- Poster cervical laminectomy with fusion - taking questions. This one is “could you sleep in bed after you got home from the hospital?” My hint for getting to that point was using a zero gravity chair.
Here's the zero graviy chair I used: amzn.to/3xfC81n

Great tip. My insurance covers renting a bed. Your video's help me. Going to have surgery very soon and I'm a bit nervous about it.
Many thanks from the Netherlands.
glad they could help some. Hope the surgery went well for you.
Thank u. I’ll be get surgery soon and never thought about a zero gravity chair
It really was a big help for me. Hope the surgery goes well!
I just ordered one for my up and coming surgery.
Thanks for all of your videos Diane. I am 8 wks post op and still struggling with balance and nerve pain in my hands. I was a c7-t1 posterior laminectomy and fusion with cord compression to the point that I developed a “claw hand”. I am impatient and wish recovery was faster. Hard collar x 3 months for me. Your videos were very helpful😊
Jan - I understand the impatience completely! I’m glad that my videos have been helpful and wish you all the best for getting stronger as each day passes.
@DianeMoore Thanks for the encouragement Diane 😊. I am chomping at the bit to get back to my life!
Thanks for the info. I have a zero gravity setting on my bed so glad to hear that worked the best for you. Will use that for my upcoming surgery.
Great. Hope all goes well!
Thank you. I’m a little freaked out.
Thanks!👍
hope it helps, John!
did you suffer from severe fatigue before surgery, and if so, has it resolved since?
Fatigue after the surgery lasted a good 5 to 6 months before I felt "normal" in the energy category. I guess I was tired before just from the stress of losing my mobility, but it wasn't anything like post-surgery tiredness.
Hi Diane thank you for the videos. I am having a PCDF on the 24th of October this year. Did you have any problems swallowing after surgery?
I had no issues. Just the normal stuff with having a tube down your throat with anesthesia etc but that lasted no more than a day.
Hi Diane, Did you get full feeling back in your legs and arms, I'm 3 months into my recovery. I'm feeling alot of tingling and itching, I'm sure this is a good sign although really frustrating for me at the moment.
Hi Vicky - except for some lingering issues with my right hand, yes. And I remember what you’re talking about with the tingling and itching - hopefully it’s nerves “waking up”
Does your neck make noise after surgery
@@tonytony8254 Crackley-crunchy. After 6 weeks mine still does. But it's getting better week by week. Only have warmth back in hands and feet. Still waiting on balance and stability to do away with the stumbling drunk walk.
