Thank you to everyone letting me know Harper's throat slash is nothing new. Braves announcers still took it the wrong way though, obviously. Wild stuff going on in Philly

Yeah relating the throat thing to the tragedies going on in that region is a wildly inappropriate and disrespectful take. These announcers need to chill with this soft attitude and let guys celebrate. None of this should have been that deep, on either side.

The analysts being salt is due to the games being on Turner & they want "their Braves" to win. So they were all salt over there that Harper was making them pay. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
Hopefully next year the MLB playoffs can be on a major network. The most electric time of the year. How isn't the Fall classic not on ABC, NBC etc...? Phillies fan's for the 2nd year gotta deal with a Bias network in the Division series.
Phillies were giving the Braves the upmost respect all week going into the series and throughout. Arcia should know better. The media attention expands once the playoffs begin..This isnt the reporters fault. Stay humble, we are in a day in age where social media rules the world. Braves got lucky & won game 2. They were going off like they been dominanting this series. They haven't been. Why is Arcia the one even going off? If I was Acuna or one of the leaders of that team with reporters in there I would have pulled Arcia aside. Robinson Cano said it best. Keep it professional & wait for the reporters to leave the area. I guaranteed you if the shoes were reversed and someone on The Phillies did this they would have been reported on as well.

I'm a phillies fan and I can guarantee that philly media and fans would be bitching about a throat slash gesture if the shoe was on the other foot. The Phillies players wouldn't, and to be fair, none of the Braves are complaining either.

Not sure if I'm the old guy in the room now, but after a hiatus from baseball for almost a decade, these celebrations have taken a turn. I remember when players would get upset if you took too long to run the bases or admired your home run. Now it's almost the opposite. I actually think it adds something new to the game, whether good or bad.

I would say that Bryce Eldar and Brad Hand shouldn’t have hung curveballs to Harper. That contributed wayyyy more to him hitting two home runs than being somehow extra focused in a tied NLDS series when the game is also tied in a big spot. It’s a cute story though

  • @Dpressplays

  • @President_Pudding

Braves fan here: this video never should have been made because reporting locker room trash talk after a big win is completely unnecessary. Phillies broadcasters and Atlantas both need to chill TF out. It sucks to see Harper show up one of my guys, especially when he's scoring runs at the same time. But the way he went about it was perfectly fine. Nobody got injured, the game didn't get delayed, just two athletes showing some competition. Which is exactly what I expect these guys to do. I've heard some people trying to say that Arcia has no business mocking Harper because he's "not on Harper's level" which is straight dumbass talk. Considering Arcia never lost the Braves a game by doing that, I'd say he has every right to say it. But at the end of the day, who gives a shit what guys say in a locker room after a game? I sure don't care.
