I still can’t comprehend how Harper took that 1-2 changeup. It was a perfect pitch, and he didn’t even flinch. 2022 postseason Harper was frigging legendary.
I was there.... section 106 on the pole... The entire stadium erupted. You could feel the stands moving. You could feel the vibrations of the stadium. It was incredible.
Man... I get the chills watching this every time. Never gets old. Brings me back to the moment I was watching the game live, jumping up and down with excitement. He truly lives for the big moments.
@@PopOutPaulienah he’s right. That take to make it 2-2. The amount of pitches he was able to see. This at bat should be on repeat on a screen inside a plaque.
@@PopOutPaulieif you know ball, you’d know that’s a HOF at bat. Was beat by two fastballs away. Fouled two off. Spitting on the changeup was the key, though. That was Suarez’s best opportunity, and Harper had none of it.
I was celebrating my anniversary at a quaint restaurant with no TVs when the notification popped up on my phone (Bryce Harper puts Phillies 3 outs away from World Series) ... I was cool on the outside but going crazy inside 😅
that has got to be one of the greatest at bat's in the history of baseball. the guy's on the Phillies call him. SHOWMAN and this right there is only one of the reasons. he said he was under a lot of pressure when he was a young kid to be the best player in baseball so he was the first pick in the draft. he said that he wanted to be first pick so he could take care of his family he was taking about his dad and mom that family he wasn't married yet. so now that he set his goal and he did it. he has taken care of his family now he has his own family. he can relax and do great things just like that. SHOWMAN HARPER IS THE SHOWMAN. THANK YOU Bryce Harper for coming to Philly. Bryce harper you are PHILADELPHIA you play hard on every play and you work harder to be a great husband and father. SHOWMAN. AND MR. PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES FOREVER HARPER FOREVER
The color guy announcing basically called it. He said fast high and outside but be careful if you leave it low and over the plate Harper can go the other way with it. Exactly what happened. It almost happened on the first pitch.
All the way this year! Everyone healthy and settled in? Check. Bounce back years for pretty much everybody (Realmuto, Casty, Turner and even a little average bump for Schwarbs), and a health Rotation? This is a 100 win team.
Shout out to Joe Davis & Scott Franzke man!! The calls they had were absolutely perfect!! When Bryce goes to the hall, the homerun clip is gonna be the first clip shown in his introduction video.
Was holding my 1 year old and when that ball went over the wall was jumping up an down screaming. Will never forget it! This is the moment I cursed him to be a Phillies fan.
I'm gonna be honest I don't know if I've felt a deeper catharsis in my entire life than when I watched this live. One of the most suspenseful, white-knuckle moments I've ever had watching sports. He took those early cuts and everyone in the entire WORLD knew how much he wanted it. Nevertheless he battled back from behind and I can STILL remember the shot of adrenaline I got when he just SPITS on that 2-2 changeup just outside the zone. Second he hit the ball I blacked out
I am playing the Phillies on MLB9 innings video game, and for the life of me I cannot strike out Bryce Harper, it’s either a double or a home run with him😢 😂
Before he got hit in the hand from Blake Snell that’s how his at bats were. He had more doubles than singles. After he came back from the injury, he didn’t find his groove again until the playoffs. And find it he did.
It's funny, some childhood actor that called himself "Gibby" and was dropping racial slurs and acting a fool because he was apparently on iCarly told me during his rant that I liked a "mid" baseball team. Yep, the Phillies are awfully mid. Then, I looked the guy up and he was bald, rapping in a stream.
Too bad it was all for nothing as he put up 3 straight duds gms 456 in WS loss to Astros. Then went 0 for 8 gms 6 n 7 at home vs Dbacks last October..then vs Mets he did squat in final 2 losses 💩
ONE YEAR AGO TODAY, THIS HAPPENED. #REDOCTOBER 🛎
Harper's never dull.
This is as iconic as Schmidt’s 500th. Alone things a great Phillies moment, add in Frankie’s call and it is iconic. Almost Harry Kalas level.
This was Joe Davis on the call but Franske's call was also pretty good. This is truly an all time Phillies moment. Top 5 imo
Nope his homer against the expos is a better comparison
The Andy Musser radio call of Schmidt's Division clinching HR is the best for the radio because you could see it through the radio.
Ohhhh I'm crying lol 🎉
@@danieldobrosky8378👍 It was about 1:00 AM after a rain delay.
A masterclass in announcing. Make a brief call and let the crowd carry the moment. Beautiful!
Joe Davis is gonna be around a long time in the MLB and we should all be here for it. Guy is elite.

As soon as that pitch was thrown, I was like yeah he's going but as soon as he laid off, I knew right away that he was hitting that bomb
Need him back this year
Rewatching, I’ve never noticed at 6:13 Harper says “oh my god, I just did that” must’ve been quite a euphoric experience.
I noticed it during the game!! So much so that I tried to get a 3 Jersey custom that said “I just did that” and they wouldn’t do it. 😂😂😂
Along with Ken Rosenthal in the background shaking his head as if to say “Oh my gosh, that just happened”

no bs i wanna cry rn. what a memory for the city
Put this entire at bat in the HOF
😂 OK lets calm down. Great moment but thats a little much

I was at this game!
I was strolling in a Target, trying to relax. The game was tense, and I was stressed that the Phillies gave up the lead. Then this happened.

Such an amazing at bat
That’s why he’s great. Drove it to left. A lot of guys try and pull that and fly out to right or pop it up

I say 98 wins and the east , take the third seed of the NL to avoid a bye week
Too early to say healthy.
Let’s hope everyone can stay healthy. This is Philly’s year. Third time is a charm!!

I hate the Phillies... but can't stop watching this. (lifetime Braves fan)
There have been 3x I was sure he was going deep, the slam against the Cubs, June 22 vs the Angels, and this time
My first date with my husband was the Rocky Movie.

big mistake letting Rhys go...total team guy watch his reaction to the homer
No where for him in a realistic world
The fact that we are watching MLB in the last week of October is a testament to the greed that exists in all professional sports in America today.

Here because i disliked those Padre teams and im not even an NL team fan
Human rain delay . Ump should have given him a strike call for his delay getting to the plate and in the box
Let it rain!!
