What do you think about the XR Elite? Do you agree with me that they should sell it with some kind of instalment plans to make the high price more digestible?
pre-order mine day 1 when they release keynote on CES , also try it at Taipei few week ago (I'm taiwanese) it's fine but the screen seems little dark for me , the guy who host demo say LCD on real product is better than demo HMD , I really hope that's true
I think a simpler way to give it a more appealing consumer price point would be to offer a headset only option (no battery strap, no controllers) as a $650 direct upgrade to the Vive Flow (Assuming the XR elite can be used with a phone the same way? It's not clear at the moment). More people would probably pay that price point and get the controllers later, while $1,000+ would prevent them from even considering it, despite the final amount paid being the same. And as you've touched on a couple of times, HTC really should leverage the Viveport Infinity subscription way more than they are. It's such an insane value even as a PCVR user, and none of their competitors are offering similar services.
Seb Thank you for all the info you find for us! For me screendoor is like FOV is for Flight Simulator guys, it is everything, so please let us know on that... 0 being no screendoor 10 being I don't know Rift... Vive Pro 2 being around 2.5... where is the XR Elite 0-10 for screendoor effect?
Seb, you need to try your Quest Pro some more. Yes, very comfy at first, then headache after 1 hour. That's all true. However, there is a third chapter. Once you get used to the pressure on your forehead, it feels like nothing. You may find that you can no longer go back to anything that touches your face, no matter how light it is. I can ware the Quest Pro nonstop for a whole day. I challenge anyone to do the same with a ski goggle!
For me, it's not about "installment payments", its about a belief that its not worth $1100 and if what that person said about the 110 fov confusion is true, even more fuel on the fire for why it's NOT worth it. When I think $1100 dollar plus value, I think of something with pankcake lenses, 2160 x2160 res, true 110 horizontal/vertical FOV, wired and wireless capability with wifi 6E, standalone ability, self charger, decent controllers, at a bare minimum and if they want to throw more into the cake, awesome. I wish more people would be less willing to accept mediocre BS to be truthful

After the bigscreen beyond announcement, I am now waiting for a micro oled headset that has wired/wireless pcvr, a slight increase in FOV, resolution and Inside out tracking. Unfortunately The XR elite will get old really fast once we get such a device.

I love that you're actively catching yourself on pronouncing depth now. You're a good linguist. :) Thank you for the more detailed review. Nobody else has really been able to provide one yet and I found this very helpful.
yep well said!.. privacy is waaay more important than just saving a little extra money with those Meta bastards. Goes a loooong way. if something is super cheap or free then YOU would be the product.
I put my pre-order in already. I will always want a bigger fov like the pimax but having something lighter and smaller with large field of view maybe tricky for a standalone.
The depth sensor not being turned on is a big worry considering they are calling this thing 'XR'. I wonder if they are having problems, like Meta, with getting a good image quality when bringing in the depth information.
@@rangerkayla8824 I managed to find a gasket for Quest Pro that blocks out nearly 100% of the light. It is better than the expensive Meta one which doesn't block the light around the nose. So light leakage is no longer a problem for me on this headset.
I honestly think the Vive XR Elite would be perfect if their controllers were self tracked so that we can put the controllers behind our heads and back and stuff with out problems OR.. If it was still compatible with their Base Stations for native/standalone Full Body Tracking without external apps for calibrating. Making full body fast and available like on an Index but with a headset that is also standalone would be great! I know Pimax has headsets that are promising this but they don't have the app libraries to the level of Quest or Vive.. or my trust tbh. In all honesty, I don't care much about standalone, I really only play PC VR but the reason why I got a Quest 2 over the much more powerful Valve Index was because of wireless PC VR play, at that price with a feature like that I really couldn't say no to the Quest 2. I am happy you described the Vive Xr Elite as the most comfortable headset, honestly since the depth sensor is not fully functional and we don't know the price for the face tracking module (or other modules that may exist).. I think I will stick with my Quest 2 for now and wait on those announcements, see how the Vive headset progresses, see how it does with different hardware (ie quest or index controllers) & of course wait for the announcement of the Quest 3 to see what that will offer. Thanks for your honest review!
