    Those are great ideas. I was anAmazon flex driver and I delivered both groceries and packages. There are a lot of people who live in 3rd floor apartments who order a lot of groceries and heavy cases of water. If you're considering any delivery service, keep that in mind. I loved the job, but it was hard on my body.

    Hey Diane, fellow Diane and almost 55 yr old here 😊 I’m absolutely loving your channel. I just found it today so I don’t know if you have already done this, but have you made a video on the process of making videos and what gear you use ? I’ve only watched two videos of yours but the lighting is great, the camera focusing etc everything is wonderful. And sidenote your skin is so beautiful and glowing! But have you made videos about the process of making videos or editing? If so can you direct me to it. Thanks, HAGD Edit: as soon as I posted the comment it got to the point in your video where you said you’re using an iPhone and a tripod, but maybe you can share the settings and process, lav mic? My husband needs whatever the surgery is that they go through the front of your neck to fix the problems that are in the back part of neck. I can’t remember what’s it’s called, but I’m wondering if this might be the same. Insurance required so many epidurals first which he already has had. The neurosurgeon said he likes his patients to take 6 months for recovery! He is 62 and still has to work full time. The insurance to help pay for this is from his job. Do you mind me asking what you do for health insurance? That is one of the biggest reasons we don’t make some changes in our life ; health insurance. We aren’t old enough for Medicare yet. Thank you ..

    • @DianeMoore

      I think that would be an ACDF surgery (anterior/front). My experience was with PCDF (back directly into vertebrae). There are several ACDF videos on UA-cam. I’m sorry he has to go through this - none is fun. I am blessed to have health insurance through my employer. (Not old enough for Medicare either) I hope you can find something that works out for you!

    I would say a part-time job is far superior to these “Side Hustles” that need time and some money to market. The nice thing about a part-time job can be predictable income and hours. A high percentage of side hustles will fail statistics show as far as starting a small business. Some people will get laid off or fired from a part-time job, but far less will end up with no earnings like most side hustles.

    • @DianeMoore
      @DianeMoore 6 годин тому

      I see your point and appreciate the stability a part time job offers. But there’s a wide spectrum of factors at play here depending on choices. Hopefully people can try a few different things and find what works best for them.

    When my company closed during the pandemic, I started my own online reselling business at age 60 so I could pay bills. I began by selling my own clothes, accessories and home décor and added thrifted items when the stores reopened. Now at age 64, I earn more than I did working for someone else, and the extra income supplements my Social Security and pension benefits. I set my own schedule and can put my shop on vacation hold when I want to travel. I only wish I’d done this sooner!

    I turned 60 this past July 2024 and retired 2 years ago. I started collecting pennies again like I did when I was little. Which led me to coin roll hunting and selling interesting coins on Ebay. There are TONS of coin roll hunting videos on youtube. I got hooked on coin roll hunting after selling two weird pennies I found, each for over $50 on ebay! It is not a regular income but pays more than the bank does in interest. And if you find a rare coin that collectors are searching for, you could make thousands. So start by searching through and any jars or piggy banks full of coins at your house and see if you hit the jackpot!!! I have started selling older coins for collector's books because it took me forever to find those for my books. Good Luck!

    The ignored value of UA-cam is to use it to market your service or product. Im not talking about an old school tv commercial, but make it like more a late night cable infomercial. Made with love sells - people can tell! Just have to get them in front of your buyers.

      People spend LOTS of money on their pets! Sounds like a great option

    I'm still less than 3 yrs from 50, but I'm struggling over here. I actually Instacart and Spark, sell on eBay and other platforms, make cakes and candies for people, as well as do gift baskets / gift set, and am looking into doing possible crafts and such. I really need find something more simply cause the cakes, candies and gift baskets / sets are seasonal or randomly, not consistent. I take care of my 77 yr old FIL so need find things at home.

      Sounds like you are VERY creative! If bet you can land on some craft options that work.

      @DianeMoore I'm researching markets to get ideas. They say those who become successful have at least 7 income streams. Lol. I'm 4 in and working on a 5th and looking for other. Pretty much since most of what I do is not every day income streams.
