Wow! Just downloaded the Van Halen presets on my Line 6 Helix Stomp. I just bought it about a month ago and realized this thing is horrible without changing the stock presets. It was a bit of a learning curve for a plug in and play guy like myself, but man, thanks so much Andy, the tones are awesome man!
Sounds great! Nailed it 100%!
nice sound... dial back the phaser just a bit.
I'll be popping in a lot to check out your presets! These and the Hendrix ones are bang on.
I just got a stomp and I love it
Pretty epic EVH tone. I love the stompbox though, fucking awesome little unit.
Lovin all this buddy.. Keep up the fab work and more presets please! Have just Subbed too.. Rock On!
Fractal III for the win
Sounds great, mate!!!
Nice
Sounds very good!
Awesome thanks so much

thank you .I'm very like your move
Posted it on Helix Club
woww its a great tutorial. could you please create Paul Gilbert Presets for song "Just take my heart" and "green tinted sixties mine"
Great video man! Can you make a Richie Kotzen type tone for the stomp, would love to have it!!
Ditto
Sounds great but too much gain, early EVH wasn’t as much gain as you think just a lot of reverb
Everyone does same presets
How about some Van Hagar and Diver down sounds too?
hey ! I Followed your steps and it doesn´t sound nothing like the video. Can you give me a hint ? It sounds with less distortion and no bass at all. like too thin. maybe you can help me out! thank you!!!
Not even close, forget the 5150 amp... you can find the real brown sound in Van Halen I album.
Why don’t you use your computer it’s so much easier and you can see everything at once
I find it amusing that everyone picks a Marshall for Ed's tone and a 5150 is in there... lol
I mean I loved all his tones
ack.............
The thing with these demos is that people are convinced that someone had the Brown Sound nailed if they play well. His playing is great, but there’s way too much gain on his early tone and it overall just sounds like an early-2000s effects processor trying to get the Brown Sound. I’m not a tone purist, I just have functioning ears.
Agreed. Sounds like an effects processor to me. Which it is. That being said I think it’s good for a practice amp type sound but I couldn’t gig with that sound. Just my opinion. 🤘🤘🤘
nah ...too dry ...
No,not good,too thin,too synthétic.
horse shit. I have multiple tube heads, 5150's, carvin legacys, and its very difficult to get that tone and sound without a lot of horse shit and noise. it sounds good and to be able to get it from a little box is insane honestly. I started playing in the late 80s, then digitec started releasing digital effects. you wanna hear stuff that sounds like shit listen to the early digital stuff. this is leaps and bounds over that
