When utility and bench players are hitting at a clip of almost .400 combined...you know your team is destined for greatness. Never seen anything like this and I'm a geezer.
I live in denver after my first 30 years in Philly...went to the game last night, tonight, and I'm going tomorrow...I'm so proud of us...bringing same energy tomorrow
Hey can I ask since I'm new to baseball. I noticed the first 2 pitchers had interesting motions. The first guy, Beeks, the way he brings his arm back by his side in his wind up. I've never seen that before. Is that unique? And the next guy, Lawrence. Something unique about this side arm motion. I know a lot of players do sidearm, but his looks different for some reason.
@@brandonbenson4441I know these guys didn’t come up in the Philly system but you could kinda add marsh, Alvarado, Stubbs and Clemens. Marsh and Stubbs are the only two there that haven’t played in the minors
That 9th inning was absolute insanity! The Phillies were hyped when Lawrence hit the mound. That sidearm thrown fastball was impressive to see but that inconsistency with hitting his marks was difficult to watch. Not that I could do better. The game was entertaining and won't be one this Rockies fan is going to forget anytime soon.
Phillies fans travel well. Eagles fans do too. It's not surprising. Although I don't expect as much in San Fran. That fanbase supports that team no matter what.
I'm a Phillies fan & I may have to retract my statement about "their WOO may have closed" after the NLCS last season, so I'm hoping that they really win it all this season
I’m assuming you don’t watch the Phillies at all if you thought that 😂😂how would it would have closed? The roster hasn’t changed at all it’s the same team as last year we brought everyone back we needed to
@@corradocampo I've been a phillies fan & been watching them since '97, so don't tell me that I don't watch them at all, you don't know me & you know how many great teams who had short runs, where they either won one WS or none at all? let's list some of these teams: •'00-'01 Mariners •'99-'00, '15-'16 & '22 Mets •'11-'14 Tigers •'04-'05 Astros •'07-'11 Phillies •'10, '11-'12 & '15-'16 Rangers •'12, '14 & '16 Orioles •'08, '11, '18-'19 & '21 Brewers
What a blazing start to the year. Truly a joint effort between the team and the fans out in Colorado. Keep the high hopes rolling through the Rockies! Not to be too blunt, but this MIGHT be the year.
People talk about Philly not facing teams over 500. Philly has a very easy schedule? Braves and Dodgers don’t have that bad of a schedule either. But the Braves can’t get it done against the Pirates who are just under 500 and the Dodgers can’t get it done against the Reds who are not even close to 500. Not to mention, they haven’t looked particularly great against their division rivals unless they’re the Giants. Both San Diego and the Diamondbacks have given them problems. Nobody wants to say anything about that. They both should be giving Philly a run for their money at least and they’re not. Braves should def not be 7 games behind.. are you kidding me? This team is clearly not themselves.
"Comebacks" aren't typically 1 run. Come from behind win? Sure. Comebacks usually require you to be down substantially. It's "technically" right, but sensationalizes it a lot more than it needed to be.
I’m so nervous about the Phil’s Hotter Than Fish Grease start. I’m scared that when it’s going to count the most that they won’t have anything left. Stay hot Phillies… PLEASE
Good teams lose against bad teams all the time lol. This is baseball, you’re going to lose some of those 162 games. The Phillies have been absolutely flying through bad teams.

Hearing the crowed at an away game almost 2k miles away from Philly was breath-taking. And it was almost all game too. Let's go Phillies! MVP MVP MVP!

I'm a Brewers fan, but I like to tune into the Phillies just to see Harper's beautiful swing.
We also enjoy the Hoskins highlights

Love the Philly crowd man. You even hear a Eagles chant 😂
Really ?! 😂😂😭😂
Phillies the most fun team to watch this year so far for sure. Half their guys are farm raised or close to it.
The only farm raised players we have are stott, bohm, Nola and a couple relief pitchers but they all do seem homegrown to philly
Don't forget Ranger & Rojas.
Sosa and Marsh feel like farm raised as they really developed with us.

Did I just witness Harper stare down the same ump at third base that ejected him yesterday
He was looking at the dugout but that would of been cool.
Sure did.. but with a smile..
No. Stop it.

I don’t think anyone is counting the Phillies out this year.
Sosa has been so clutch in so many situations. The depth is nuts.
Following the game, I looked away and fixed something to eat and thought I was tripping when I came back and saw the score ..awesome
They would’ve won last night too had they not run into Angel Hernandez Jr behind the plate

Great job Phillies!
One way to get the Phillies to lose is getting Harper out of the game…oh,that happened already..
I played this for my wife and didn’t show her the screen, and she thought it was a home game highlight.
When Lawrence comes in bet your house that the other team will win
Of course it's against the Rockies. Gosh Rockies fans deserve better. I feel bad for them despite them likely being used to it by now
Just when I was thinking, oh no, they can't lose 2 in a row.......😂🎉🎉
No one is counting them out.
Thank you
Phillies took advantage of the rockies bad bullpen. Just handing it to the phills like they tried to hand it to the pads. Padres couldnt accept🤣

AZ-SF-COL are 3 places Phillies don't play well at
I have a question for baseball fans. How many home runs do Bryce Harper expect in 2024?
30-35
He’s at 13 now and only had 21 in a shortened season for him last year.
About 110 wins..
He’s already at around 12 I think and he started out slow early in the season but he’s picking up again he should have atleast 30
PHIGHTIN!
The Phitins
harpers homer was a fly ball and carried with altitude 😂
That’s why players like Harper love playing in Denver

Phillies were fortunate.
Fortunate to what? Decide to play ball in the 9th?

They were already winning. Clickbait
Who cares? They can't do that in the postseason
Ugh! Get rid of Reuben on the color. He was a solid GM but horrible color man for baseball.
The owners of teams like the Rockies and diamondbacks are not going to spend the money necessary to win championships.
This recap was a lot better when fuzzy got paid to do it. MLB is scummy.
The caption made this seem like a lot more than a 1 run deficit. Philly keep beating up under .500 teams overinflated record for sure
Overinflated record? So to be the best team in baseball they should lose to under .500 teams?
You forget how some of those teams ended up below 500. San Diego and Texas are now under 500 because they got swept by the Phillies
The whole “easy schedule” thing doesn’t work in baseball. This isn’t the NFL where you play 17 games.
Ef filly! Braves , Tomahawk chop!