Thanks for the update mate. Nice to see. Its bizarre that they didnt include a ski goggle type strap for "glasses mode". Lean forward to look at something, $1000 down the drain.
Very good video, Sebastian. I hadn’t realized that the XR Elite has such a small fov. That is really unfortunate at this price point. Thanks for the info as always.
I believe when compared to other devices in the same price range like the meta quest pro it actually has a higher FOV, 110 degrees on the xr elite compared to 108 on the quest pro as well as having a higher resolution per eye than the quest pro, one thing I love is the expansion packs possibly available for the xr elite, with one 3d render showing a face tracking module.
@@collinreed2062 According to Sebastian, the fov on the XR Elite seems smaller than on the Quest 2, despite the advertised specs. I’m not sure if he had the opportunity to measure using FOV measurement software or if he is just going by the feel of the experience. Sometimes fov can vary from person to person based on face shape, ipd, etc. We will learn more as more people are able to try the device.
@@dominicisidore two points less than what, the $400 budget headset that is the Quest 2? Quest 2 fov is already too small. For $1100 I was hoping the XR Elite’s fov would be at least comparable to the other pancake headsets like Quest Pro and Pico 4.
I want this. Preordered already on Amazon. I’m just a huge fan of HTC. My kids still prefer using the original Vive with Wireless Adapter even though we have nearly every headset out there (OG Vive, Oculus Rift CV1, Quest Gen 1, Quest Gen 2, Vive Pro, Reverb G2, PSVR, Go, etc). I plan to use this headset wirelessly via PC purely due to the fantastic form factor. Go HTC!
I too use the OG Vive and pre-ordered the Elite XR 3 days after they announced it. lol. I love HTC (and Taiwan). I wish the best for the Taiwanese people.
Thanks! It's hard to tell if someone you don't already know on UA-cam is a good reviewer but your impressions feel similar to how I imagine myself feeling about a new device. I don't need perfect, I want something that doesn't have Meta software on it!
I still have my Rift S too paired with a laptop. I added a HP Reverb G2 V2 for the higher res, Fov, audio, and comfort. I think I’ll have to wait on Valve to save the day as far as new headsets are concerned. I bet it will be killer. I have a bad feeling investing in anything using old XR2 chips. The XR Elite is a nice bit of kit though. If I am going to spend over $1000 it might as well be with Valve.
@@rangerkayla8824 it's true we have had a VR drought for a while but if you wait just a bit longer new hardware is probably going to flood the market soon. The thing that burns me is how long they've milked the old gen 1 XR chips. Maybe AMD will change the game but I have a feeling some beefier alternative is going to rock everything. If you need something now I guess at least you have options. It seems we are stuck on gen 1 Qualcomm chips regardless of clock speeds. I mean with the exception of Meta, the tracking/ controller scheme hasn't really changed for 3rd parties adopting XR. The HTC Elite is a nice bit of kit wish the price was a little lower given the risk of what's coming in that price bracket.
Seb is HTC going to fix: 1) The faceplate from falling off. Everyone I know who tried it had the faceplate moving or falling out of the headset on to the floor. Will they use stronger magnets and tighter tolerances to hold the faceplate better? Hopefully the frame will have more material to grip it in place. 2) Also the “glasses mode” is very loose with the attachable arms. Overall it definitely looks like a great headset. Do you think they will be ready to ship with all these fixes in time at launch? I really wish they sold these at $900 even if they had to sell the glasses mode and extra batteries separately to make up the cost difference. $1100 is too much.
@@rangerkayla8824 I live in the US too. I've heard more US sellers are listing the Pico. Yeah I agree that XR2 chip is getting long in the tooth. At least meta will push the demand to create a faster chip. I can understand why these don't sell well enough to go mass scale, VR standalone is not like hundreds of millions of android phones which benefit from a new Qualcomm chip. I have a Rift S and HP Reverb G2 V2. Still waiting for that killer HMD which pushes the boundaries. Maybe Valve Deckard will save the day. But yeah price is key. I paid under $399 for each buy. I'll spend a little more next time.
