The power of Oligarchs to ruin a country is astounding. George Soros is actively trying to destroy the U.S. justice system, and he's doing a phenomenal job, and has swayed public opinion to favoring criminals over victims.
The corporate news media use their monstrous power to bring trans rights to the head of the pack of the most important issue in our country. All kinds of jurisdictions are making rules, policies, regulations, and laws about pronoun usage. My local government has mandatory employee indoctrination meetings to discuss pronoun usage.

That’s not necessary true though, you really don’t know if Yahoo’s competitor will be better than Yahoo if they received the money. I think inherently product itself and user experience always wins no matter, that’s why today we use Google. It doesn’t matter how early they established foothold, the market will determine what the best product for them looks like.

    • @54365100
      @54365100 Рік тому

@@TheJelloash No. Take Uber for example, they used the money they had from investment to flood local markets with cheaper rides than their competitors, hoping to starve them into bankruptcy, and they did that for years with quite a success. There are a plethora of ways to economically manipulate markets, otherwise cartels, monopsonies and monopolies would never be a concern.
Its beyond naive to believe that god market will always make things right in the end. Superior quality of service or product is not the main impact factor in the success or market share of a company

When I was living in Japan, my CDMA mobile and service plan was with SoftBank.
One thing that made SoftBank preferable is because they also designed services catering to more clientele and understood the types of phone use foreigners might desire in the early-mid era of mass mobile implementation into day-to-day life.
Back in those days when I just just striding out on my own in a world of working with corporate internal sales and acquisitions for Australian firms and we had made various in-roads with Japanese clientele and suppliers. It was also one of the few times I had ventured out into the wider world as an adult.
SoftBank was literally the easiest option as a foreigner needing a prepaid mobile with decent connection speed and, back then, generous data limits at price competitive points that it made sense to mass supply SoftBank phone and phone services to all travelling business types coming into Japan.
    Good times, good times.
Jesus Christ, I suddenly feel old.

Good job on explaining/showing everyone about him. Over the years people I meet money wise I find it interesting how they all work.
Not many work like he does but a bunch now do. Reminds me of how some big deals happen on golf courses over few games and not in the normal way of like example getting a product into chain stores. Then makes me think of psychology of marketing, most people are not just buying a product they are buying the emotions they feel manly. Same thing happens with big business, they buy into the person/idea/drive so on.
People loyal to coke keep buying it even after they say Pepsi tastes better. Tesla another one and with no paid marketing and people are loyal to the brand as well elon. Other brands/companies see this but still don't do whats proven to work they keep to what they think is safe even if they lose money.

    1:30 FALSE STORY***
    Source: Son’s autobiography
He is a third generation Korean-Japanese businessman. Son Sam-heon, the father of Chairman Son Masayoshi, was born at 128 Ipseok-dong (10), Dong-gu, Daegu. At that time, his grandfather, Son Jong-kyung (11), was a poor farmer who cultivated rice, but it is said that in the 1930s, the Japanese Army lost land to farm when it built an aviation airfield.
So, when the way to make a living became difficult, he led his family to Japan to make money, and he returned to his hometown after liberation, but his living was still difficult, so he stayed there for about a year and went back to Japan to settle in Kyushu. My grandfather worked as a mining worker in Japan, and my grandmother used to put food waste in a handcart and use it as livestock feed. When I was young, he couldn't see well because both his father and mother were working outside, and he grew up playing in a handcart pulled by his grandmother. Masayoshi Son once shed tears in an empty space, telling the story of his grandmother's suffering and visiting Korea with her grandmother.
It was in his parents' generation that the Son Masayoshi family raised their fortune. Masayoshi Son's father, Son Sam-heon, ran a small loan business and raised his fortune in the pachinko business. His father had a good business sense, and for example, he created a paid fishing spot in the pachinko parking lot and asked for a bonus of 10,000 yen, saying, "If you catch a red carp, you'll get a bonus." The customer who lost it in pachinko tried to win money in fishing and the bonus went back to pachinko. At the same time, Son Jung-eui moved to Yahatanishi-gu, Kitakyushu City in 1964, attended Hikino Elementary School, and then moved to Sawara-gu, Fukuoka City, while attending Hikino Middle School in 1970.

I played a small role working in ARM from 2017-2018; my role in China was to design-in eSIM and iSIM for Chinese Smartphones and IoT cellular module manufacturers, A few years after I left,t ARM spun this business out into an independant entity called Kigen and it literally took nearly 5 years to finally scale eSIM and iSIM (thanks to Apple and other). I met Masa while working in Gemalto, Beijing China a decade ago. I still feel the ARM purchase goal from the Brits by Masa was to eventually flip it to Chinese investors eventually - very geopolitical if you ask me. The whole ARM China project was a disastrous situation that is haunting Softbank to this day. You never mentioned the China Mini ARM story...why not? Thanks, Karl Weaver

Well, you know Japanese culture, they easily admit mistake with a bow, no repercussions thereafter. Gone were the honors of the Samurai days, when honor means one's life.

great video ... very professional and informative, i know that I'm an average sales employee in an average company but this doesn't mean that i can't criticise Masa, he was throwing billions without proper due diligence, he was and he is a billionaire ... i wondering how he invested in WEwork he could hire the team to do such a job before throwing billions in this company or other failed companies.
I'm inspired by his optimism and his adventurous spirit but betting on each horse in the race will never make you money.

Masayoshi Son is the reason you have to have monopoly laws to breakup companies every once in a while. Some business leaders are just ungodly competent, aggressive and dominant. Reminds me a lot of Musk - Masa might be the best business story I've ever heard. Dude makes the guy in There will be Blood look like a chump
