Just did mine, same as this with metal cover. Did you notice the engine clicks louder? Im trying to troubleshoot the clicking noises under acceletraion. I think I need to install the foam insalator over the valve cover, the clicking I think is from the fuel system high pressure fuel injectors, just makes me nervious. Also I'm thinking its more noisy because its metal instead of plastic. Did you notice any difference in noise?
@@drewsXR650L the loud clicking is the high pressure fuel pump it’s perfectly normal. The foam and engine cover reduce the noise. I personally keep the foam cover off because I believe it keeps the parts hot, reducing the life of the HPFP. Not 100% sure if it’s true but just my personal belief
I apologize. I believe the crank pulley bolt was a 22mm. If you have the air box removed you can see and access the crank bolt simply turn the engine clockwise and observe the cam follower go down in the bore
Nice job

gonna put this clip back so I dont lose it....Jesus!
😂😂😂
The attached gasket is not very durable. Buy the original gasket to make it last longer.
You never showed us anything regarding what to do to install the high pressure fuel pump if it’s too high
