    • @herrensaar1989
      @herrensaar1989 Рік тому +1

      Yep, Janus made the prototype, while Niklas tried to find investors. Skype is no more Estonian, than Apple is Chinese.
      Finding investors didn't gather the success they had hoped, and not nearly enough, to hire a whole team. So they then hired Estonian developers Zahti Heinla, Priit Kasesalu and Jaan Tallinn for no salory, but a stake in the company instead, and outsides some of the more rudimental coding to an Indian company to finnish the Alpha version.
      But somehow where 3 of 5 owners lived, made it an Estonian company. WHich many estions for some reason are really proud of.

    • @tdrm
      @tdrm Рік тому

      @@herrensaar1989 your story is missing Kazaa. Jaan Tallinn, Niklas Zennström, and Janus Friis were all working together on Kazaa before Skype already. Skype's P2P tech is based on Kazaa. The truth is that no single country can claim the whole founding. Attempts to pull it in such a direction are wrong.
      Also your comparison with Apple+China is extremely misleading as well. China only does the assembly of the phones. The design and even the manufacturing of the chips doesn't happen in China. For Kazaa/Skype, the full production cycle happened in Estonia. The design, the architecture, the programming. The Skype headquarters was in Estonia. Apple headquarters has never been in China.

    Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Putting our time and effort in activities and investments that will yield a profitable return in the future is what we should be aiming for. Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. "You're not going to remember those expensive shoes you bought ten years ago, but you will remember every single morning when you look at your bank account that extra 0 in there. Eventually uber also copied bolts strat but it was too late by then. The two companies always copied each other mostly bolt copying Uber (Uber launched uber eats, bolt launched Bolt food a years later) but undercutting them on price or percentage they take from drivers and delivery guys

    As a Tunisian Citizen i want to EXPOSE the DARK TRUTH about "Bolt" that no one dares to talk about, especially of its subsidiary in Tunisia !!
    At a time when “Bolt Tunisia” was supposed to help solve transportation problems for taxi users, this app undermined the market and committed numerous abuses that became the source of many complaints by people that even state institutions did not deal with with sufficient firmness. Bolt Tunisia is suspected of tax evasion and money laundering, in addition to its violation of the laws regarding personal data protection and for placing the personal data of Tunisian citizens on the authority of an Israeli company.
    When Bolt announced in 2018 about its intention to enter the Tunisian market, it was expected that it would contribute to helping solve part of the urban transport problems, especially in Greater Tunis metropolitan area (The provinces of Tunis, Ariana, Ben Arous and Manouba), which It represents the largest population gathering in the Republic of Tunisia, with about 3 million people, or nearly a quarter of the Tunisian society.
    “Bolt” practically launched its activity in 2019. In a short time of only two months, it succeeded in attracting more than 2,200 taxi drivers, according to a former employee.
    The same former employee said in his interview to a digital newspaper: “At that time, we adopted a smart policy based on granting attractive privileges to taxi drivers in order to attract them. The marketing policy that we have adopted was mainly based on granting the drivers who deal with us a commission rate equal to 100% !!!, a smart phone and an internet service estimated at 25 gigabytes, along with a training course in using the platform designated for drivers. All this in exchange for working with the application for a period of no less than 8 hours a day with the aim of promoting it, which is what really happened, as we achieved record results.”
    In parallel, there was also a large fieldwork, the same source adds, saying: “Bolt's team was working like a beehive. A group travels in order to attract taxis on the streets, in car parkings, and in front of major gas stations, in order to persuade them to join the company by enticing them with expected profits. And another group was working at the headquarters, receiving dozens of drivers and taxi owners daily, as the scene soon became based on queues in front of the company for those who were waiting to get their commission or who joined the work within the institution, as the process of affixing the “Bolt” brand logo to the cars was taking place. newly joined.”
    In fact, until August 2020, we do not know on what legal and institutional basis this activity was taking place. By returning to the archive of this company in the Tunisian National Registry of Companies , we find that the creation of the “Poloison STP” company took place in the summer of 2020, that is, after nearly two years or more have passed since the start of the actual activity.
    This company that manages the activity of “Bolt Tunisia” presents itself in official documents as a software company. It was established with a “non-resident” Maltese capital of about 99.99 percent and a contribution of about 0.01 from “non-resident” Sweden. The same organization operating the application holds the status of a limited liability company.
    According to the document extracted from the National Registry of Enterprises, the capital of the “Poloizone STP” company, upon its launch, amounted to about 10,000 Tunisian dinars (about 3100 USD).
    In this context, Bolt’s spokeswoman, Nthapising Mokwena, who is the Director of Public Relations for the Africa Department, says in an e-mail that was received on the Al-Kateba digital newspapper in response to a set of questions that we directed to the CEO of “Bolt Tunisia” Jihad Al-Nafzi, that Bolt has historically worked in Tunisia. Through a “first partner” which is “BLT Tunisie LTD” and later “Poloison STP.”
    On the other hand, she refused to comment on what she considered “the commercial affairs of Bolt’s former partners,” as she put it.
    And by the way, Clas Martin Johansson, the founder of Poloison STP in Tunisia, a Swedish citizen, has acquired the “Bolt” franchise from the original owner, Markus Villig.
    A “franchise” or commercial franchise right is defined as an agreement in which the owner of a project or an existing trademark grants a license to a second party to operate and practice the same activity using the name of the first original brand, whether through the use of the same name, manufacturing system, distribution, production, sales, or these elements combined. In exchange for the original brand obtaining a percentage of the profits and revenues or a certain value provided in exchange for granting the franchise right, or both.
    The data reveals a fraudulent legal process that those in charge of the “Tunisian Bolt” pursued. This delusion lies in the mismatch of the real activity, which is transportation in the field of taxis, with what is authorized in the company's formation documents - Poloison STP - which included activities related to software development and maintenance.
    As for the second contradiction, it lies in the failure to adhere to the standards and conditions of the “franchise”, as it usually relates to purely commercial activities, which in this case does not coincide with the aforementioned company that claims that its activity is related to the field of media. This is in addition to the lack of respect for the advantages of the “Bolt” brand abroad, where private cars with high quality specifications are used and provided in accordance with the terms of the commercial franchise rights, according to what was reported by specialists and experts in the legal establishment of companies.
    This is just a summary, if you want to see the full source (in arabic) you can find it in the digital newspaper link:
    alqatiba.com/2022/09/30/%D8%AA%D9%84-%D8%A3%D8%A8%D9%8A%D8%A8-%D8%A8%D9%88%D9%84%D8%B7-%D8%AA%D9%88%D9%86%D8%B3-%D8%BA%D8%B4-%D8%B6%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A8%D9%8A-%D9%85%D8%B9%D8%B7%D9%8A%D8%A7%D8%AA-%D8%B4%D8%AE%D8%B5%D9%8A%D8%A9/