Recently I picked up a Pico4 to replace my Quest2. The Pico4 was definitely more comfortable and lighter. The view seemed much wider and the dark binocular circles were greatly minimized. Unfortunately after a few days in, I've noticed this really awful lens glare. It seemed permanent in the lenses so there was no way to shake it. Granted, it was less noticeable in certain places but more noticeable in others, ruining the immersion completely. So my quest for my next vr headset starts again. The Quest Pro was enticing at the new $1000 price tag, but I believe you mentioned the binocular overlap wasn't all that great. I rarely even game in vr, I just want a headset with clean, crisp, very minimal glare, nice bino overlap, (so I'm not seeing the two dark circles) so I can enjoy some movies. I did just pulled the trigger on the Vive Elite so wish me luck🤞.
Lets not forget, any issues for UK users, you have to send it back to Romania and then run the lottery whether it comes back fixed or not. Used to be £40 a trip, probably £50 or £60 now.
great video sebastian, i think this headset is really awesome! my dream forever is small lightweight formfactor that i can wear comfortably for hours. other option is now bigscreen beyond but i dont have steam controllers or lighthouse trackers, so a very difficult upgrade for people like me and most people. This has everything you need which is great plus has color passthrough, wireless, standalone...your likely right glasses mode less comfortable and supportive but i think they or 3rd party can easily fix that issue with attachable soft strap to clip in that goes around back of head like the bigscreen one. super exciting times for vr
@@rangerkayla8824 omg returned it. It was sooo bad. Software sucked and the hardware felt cheap. That said it is by far the most comfortable headset ive ever put on my head
@@rangerkayla8824 im going to tackle questions 1 by one lol. I do play in the dark with an IR light. I'll keep the stock light blockers on and they're actually quite nice. They don't fully block light but you can buy a fall light blocker through oculus that uses the same magnets. I like the oculus lite blockers, because it allows for maximum Fov. Yes, you can play in the dark with no interfaces with an IR light
@@rangerkayla8824 with that said I still do intend to but the quest 3 aswell. The issue that your face is similar to the one that I faced. You expected that you were going to get a new and exciting headset with the Vive only to be severely disappointed, and now in deep desire for an upgrade. Its like blue balls for tech
I got one in from Amazon UK to test yesterday and it went back today - The lenses are far too small you could see all 4 edges of the lenses and that facial interface is horrible mainly due to the magnets not being strong enough when you add pressure to the top the bottom unattatches causing double light leak in from the bottom. FOV has to be between 85 -90 is far too small and after testing Half Life Alyx I thought that looked better in the Quest 2 - yes in a £300 headset over this £1300 headset. Unless they sort out these issues the XR Elite is dead on arrival or as you said at the end Seb they have to drop the price as now the Quest Pro is a bit cheaper I would recommend the Quest Pro every time over this. Regards Artful
I got my pre-ordered HTC Vive XR elite and send it back, vertical FOV about 90° look like in little holes not full VR experience, and right screen of my XR elite was with more defective pixels, the Vive soft looks like start developing with much of bugs. I don't recommend to buying it.
Thanks for the follow up video...one question how was the sound? Assume nothing spectacular but not horrible. I am getting it for movie viewing on flights, work and less graphically intense social gaming like walkabout mini golf and Demeo. Will still use HP Reverb and perhaps upgrade to Crystal for PC vr. Price is an issue though, especially considering they do not include the $79 streaming cable with it. Happy to see a lot of hardware options coming out this year, hopefully that inspires more software content to follow.
