take that in the house your wife will end up taking it from you. 😂😂😂 Love how excited you are when showing everything it does.
what do you think about the laser pecker 3 it worth the investment. is ther any consumbale involed or maintence. where is it manufactured and from where its beign shipped
That is really cool! I want one! Unfortunately i can’t afford one. But still want one 😂 super creative, i was thinking as i watched the video what if… and every time you did what i was thinking.
In trolly mode don’t use the ball bearings it causes it to wonder off a straight line, if you kept them stored and did trolly mode it will stay in a straight line no wood needed to guide it
Hi Michael, What kind of black marker were you using? Every time I try to use a dry erase one the second stroke seems to take off the black mark I’ve already put on. And most of the dry erase markers don’t come out real black.
@@mrupholsteryman You are looking at it wrong. You don't pay for the laser, your customers do. At least that's what I was told. 😁 Seriously, if you can envision it and you have confidence in your idea, do it. The pain today will be rewarded tomorrow. I think you could be on to something with the custom headrests for cars. I used to be in the marine industry and the amount of money people will spend customizing their toys 😳 I could see doing boat seats too. With the portability of this thing, it would be a breeze to do it on sight (provided you had power of course). Just make sure you don't burn through.

Not very price friendly considering the limited size of thing you can engrave. It would have been helpful if you told the price points upfront, to save many of us the time of watching this video.
you mentioned cutting vinyl, DO NOT cut vinyl with a laser it releases chlorine gas. I do not like all of these little laser engravers because they have no ventilation you will be breathing everything that you are engraving/cutting.

Can the ball bearing rollers also support the ends of long dowels if you wanted to engrave a 4-inch long section around the circumference?
