Targeting BIG Walleyes on Structure | How to Find the Spot on the Spot

- My wife and I took a vacation to one of my favorite bodies of water for big fish - Rainy Lake. We had incredible accommodations at Sunset country outfitters and caught a ton of big fish. In this first video, I show exactly how I break down mid lake structure to target some of the biggest fish in the lake. Thanks for watching!

Great video! Appreciate the HB chart insights!
Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed!!
I seen that thumbnail and was like hmmm that looks really familiar. Kinda like that reef on nam just off of pat smith. Haha and sure enough.
Great stuff stuff man!!
Haha you bet! I’ve had a couple people reach out and say that! I’ve never been on the lake, but looked similar to stuff I was fishing so I figured I’d use it 😂
Great video, nice walleyes.
Thank you very much! Appreciate the support! 👊
Sweet video!!
Thanks, Marc! Was a ton of fun! Already missing it!
Very informative video!

Heading up to kabetogama for the first time at the end of May, just wondering what depths you would target during that time of the year? say 15-20? Also does the target depth change much with regard to water temp since this year has been so warm, easy winter? Assuming they will mostly be out of the shallows, not sure what water temp will be by then. I dont keep anything and its just me heading up, just looking for some suggestions on where to look, hoping to catch a couple and relax, cant beat the peace and quite in my 16' lund resort boat!
You bet! Sounds like a great time! My guess is they will be adjacent to some of the spawning grounds on points or maybe some of the first breaklines. I just posted a video with a ton of info that should be super helpful! ua-cam.com/video/yrgzUkexGeo/v-deo.htmlsi=o3U62s55q6GgF67G
Smaller fish are 25", eh? You must be getting spoiled, TJ. Ha, ha, ha. I got a 26 a couple weeks ago and that's my personal best. 😆 I'd love to connect with you sometime when I make a road trip over to Crosslake. My cousin owns Pine Terrace Resort over there on a little pond called Star Lake just west of the town. I think it would be a hoot to do "Two Teachers in a Boat" sort of collaboration. Ha!
Rainy lake is a special place that’s for sure! Some days a 25” is a giant, but out there, it
can be very average! 😂 that would be great! The trick is always finding time! Haha
Have you gone through your summer settings for livescope? I know you did an ice video but I’d assume there are a few differences.
I have not done one yet, there are a couple of minor differences, but I honestly run pretty close to the same settings year round!
What rod were you using in the video. Thanks!
It is a 7’ ML Rosemore Outdoor Gear “Double L”. I use a 7’ M if I’m using mono
Nice
Thanks, Scott! Was a fun bite!

@@tjsguideservice please enjoy watching...I am no competition just have a survival channel..some vids in German some mix match german english
What are you fishing with. You jig very aggressive. If i do that on my live scope the fish are scared of my jig.
That is a jigging rap. It is a reaction style bait. It can definitely spook fish at times, but big walleyes love em!
@@tjsguideservice well I'll be damned. Tried it on my fishing trip in Kipawa River in Quebec and out fish my son and uncle with this bait. Thanks
@@gillesbrassard7826 glad to hear it! Nice work!
Good videos but unrelated to most who can’t afford a $5000 livescope
Thanks for watching! You appreciate the feedback! Same principles can be applied within livescope. That’s how I approached those lakes for years, but it does become much more efficient with livescope!
I don’t want to watch you catch fish… I want to see you find fish… without electronics. Until you can do that, you aren’t a fisherman in the truest sense, you’re simply a content creator on UA-cam. Educate people… don’t entertain.