Thanks, I had the opposite experience myself, but it is such a low profile form factor I think there will be quite a big variation in experience. It took me a bit to play with adjustments to get the fit right, but once I did it has been an excellent for me especially with the diopters. The resolution for me is much better than Q2, QP may have slight edge due to local dimming but not significantly different for me. Perhaps my eyes align to the sweet spot we'll but didn't have setup issues many have complained about myself. I was up and running with all modes tested without issue after about 3 hours. Paired with 4 different PC's no issue there as well. It isn't perfect though, pass through while better than most wasn't great, hand tracking hasn't been that smooth, FOV is Q2 level, and there is significant light bleed in many instances when you have white text on black background. For my purpose though productivity (able to work for a few hours on virtual screens), travel, and a quick up and running of my steam game library it has been perfect for me. Given the cost and the need to buy $80 streaming cable for wired PCVR, as well as $200 battery pack, it is hard to recommend for the casual VR user.
There's no point showing off the XR headset, without showing applications where it's worth the money. Show how it can be used in the workplace and make things more efficient or easier. If you can't show that then there's no point to them.
Hi Sebastian @mixedrealitytv. I'm aiming to pick up a VR headset for the sole purpose of being able to have an on-the-go virtual office with 3 clear and crisp monitors working with my old 2018 Surface 2 laptop, or preferably my Chromebook! I've been trialing the Immersed app on both Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 2, and I've determined that Quest 2 doesn't have sufficient resolution for me. Quest Pro I can work with longer. In a couple of days Meta Quest Pro will drop in price to $999 in the USA, making the price point comparable to this Vive XR Elite. So pricing being roughly equal, for the goal of working from a laptop 6-8 hours a day with 3 virtual monitors during extended working holidays, would you suggest the Meta Quest Pro of the Vive XR Elite?
Hmmm 🤔 I wish I could see the binocular overlap issue on the Quest Pro. I’ve tried about every single consumer headset including Quest Pro and have never seen the issue. It’s that not one size fits all thing I think.
Hi another great video! Did you happen to use the diopter adjustments without your glasses and how do you rate them that way....I wear glasses and they are the bane of vr use. Thanks!
Thanks Sebastian! Cool video! I'm very intrigued by this system but I'm a bit over the range for nearsightedness. Were you in the range? Do you think there will be a lens adapter for this system?
Was the Vive Streaming application you tested for Kyack VR an iteration of the Vive Business Streaming application that is on the Vive Focus 3 ? or something else?
@@mixedrealityTV Understood. VBS has come a long way since its release with the Focus 3. I am uncertain if you have that HMD and tested VBS but in my years of testing VBS is almost as good as Virtual Desktop.
My 6dof motion platform works so well with my Index and OVRMC motion compensation that I am hesitant to risk any non-lighthouse based VR headset. Bigscreen Beyond and MeganeX with OLED are perhaps the only two contenders I am considering.
So, these people are advertising 110 degree's FOV so are you saying it doesn't live up to that?? That's highly unfortunate as that was one of the features that attracted me the most ....
110 advertised is diagonal. Based on PPD that was mentioned (between 19 and 20) the horizontal FOV should be 100 (8 less than Valve Index). Since the lenses are perfect circles the vertical should be 100 as well (4 less than Valve Index). Of course I emphasize "should" as based on the infomartion we have and calculations/dimension that's what we could expect but reality might be a bit different in one way or the other.
@@chadef555 lol, well, if that is indeed what they mean, that's an even greater argument for me against this thing being valued at $1100. lol I was playing around with getting one even tough I don't like the res cause 110 seems amazing but it that's true, one more nail in its coffin from me lmao :)
@@gordontechreviews I don't think 8 degrees of horizontal fov is that big of a loss. Especially if the lenses are crystal clear with huge sweet spot. Additionally we haven't seen any 3rd party facial interfaces. Just like with Quest 2. I thought it's bad FOV wise but once I got my eyes really close with 3rd party interface it wasn't that bad. the horizontal was good enough. Vertical felt a bit constrained (it's like 93/94). If XR elite going to have 100 vertical which it seems it could be it's good. And Quest 2 max was 97 and I felt like it is decent enough so a few degrees more would be nice. Not Index level as I prefer it the most but still a worth trade off for all the advantages it has.
