Lots of really experienced professionals watched this video. Wonder why? I'm an amateur - that's explains why I'm here, and I think this is brilliant!
I used this technique and it works great. I always struggled in getting professional looking caulk lines. I am just an average handyman and don't apply caulk for a living, this helps get nice clean lines.
This video is really impressive. Fascinated to see #frameless designs and creativity that implemented in office. Keep up the great work.
You are kidding me right? The frameless idea is great but how they caulked this is just freakin atrocious. Pure set up for service in no time.
great tip....thanks for sharing!
What happens if you have an air pocket or wedge section where the silicon didn't fill the corner and then you spray it with the glass cleaner to prevent sticking? Wouldn't that ensure no silicon gets in that wedge and thereby defeating the silicon job?
Looks great
awesome idea
I silicone showers all the time. Yes i can go slow to satisfy all of the recent critiques. but the bottom line is air bubbles after its all done. PEOPLE NEED TO SEE WHOLE VIDEO
Really works well. Should have bought one sooner.
where can i buy top quality clear silicone from... that chemical moisture barrier that's in the silicone...
Where can I buy pivots and glass bracket
What brand of glass cleaner was that?
that's how I do silicone except i use a paper towel and not only spray the silicone with glass cleaner but also the paper towel...it works pretty great you should try it
What is the name of the aerosol spray?
What's the spray for?
What is it Spray?
OK......YOUR THE BEST AND I WILL NOW DO IT YOUR WAY. PLEASE SUBMIT VIDEO RESPONSE FROM LICHO LAND.
its actually sprayaway glass cleaner but they got it from crl
i've tried to find Charlie Sheen glass cleaner on the web.
No luck.Is there anyone who can provide a link?
Thx
My co-worker does that, I find it unnecessary. I use no spray and tool with my finger
There is a special squeegee to clean silicon , not a wood shim. also at the corner silicon should go thru the other side, so it gets between two panel, not a great job, sorry.
agree made a mess of that wow
This is the craziest shit I've ever seen.
the key is not to mix it with other quemicals like salive...or water ,,, silicone gets weeken wont last long ...buy it at a commercial sealents place ..ssi but if you be mixing with water when is wet you void the strenght ...i do commercial work ,,leak repairs in exterior glass walls ,,my work gets inspected in labs for any other quemicals in sealents if they find some we have to cut it5 and re do it again... must be pure to last
That was painful to watch. You know once you get the razor blade out to start cleaning the silicone off the glass that you fucked up. Just thinking about cleaning all that shit up ruined my day, and I don't even have to do it. If you're not good enough to run a bead, at least mask everything off so you end up with a good result.
Oh god, the worst. Couldn;t have said it better. If i have to get a razor out to clean off my silicone job, even if it's just a little tiny spot of excess, i feel if i have failed lol. I'd feel like such a hack if i glazed this way.
This is the most Mickey Mouse shit I have ever seen
Learn how to use a caulking gun and run one continuous bead!!! My god you made a mess of that.
Lmao yes he did, I DO NOT wet glaze unless I absolutely have to (large gaps on the shower), and even then i hate doing it. I take pride in doing my silicone job in one continuous shot with no need to touch-up or press the silicone in. If you wet glaze it basically screams "i cant neatly silicone worth a shit" lol.
Just last week they invented this amazing tool that will give you the best silicone job ever, it is called MASKING TAPE, you need to use high grade tape for example what you would use on painting cars.
companies make their own name brand but is just a regular glass cleaner they just pay for logos ...dont do what they do do wetting the glass and metal are while the have to do more silicone work the dont know... wath the also use their tonge ...like water is not enough
What a bunch of f..n' amateurs, if I applied silicone like this I'd be out of business long long time ago. ...and you actually have the balls to show this as some kind of educational video! .....the way (angle) the guy holds the gun, is already a mortal sin. Go get a job!
Tape that shit off
The spays called shit away, hides all bulls ups... Also comes in black
Spray not spay
crlaurance
Tape it off !!!!
Thats alot of mess to clean up lol
No way
*interfering
"So the glass cleaner keeps the silicone from sticking to anything". isn't the point to get the silicone to stick?! This is a hack job! Terrible. My second year apprentice said this video was used in trade school to show them what NOT to do! Now I see why!
T ynomite very true.
That glass cleaner has the potential to ruin the curing of that silicone. I’d like to see that silicone up close. I’m sure it’s smeared all over that glass.
Guaranteed leaks and mess!
Guess they're not big on privacy lol
messssssssssssssssssss !!!!!!!!!
Shower was ok. Glazing job was the worst ever.
spit, nice. black silicone coming the clients way in a month or two, buy the proper tool and get an 18v gun if you can't even bead with a manual. If you're watching this as a how to, go find another vid because this is the cowboy builder how to.
these arent doors
you guys did a mess ,I'm a glazier that is not the right way to do silicone for frame less shower enclosures
sam david you should watch whole video
Using spray away is totally not necessary you tool.
bahahaha..if you use soapy water or glass cleaner like that...the cleaner gets in between the caulking and substrate ...and leaves holes..or a bad seal ... please dont ever use stuff like that on caulking...EVER..
horrible. don`t ever do this. Use blue/green painters tape and a plastic putty knife and ur good.
This is the wrong way to do it what a MESS.
Wow, you would be soooo Fired if you worked were I work.
Using your fingers to screed your silicone is sooo kindergarten and unprofessional.
How do people let you get away with this?
What do you use?
Blue tape it!
This is a fuckin mess.
amateur video & installation
nasty job you guys did wetting metal and walls not wearing you covers, walking in wet areas and steeping in carpet with wet shoes
Wow. Please do not ever come over to my place and install my shower you lazy ass company
What name of that spray?
