I just got Rekt Planet 2 weeks ago, the comic looks amazing, some of the best art I’ve ever seen. I got the 2 Villain & Hero variant covers and they’re amazing with the chrome covers. But yea it takes him too long to make them, he should be bringing out at least 1 comic per year, at the very least, I’d like to see one every 6 months.

Ethan has resolved to be faster in the future. What held him up, IMO, was how much he focused on making toys and figures instead of just books. I think he should finish his series before jumping into that. Fulfillment for all these big side projects is taking too much time away from the story he needs to write and draw.

Only tried Rippaverse because of EVS. Am enjoying the world. Isom is getting better. Alpha Core was amazing. (No surprise considering there creative team on the book.) I am looking forward to Mike Baron's Rippaverse entry and the entry from the Soska sisters. I have never been a fan of Mr. July's commentary but will continue to try Rippaverse books. I hope that Eric continues to improve as a writer. I hope the overhead that he has accrued does not weigh his operation down. But this video he posted was just plain odd. That video where Riley was sticking dollars on Ethan's windows and Ethan was there -- that was a hilarious video. It definitely softened my view of Riley, knowing that he was capable of making fun of himself. On another note, I always find it weird that I literally did 13 videos critiquing ISOM #1, and my general assessment is still more favorable than many of its critics. I think it's a good story that was hampered by too many little flaws, and most of the people criticizing it the most for not being a complete "Hero's Journey" issue aren't taking into account that it's only Part 1 of a 3-part arc. In comparison, ISOM #2 was a dumpster dive -- ISOM #1 is more on par with ALPHACORE #1, in that ALPHACORE is a solid old-style comic book heroes vs. villains book (thanks to Chuck Dixon's writing), but, like ISOM #1, ALPHACORE #1 also has an enormous number of flaws covering the whole spectrum of its creation (including a potential hidden white supremacy shoutout that I hope to God I'm just imagining).

I'm not a big fan of EJ, though I wish him well with his venture and think he's coming off better than his two detractors here. I first knew RL from his coverage of the Depp trial but he's degenerated into a joke with his bile and two-faced pettiness surrounding EJ's conflict with his pals. AI art looks like artwork done by novice artists who haven't developed and refined their own styles so they copy from other other works of art. Also, I could think of ideas for stories that AI would never produce in a million years.

I think the moral of the story is that eric july is just a typical youtuber, thin skinned and afraid his gravy train of a "job" is gonna dry up. On another note, I always find it weird that I literally did 13 videos critiquing ISOM #1, and my general assessment is still more favorable than many of its critics. I think it's a good story that was hampered by too many little flaws, and most of the people criticizing it the most for not being a complete "Hero's Journey" issue aren't taking into account that it's only Part 1 of a 3-part arc. In comparison, ISOM #2 was a dumpster dive -- ISOM #1 is more on par with ALPHACORE #1, in that ALPHACORE is a solid old-style comic book heroes vs. villains book (thanks to Chuck Dixon's writing), but, like ISOM #1, ALPHACORE #1 also has an enormous number of flaws covering the whole spectrum of its creation (including a potential hidden white supremacy shoutout that I hope to God I'm just imagining).

EVS seems to hate other indie comic creators. Going after Eric is easy because he gives the trolls attention. But EVS has smeared other creators as well like the Kamen America creators. To him, indie comics are lobsters in a bucket. He can only make it if he destroys his competition, or at least humiliates them
Yeah, evs hates other indie comic creators, which is why he goes out of his way to campaign for indie comic creators. Promotes them, helps sell their comics, and ensures that indie comics have an audience.
I'm not a big fan of EJ, though I wish him well with his venture and think he's coming off better than his two detractors here. I first knew RL from his coverage of the Depp trial but he's degenerated into a joke with his bile and two-faced pettiness surrounding EJ's conflict with his pals. I'm more disappointed in EVS since I've been a fan of his work, but I've gotten the impression that he's a guy with limited filters who "tells it like it is" - or how he thinks it is - with little forethought of rubbing his working relations the wrong way. EJ was still talking to him after he'd burned bridges with the G&G and FNT groups, and now that bridge is burning as well.
Lost all respect for the Nick over this. He should have never gotten involved but he always has to get his grubby drunk paws into everything... and EVS is just jealous his frog isn't selling as well.

The great thing is that thanks to AI platforms like Chat GPT and MidJourney, people will soon be able to make their own personal comics in a matter of days, if not hours, and all of this drama amongst artists will be avoided.
And all of them will be better than ISOM
And artists will own nothing and be happy, replaced for convenance
AI art looks like artwork done by novice artists who haven't developed and refined their own styles so they copy from other other works of art. Also, I could think of ideas for stories that AI would never produce in a million years.