@@chadef555 it is. I've measured the quest 2 and compared it to the pico 4, 98ish Q2, 102ish pico 4. that's 6 degrees difference and it's noticeable. I quite literally hate putting on the Q2 after using the Pico 4. Going from a precieved 110 to, THAT? THAT would be even more noticeable. ya, no FOV matters.
@MRTV - MIXED REALITY TV thank you,I really enjoy your channel, let me know if you hear any news about the VR injector, I'm very excited about this for pcvr
AR is a selling point for this headset, even if there will not be a lot of stuff out for it right away. I am concerned at this point that they still have not turned the depth sensor on at this point. They keep doing "broken" demos with technology being turned off. I get the face tracking stuff is out of their control, but they really need to show the stuff they do have, even if it is not 100% ready. I am still going to stick with my previous statement that this is a $800 (MSRP) headset at best. Trying to sell it for more, with the specs, is ultimately going to hurt the product overall due to low adoption. Especially since they are going the walled garden approach for the game store, they really need to bite the bullet and lower the price.
I would not be surprised to see that. The only issue is that they are not currently marketing it to businesses, but direct to gamers (ie pre-order package). If they do change that and target consumers with a later product it will likely be dumbed down even more at that point.
@@nostriluu yes, staff told me it will be 3D once depth sensor turn on , I ask that few weeks ago but I don't know if that's true because I asked him about eyetracking module but he didn't know what is eyetracking module, seems not very know about the product

I just refunded the Vive Elite XR - A friend brought over his Pico 4 . The Elite is not worth £950 more over the Pico 4 . Pico 4 screen and res look amazing compared to the Elite XR. The Elite resolutions look like dog shit for £1300. My Valve index resolution looks just as good as Elite XR and I've had that for 3 years or so . The Elite is not an upgrade to the Valve Index. The Elite controllers are empty hollow light cheap feeling plastic trash compared to the Pico 4 controllers. I'm sorry MRTV but I completely disagree with your opinion on the Elite . I'm just glad that I did not cancel my Pimax reservation. If the HTC Elite was the same price as Pico 4 then maybe because of the form factor it would be a decent buy . Sorry to disagree but that's just my opinion . I absolutely love the build quality of the Elite XR but the res just lets it down for the price.
Hi there, I don't think we disagree here. I never said that the device would look any better than a Pico 4. What I like here is the form factor! In my opinion, and that's what I say in the video, this will be picked up by companies. But for general consumers it does not make sense.
@@mixedrealityTV Hi , Thanks for clarifying that , I thought you said the visuals were defiantly good - between the quest pro and Pico 4 . After I tried out the Pico 4 the visuals blew me away compared to the Elite XR I sent back for a refund . I honestly thought the Elite visuals would be on par with Pico 4 for that amount of money. Thank you for your video and response :) I'm looking forward to getting the Pimax Crystal instead.
@@ZZYDDD It has 1920x1902 per eye. Apparently between 19 and 20 PPD which is similar to Quest 2 and very close to reverb G2/Pimax 8KX. Unless you actively look for SDE you most likely shouldn't notice individual pixels
@@ZZYDDD when it comes to PPD it's similar(Pico is a little bit better around 20.6ppd). But quest pro has better quality screens and contrast. Vive should be decent but it doesn't have local dimming etc like quest pro.
Still not enough of an improvement over current cheaper headsets. There is no point developing this type of spec in a headset any more, I am sure we all want more than this. Higher FOV, at least 4k per eye and lightweight with no lighthouses needed. This product is too expensive for what it offers by far.
Thanks for this review. I have a Quest Pro I can return till the 6th, I am feeling conflicted. I like HTC better spiritually, and Quest is clearly aimed strictly at gamers with its pervasive childish graphics, but the QPro has eye & face tracking and a larger ecosystem. It's my first headset, so I can't really calibrate expectations, but I don't find the QPro to be very comfortable, and I like the form factor of the XR Elite a lot. I'd just have to pay for the eye tracking later. But I think that HTC is aiming this at business and enthusiasts, and in the fall will come out with a mainstream consumer version. They are really asking a lot of their enthusiasts, with just promises that features like the depth sensors will be significant. If they really wanted to be fair, they would let early reviewers compare it to the QPro and others in extended head to head reviews. We are just coming out of a chip shortage and heading into a surplus, and this will also give time for lens and new tech production to ramp up. I think a lot of early adopters are going to feel burned.
There will likely be a Face/Eyetracking mod in the future for the XR Elite. Just Keep in mind that making an avatra compatibile with this facetracking can be involved, but most of the existing tools are already geared towards Vive's facetrtacking ecosystem as its been around longer - for instance - the quest pro doesn't track certain things like tongue movement, where every single Vive face tracking solution does. Now, that's a highly specific example, and we won't know for certain how much the facetracking module for the XR Elite will cost, or when it will come out.
@@bizz7612 I'm much more interested in using eye tracking as input than facial expressions. I think the qpro's inability to tongue is a hardware design problem.
Is vive not working with steam anymore? Does that mean native steam vr wont be available in the vive shop? So another ecosystem to buy all the vr games in...
@Symbiosis Printing Games such as beatsaber, zenith, superhot, and many more exist on standalone headsets. As far as I am aware, headsets like oculus quest do not have pc horsepower in them. The quest does have a separate games store from vive. When you open the original HTC vive, you are booted into the steam ecosystem. Can you choose to do that while wireless and play the games capable of running on lower hardware? Or since the headset has its own ecosystem will this force us to buy the same titles again from a different platform. It seems to have some integration with streaming but that doesn't necessarily mean it is a good headset if you are already heavily invested in the steam ecosystem.
@@OrionMagus The games you mentioned are native to standalone headsets. You can't play PCVR games, including Steam VR games on any standalone headset by simply lowering the resolution or textures. You need a PC to play PCVR games if you want them on any standalone like Quest 2 or Vive XR elite. You will also need to buy the game again if you bought a Quest game and want it on XR Elite. The only exception would be a "Cross Buy" game where you get an Oculus PCVR game when you purchase the standalone version. Then you could play the Oculus PCVR version through Steam VR using Revive, but only if you have a beefy PC. The XR Elite will play Steam VR games if you have a gaming PC. You could do so wirelessly through Virtual Desktop, but you still need the PC.
It's not unless you really want that modular battery and are willing to pay 2.5 to 3 times as much money for the device to get that. Pico 4 is equal or better in every other way. And if you really want the standalone library, Quest 2 is the better option.
@@psyberiusblack Privacy is a poor argument. The difference for it is very small between these standalone devices. It's not clear at the moment). More people would probably pay that price point and get the controllers later, while $1,000+ would prevent them from even considering it, despite the final amount paid being the same.

Big thanks for review HTC Vive XR) I pre-ordered it) I think now this is the best headset for my long time sessions in VR for work.
I honestly think the Vive XR Elite would be perfect if their controllers were self tracked so that we can put the controllers behind our heads and back and stuff with out problems
OR..
OMG 2 points less FOV! OMG OMG 😂
@@dominicisidore two points less than what, the $400 budget headset that is the Quest 2? Quest 2 fov is already too small. For $1100 I was hoping the XR Elite’s fov would be at least comparable to the other pancake headsets like Quest Pro and Pico 4.
@@DanielCCaz Yes, it is smaller than Quest 2.
Sold on standalone lightweight glasses with continuous power and diopter !!!
Thanks! It's hard to tell if someone you don't already know on UA-cam is a good reviewer but your impressions feel similar to how I imagine myself feeling about a new device. I don't need perfect, I want something that doesn't have Meta software on it!
I've had so many headsets but out of all of them I still love my Rift S even over the quest 2 and Index. I wish they would make a Rift S2.0
Surprisingly, it seems that the price range between the xr elite and the quest pro is quite logical at the end.
Seb is HTC going to fix:
1) The faceplate from falling off.
@@rangerkayla8824 I think the next Pico is gonna be big too. They already started putting an all black model up.
I did just pulled the trigger on the Vive Elite so wish me luck🤞.
ay how was the vive elite
Thanks, great review!

Would be great if a game like eleven table tables can do mixed reality seeing the table in your own home.
You sold me on it. I plan to preorder it from amazon.
Why No DisplayPort??? Whyyyy???
Thanks for the follow up video...one question how was the sound? Assume nothing spectacular but not horrible. I am getting it for movie viewing on flights, work and less graphically intense social gaming like walkabout mini golf and Demeo. Will still use HP Reverb and perhaps upgrade to Crystal for PC vr. Price is an issue though, especially considering they do not include the $79 streaming cable with it. Happy to see a lot of hardware options coming out this year, hopefully that inspires more software content to follow.
The environment was a bit loud to determine. I would guess it's alright but probably not great.
I struggle to find relevant enterprise use case that justify the price tag. Nice device but who will buy it really?
Thanks for the intel! You put in so much work man...
How about DLNA and UA-cam 3D/VR support?
There's no point showing off the XR headset, without showing applications where it's worth the money. Show how it can be used in the workplace and make things more efficient or easier. If you can't show that then there's no point to them.
if i was getting married this month, id pick one up for pcvr, installment plans would be great
excellent, thank you.
Vive XR Elite because you can easily ecmxchange batteries!
I think I missed where it spoke about screen door effect ?!! Any time stamp
Hmmm 🤔 I wish I could see the binocular overlap issue on the Quest Pro. I’ve tried about every single consumer headset including Quest Pro and have never seen the issue. It’s that not one size fits all thing I think.
Great video thanks, I already have a HP Reverb V2 - would this be an upgrade?
Well, it's wireless...that is an upgrade. But in terms of clarity ...nope!
Still hard to beat pico 4 for the price. High res, high fov, best binocular overlap.
More comfortable than the PIco 4? The Rack, Thumb Screws and the Iron Maidon are more comfortable than Pico 4
Thanks
The only thing keeping me from purchasing the vive xr elite is does it support people with glasses that have astigmatism.
I don't think so.
I didn’t understand how they connect to the computer this is an overview xaxax
Hi another great video! Did you happen to use the diopter adjustments without your glasses and how do you rate them that way....I wear glasses and they are the bane of vr use. Thanks!
I did use the diopter adjustments and then did not wear my glasses within the headset. It worked fine!
Thanks Sebastian! Cool video! I'm very intrigued by this system but I'm a bit over the range for nearsightedness. Were you in the range? Do you think there will be a lens adapter for this system?
I'd think if you're -1 more then it's kinda fine, i live my life at -1 without glasses lol
I was in the range. I don't think someone would make lens adapters for it.. Not sure though!
Does it work with OpenXR?
The spongematerial is not sweatproof and needs a different inlay.
This with DP and a littlebit higher resolution @HTC and i buy it!
Was the Vive Streaming application you tested for Kyack VR an iteration of the Vive Business Streaming application that is on the Vive Focus 3 ? or something else?

@@DanielCCaz I want to compare final production Bigscreen Beyond to the final production of Shiftall MeganeX
I think mostly the advertised FoV's are the max someone can get out of it theoretically, but in practice pretty much no one gets out of it.

I think they will aim this at business, and in the fall offer a consumer version.
I would not be surprised to see that. The only issue is that they are not currently marketing it to businesses, but direct to gamers (ie pre-order package). If they do change that and target consumers with a later product it will likely be dumbed down even more at that point.

@@Snuggieman you are better off looking at the G2 HP Reverb to be honest. This is over price for what is not an upgrade from the Quest 2.

The quest does have a separate games store from vive. When you open the original HTC vive, you are booted into the steam ecosystem. Can you choose to do that while wireless and play the games capable of running on lower hardware?
